(The former) Crowne Plaza Oceanfront Hotel Review

Everything was excellent from the moment we walked in. The place was clean and fancy. The pool was amazing. The view was great! The staff great. Literally no complaints. (Only thing is if you have more people than what you say in the room it could be a problem cus you need bracelets to get in the pool, we didn't so wasn't a problem for us!)

Beautiful hotel, with nice beach. Pool deck and local musicians that play there on the weekends. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night passing through on our way home. There was a IV needle in our room that I didn't see and when I went to pick something up it stuck me in my finger. So I spent my night there at the emergency room. I would not recommend stay here.

It was a beautiful hotel, very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had great water pressure.

Fish tacos, entertainment, the beach, what can I say, it doesn't get any better.

Great, we had a nice visit. Outside, oceanfront deck is awesome....hamburgers are the best but rest of food is below average. Breakfast buffet is way over priced.
I would stay there again...just do food elsewhere.

The food at the restaurant was very good. The service from the server lady was a little slow however. I think she was either new or not used to waiting on large parties. I would say it was a pleasant experience though overall.

Great hotel! I love IHG brand hotels and this one did not disappoint! We got upgraded to a corner ocean view that had a large balcony. We couldn t have asked for a better stay. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful, and the view was spectacular. I would recommend to anyone. Very family friendly as well.

Right on the beach. A little noisy at night. Not too bad. Good enough.

None of the rooms are open due to construction but the food was phenomenal! The staff were friendly as well. I personally am not a big fan of their prices, especially for portion size. But it's good overall

We used the conference room for a lunch celebration. The facilities were great and the staff was accommodating.

Older property thta has been updated. Extremely friendly staff. I was shocked at the level of service, right down to the text messages from the concierge to see if my room was like I wanted it.

Beach front access with a beach side bar, pool and hot tub. Great views from every room I could see. Very reasonable on price.

Dinner outside listening to Hot Pink. Server very attentive and wore a mask

The best part of the whole vacation was the cabana, our ocean view and the entrance to the beach. Food was delicious and staff in the cabana was very friendly and helpful. We rented a beach set up for a whole day and it was put up for us. The gentleman was very professional.

Check in staff not professional and/or not trained properly. Rooms were not clean, linens were not clean. Staff was not helpful, stated that COVID was the reason why they will not clean rooms or bring necessities to the room. Elevator was out of order most of the time due to upgrading. Ice machine had bugs and black flakes in it. Not sure what that was about. When asked about our rooms and location, they stated that "they give the rooms based on how they are booked. Priceline gets different rooms than customers that book personally because of the discounts." I felt this was unprofessional and shows that trying to book through an agency is not always the best options and puts a bad taste in the mouths of customers when it comes to agencies such as Priceline.

Time to hire a new housekeeping and maintenance team.

Great view from the restaurant. Friendly staff. The rooms are a bit run down though.

If you don't mind a room with ants, roaches, mold ,holes, cracked walls, rusted appliances and mildew smell. Then this is the place for you.

The hotel is very outdated. It is not a 4 star. The my room was very dirty stains in the carpet I was very dissapointed with this hotel. I would stay away from this place. Very misrepresented.

Great view of the ocean, mostly quiet, the service is great it was exactly the same as when we first walked into it!

Small room for large price, trash left on balcony. Told staff about trash immediately, was not taken care of. Bathroom was not clean, and not attended to, we cleaned ourselves. Horrible experience happened and there was absolutely no sense of urgency by staff. Will NOT stay again, and WILL NOT recommend

Went for anniversary dinner and was very quite and had good time

The hotel was under renovation this year but we still enjoyed our stay. The staff is great and the location is stellar.

Didn't even last 2hrs at this place. Checked in to a motel style room. Very outdated and no oceanview and no balcony. Asked to be moved, front desk clerk was Rude. I went back down after traveling from the parking lot to my room back to the lobby with all my families items. I was given a hearing assistance room. WTW did I walk into. A loud room with the view of all the AC units for that building. I immediately called down and told them this is NOT going to work. I was told that's the last double they have for the nite. I can call tomorrow to speak to a manager about another double room if available. Absolutely NOT...Went back to the lobby and checked out. Went over to the Hilton last minute booking. Will never book another SPG hotel again. Rude, crowded and bad parking.

Great hotel, wonderful staff, the restaurant left something to be desired. Slow slow service and food mediocre.

Great experience at this hotel. Loved the restaurant and bar overlooking the ocean.

Staff was nice and helpful, but room was kind of dated. Vanity light in the bathroom had to be replaced, and the light it gives out is terrible. It's got a bed, a bathroom, and a tv, so that's all that interested me.

Service was horrible. Our waitress was nowhere to be found the entire time.. The view of the full moon was good though.

Great hotel!!! Very helpful staff and beautiful views of the ocean from the rooms. Definitely worth the price for a room.

Good site for large events. There is ample space in the multiple conference rooms. The food was good and the service was professional. My only complaint is that there was no air conditioning in the lobby.

Some items in rooms need a bit of TLC.
It has been redone in most areas and has a nice updated feel, large tvs in rooms. No carpet in rooms.
Still need a bit of work in a few areas.

I booked an oceanfront room but got an ocean view room. Manager awarded me points for a room in the future. The sheets were damp when we got there. The bathroom floor was sticky.
The Eggs Benedict I had delivered using room service was excellent. When I went out on the balcony to listen to the ocean, all I could hear were the air conditioning units running on the floor below and a very loud band playing by the pool. This is not a bad place but it's far from what I had hoped for or expected.

Beautiful beachside hotel. Does great weddings. Christina earp is great to work with.

Nice place, clean and really good food in the restaurant.

Overall great experience, the minor issue was that we were able to hear noise from the neighbors above us. As if they were rolling marbles or something. The upside is that the noise did stop at a reasonable hour, so sleep wasn't an issue. If you want to sleep in, do not book next to the restaurant/pool. I'm a music lover, it didn't bother me at all, just note that music will be playing for the whole beach party chill vibe. All staff were pretty welcoming. On-site menu $$.

The view from our room was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The front desk employees were friendly and helpful. However, the bar had one bartender and didn't have items available on the menu. Our breakfast was complimentary, but was a buffet that was poorly arranged. I'm glad it was complimentary because they want charge $17 a plate. We are local so only stayed one night, but it was a Friday with no live entertainment. Next time we want a overnight stay I'd much rather go to the Hilton!

Decent room. No vents in bathroom and towel rack is in shower when there eis plenty of space above toilet. No hotel info book either. Besides that, not bad. Oh and found dirty cleaner rag in closet.

Crowne Plaza, is a nice beach front hotel with great staff of employees that work hard to give their GUEST/CUSTOMER'S(from business,vacationers to locals) exceptional service......the Marisol Restaurant, has a wonderful view with outside dining overlooking beach along with excellent food choices & drinks.... prices are OK, would recommend trying....

Not bad but not a 4 star stay,dated building hot tub not working,and some floors had a mold smell

We got a good view. The hotel provided us with free champagne for our honeymoon and free breakfast. The beach is right by the hotel, which is very convenient and relaxing.

Hotel is fine. There s two buildings to stay in, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor building is significantly nicer than the outdoor. The room we stayed in was on the outdoor side and was fine. The carpet in the room was disgusting and made my allergies flare up. Couldn t stop sneezing! Hotel staff & front desk was very kind however.

Location on the beach is ok. They were doing renovations while we were there. The room was a bit small and the bathroom was not that great. The breakfast was expensive for what you'd get for free at most other places. If it wasn't for the beach then there wouldn't be much positive to write about. I just don't see a future where I'm taking the family back.

Their management and staff are hosting a group of firefighters while their station across the atreet is being remodled and repaired. (of course the department is paying for the rooms the crews are using) but to me it seems they havg gone out of their way to make the stay the best possible for the crews.

Clean, comfortable, with ocean views. Courteous and friendly staff. Fairly priced.

We had Christmas lunch buffet. We sat outside in the party tent with the full view of the ocean.
The atmosphere, food and service was great.
