I went here for a work function, we rented out the party room and had a really good time. Kareokee (please mind the spelling lol) was provided with a DJ, private bartender with complimentary martini's. It was a really great place to hold an appreciation dinner for clients. The hours devours were excellent, pizza was served for dinner, alot of people there enjoyed the pizza, I'm not a big pizza guy so it did nothing for me, but it was good home made pizza. It's definitely worth holding functions here, or just going for a night of dinner and drinks

The hotel is gorgeous, on the inside and out. Staff, from the front desk to cleaning, were so friendly. Everyone greets you with a hello and smile. The hallways are adorned with art and the vintage furniture is arranged perfectly. The light fixtures and hand operated elevator were super interesting. Rooms are a bit small and don't come with fridges or microwaves, but the front desk happily brought us plenty of ice. There was no drawers in our room, but plenty of hangers. The towels are soft and adorned with Gladstone Hotel labels. Overall it was a fantastic place to spend a short stay. The neighbourhood is bustling with delicious food and music. We will definitely be back!

Went there for karaoke night for a friend's birthday. Atmosphere was great and lively and the dj was great. It's not very big and so there's not a lot of tables and that causes a lot of people to be standing in the way. I only visited the melody bar and it had a very nice interior. Can't say much about the food as I didn't eat there. Would recommend for karaoke nights.

Despite the fact that I did not stay at this particular hotel during my stay in Toronto, I have to say that it was one of the places that made all the difference in my trip. Not only is this an architectural gem, for more than the curious fact of having the oldest running cable elevator in the city, but because of the two gentlemen that were amazingly considerate, neighborly, obliging, cordial, friendly (the list could go on) that received me when I managed to get to the hotel. I was particularly interested in going as a result of a newspaper article that had been released on the Caribbean Island local paper were I live, which listed it as a must see art gallery. The problem was I had arrived a little late to see the galleries. But it was the two attending at the front desk on the evening of September the 16th that enabled me to write this for everyone to experience the art, creativity, hospitality and simply outstanding service that I experienced. Not only because one of them opened the gallery for me and walked me through it but because they did it with the same dedication this place provides to local artists and forward thinking combination of utility and culture in one building.
Thank you again. And I will definitely stay here the next and every time I visit Toronto

The Gladstone offers some wonderful artwork, luxury rooms, and extremely good food. The staff are kind and courteous, and care about your experience. My wife and I had our wedding there, and we couldn't have been happier with the service we experienced. Whether you're looking for drinks, food, or a space for your important event, the Gladstone is an excellent choice.

I visited the Gladstone for the kareoke night they had last Sat. The kareoke was very fun.. although most who sang sounded professional we didnt want to follow their act. I hear they also run a debate night here that sounds interesting. The Gladstone had an old elevator that looked amazing in the back. Although we were running late for our reservation the staff were great help to get us a table. A good night was had here!

We attended the "That's so gay" art exhibit at the Gladstone Hotel. The exhibit was diverse and offered a critical lens from the perspective of several different under represented groups. The hotel itself was beautiful and unique, from the neon lights at the front desk to the antique elevator that is still operated by a professional. The help was incredibly friendly. And the location of the hotel is right at the edge of a great shopping district. I would definitely consider staying here in the future.

Always love stopping into the Gladstone cafe for coffee, breakfast and chats. It's cozy and has a great view of a busy corner. The staff aren't in your face but they don't abandon you either. The GH breakfast is always a winner and it's all day.
