I brought my cat in for his routine shots and found out his top canine teeth needed, most likely, extraction. Dr. Yang explained the procedure to me thoroughly, checked and triple checked that the teeth did actually need to come out, and recommended I schedule a dental. After scheduling the dental exam on the phone (which was incredibly easy, and the person I spoke with answered a lot of questions for me), I brought my cat in to become semi-toothless and have sparkling remaining teeth. Jennifer called me when the procedure was done and updated me on my cat's status, saying those 2 teeth 100% needed to come out according to the X-rays, but the rest of his teeth were in great shape. She answered a plethora of questions for me as well, and told me when I could come get my cat. When I picked him up, she went over home care instructions with me and again updated me on my cat's status. She also informed me he'd been given a long-lasting pain killer and antibiotic injection, so I didn't have to worry about any medicine at home - hooray!
My cat, who is 4.5 years old, was immediately playing and eating as soon as we got home and his recovery has gone absolutely smoothly. I would highly recommend Animal General - they remind me of my beloved veterinary practice in Austin (Brodie Animal Hospital), so it's been great finding a veterinarian up here who reminds me of my last home.
