Can t complain about it. Just walked in for drinking and it was a nice place. I d improve a little bit the playlist though.

Great staff. Saturday's and Tuesday's you get quality company from the bartenders. Fantastic deals all week long, and usually a bit more sophisticated than some of the other bars in the area;)

Low key, awesome atmosphere bar for absolutely anything. Great prices and great people.

It's loud, it's a bit dirty, it's filled with frat boys, but if you want to play beer pong, like pitcher specials (Wednesday nights) and edible bar food, Gin Mill ain't a bad place to go after a softball game in Central Park.

At the larger end of the spectrum of bars round here, so slightly more room at the bar. Happy hour specials and discounts for students.

Cannot beat the prices. Drinks are weak but if you order shots instead, you honestly cannot beat the prices.

Very poor service. The bar tender last night did not volunteer to serve me and my significant other from Italy. We sat at the bar for at least 20 or more minutes and did not get served even though he was not busy. However, we did not feel welcomed and decided to go to another bar down the street and had an awesome time. 05/04/16 was the night he worked.

Service so good & friendly, and food & drink so affordable, I forgot I was in Manhattan. Making this place one of my regular stops. Can t say enough nice things about it.

Good for the college or right out of college scene - or those who are older but hoping to get back that spirit! It's often crowded and rowdy - don't wear your fancy shoes - they'll get beer or worse on them...

My high school friends and I used to go here when it was known as fire house. They have solid bar foods and drinks. I recently went during happy hour, and there was a bouncer at the door who checked id. Service is great once you are inside and there are beer pong tables in the back.

I believe Gin Mill is part of the Jake's Dilemma/Off The Wagon chain. One of my go-to bars for cheap drinks and pretty tasty bar food.

This place is owned by owners of Jake's Dilemma down the block so great food and drink specials. Typical college bar.

I have always heard good things about this place but unfortunately one of the bartenders thought it a good idea to re-charge my credit card and add an extra tip for him/herself without my knowledge. I was there last Saturday 12/22 in the evening...there was one female and one male bartender present and I'm not sure who the culprit was. So while this seems like an ok place to hang out just BE AWARE that this is going on. If you are leaving tips in cash and paying your tab by card MAKE SURE to cross out the tip section and write in the total always. This is actually the one time I forgot to do it and I got taken advantage of.

This is your average Upper West Side pub-bar. Nothing differentiates it from the others.

College bar trying to look a little more upscale, but still attracts college bar types, BUT, not as much as the other locations owned by the same company. It IS near other college bars, so eventually during certain nights, you're bound to pick up some of the runoff from other bars. I preferred it when it was Moe's and they had Mexican themed foods, but we can't all get what we want, I suppose. Nice spot to hang out with friends if you don't wanna spend a lot of money. Just make sure you find a decent bartender to deal with for the night.

Solid bar with great happy hour prices and a decent selection. Main downside is it's usually quite full, and the long narrow layout can make it hard to get to the bar.

Beer pong in the back. It has your typical bar food (burgers, fries, etc). The atmosphere is mostly college and recent grads reliving the glory days. Great for a Thursday night

This place is really cool whether you loce sports or not. Food is really good and the variety of drinks are great if you are looking for something different

It s an okay place. Mainly a college bar, so don t go here for a quiet drink. The prices were a little high for the food, and the mixed drinks definitely tasted a little watered down.

Good place for happy hour. Good specials and a great staff. Unpretentious, varied clientele, and often very busy.

Great friendly service, half off whole bar till 8 pm but there is always a daily special that makes revisiting fun and exciting. Big space for groups, awesome bar food and great music.

Go to bar for UWS drinks. Gets a bit crowded but the space is huge and accommodating.

Excellent location for happy hour on the upper west side. The place has good energy - busy, but not overly so. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's an elongated restaurant and bar which goes back pretty far.

Iove this place. Chill dive bar popular with 20-30 somethings huge tv's for sports and happy hour every day. What else could you ask for.

We went in on a rainy afternoon. The place was packed which was a real attraction. Had some Brooklyn Brew and appetizers. Beer is definitely better and cheaper. A fun place to visit.

Meh, pseudo Irish pub with terrible music and expensive Guinness. If you're stuck in that neighborhood fine but otherwise hard no.

Best happy hour special I've found in NYC. Didn't even need to ask for them to put the EPL match on. Servers where friendly and attentive. Definitely be going there again next time I visit.

Dead quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. But the place looks really nice and the barman was really nice.

Also the barman is very reminiscent of Aiden from sex and the city. And he served a mean Cosmo.

The most racist bar I ever been to in my life the security just turned me and my friends around because of the color of our skin....we were well dressed and they talked about a dress cold being code "gap"!!! Plzzz if your a African American do not go there!!!!! Plzzzz don't support that bar God bless
