Loved this place, beautiful grounds, very quaint! Visited the pool witch was relaxing but the spa and thermal pools are a must! My wife was pregnant so the water temperature was exactly what her and the baby needed!

I stayed at this establishment while I was down th...

I stayed at this establishment while I was down there (from Oregon) working the wildland fires this year (2020). My entire task force of 25 people showed up looking for a room as we hadn't showered or slept in a real bed for quite a while. No other hotels in the area were able to accommodate such a large group. The staff were phenomenal. There we were, dirty, smelly, tired, cranky firefighters. The staff without question treated us as if we were in a tuxedo. The check-in process took 30min. That's for our whole group! 15 rooms in 30mins! The room, facility, grounds and service were top notch. If I find myself in the area again, whatever the reason, I'll be staying again.

We stayed a few nights last week and absolutely loved our stay. We had a relaxing spa day, a delicious dinner at the restaurant, a fun pool day with kids, and enjoyed a beautiful suite with everything you could need! We can't wait tell our next stay

Had a wonderful four days stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. Staffs are very nice and professional, was greeted upon arrival with a glass of apple cider. Room was very spacious and cleaned. Enjoyed very much the bacce and corn hole games.

I completely love this place!

I completely love this place!
Our second year and was better than the last.
Clearly we can't do anything about crappy guests, but the majority of them are nice!
The staff is absolutely amazing, going above and beyond upon request!
I'm in the hospitality industry as well, so I'm a generous tipper when it comes to Outstanding Service!
It really brings me joy when grateful people appreciate each other on both ends.

I came here for a company event, have to say all the staff were amazing and very helpful. The rooms were great and the facilities were fantastic. The bars, pool and surrounds are all great. Can't praise this place high enough

Great spot, beautiful grounds and very attentive staff. We were there in the midst of the recent fires and they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. Would definitely go back.

My wife and I have been going to the Fairmont for a lot of years and have stayed there as well and today we invited our family to have breakfast since we have always experienced great food and service and have always enjoyed the experience but this morning was the biggest disappointment ever.<br/>We noticed the waiters were setting up another table in front of us with mimosas but another client came up to our table to advise us that the members of the party decided to wait until we were finished because they did not want to sit next to us since we were speaking spanish:<br/>We had 8 adults and 2 kids, the waiter came after and offered us wine if we left the room which was very uncomfortable and unpleasant and felt discriminated and we did not want to cause a scene and decided to go outside with my family to enjoy the rest of our day since we drove from San Francisco. We did not care for the free wine or fruit but the fact that we even asked to speak with the manager and we were told, he was too busy to talk to us.<br/>We enjoy life just like everybody else and have money to pay for the services and great food and I will make to add this same comment everywhere I can and hopefully you will read this and think twice before you make this arrangements and not insult somebody else.<br/>We will not be going there anymore. <br/>Thanks and have a good night.<br/>Sincerely,<br/>William Moran

Beautiful location. Spa pools and services were excellent. Very good customer service, they took care of all issues promptly and to my satisfaction.

The guided hike provided by the hotel was beyond my expectations. We went to Jack London State Park, the Guide was engaging, very knowledgeable about the area and the history. The hike was a easy pace through a stunning state park.

last minute things happen, exactly what we wished for and with the most amazing and personal touch. We ll come back just because of her, we love it here - thank you Faye, you made our stay! They should give you a promotion.

My favorite spa by far... Ive been to many through...

My favorite spa by far... Ive been to many throughout the world, but I love SMI's bath ritual followed by the rejuvenating kur and the vanilla floatation table treatment so much I keep coming back. When booking request a room in one of the outer buildings for a bit of extra space, but honestly you can't go wrong either way.

It was great! Very relaxing. The avocado toast was so good . The customer service needs some work. Our massage therapists were the only ones that gave us exceptional service. Erin and Helen gave amazing massages and made us feel very relaxed. The water yoga instructor was amazing as well. The other employees we came in contact with gave us great service as well just not quite on the level I expect going to a resort like that. They were friendly and nice and attentive. When paying a lot for an experience like that I would expect a much higher and sophisticated service. Anytime I asked for a menu I was shown where to go by someone pointing instead of offering to bring one back for me. It seems lazy and there were not that many people there either. All in all I gave it 4 because of that and I would still go again.

I can only speak for the spa portion as I didn't stay in the hotel. As such though it remains one of the great spas in the bay area. What stands out to me is the staff who are experienced and very helpful. The massage I received was one of the best I've had and really felt tailored to my needs. There are aspects of the experience I felt could have been better though, during my visit there were a few water features that were not working inside the roman bath house and in the outdoor pool that slightly tarnished an otherwise very enjoyable day. That said though it is the off season for them and they could be fixed by the time peak season rolls around. All in all though, if you're going to go for a massage or any of their services you won't be disappointed.

I would have given a 5 star review if it had not b...

I would have given a 5 star review if it had not been for the staff working in the Spa area (not spa check in area). On two different days, I was treated in an extremely rude way by the older women working in the front entrance of the spa. It was my first time visiting, and the minute I walked in, I was rudely told that this is where the tour ends. I guess you could say I was kicked out? The next day, I had a similar experience with a different older woman. She looked at me like I was a bum off the street as I asked her if she could show me around as it was my first time visiting. The whole interaction left me with an icky feeling and I didn t even end up using the day pass.

As a professional and successful career woman in San Francisco, I did not appreciate feeling so uncomfortable and in a way, discriminated against. That being said, everyone else in the Fairmont staff is warm and very welcoming. I think they might need to consider getting some other individuals to work inside the spa, it might be time for these women to retire.

I ve come here multiple times over the years. The people continue to provide excellent service. But the physical experience has declined and is disjointed. It is really in the details.

The bar has a very modern look and feel which has zero to do with the lobby, which seems to be a mix of modern traditional Ashley furniture plus some Spanish style? Pretty generic and confused. The rest of the property seems to be trying for a hacienda style except when you get in the rooms which are stuck in the 90s and utterly nondescript. They could be an average hotel room anywhere. The music that is piped is just random. I would love to know who gets to pick it. Last night, Pearl Jam was blaring in the lobby. This morning it s Jack Johnson/soft rock? Everything is just a bit too worn out and down. The spa really needs some attention, love and cohesion. Furniture is broken, the rain walk mostly non functioning and locker rooms look like a nice YMCA. The reservation only cabanas are super Vegas which again is just so random. The whole property could use a strong vision and brand direction to really bring this place back together with a clear eye and point of view. There are all the makings to provide the luxury experience we would all love (and are paying for). Again, every single person who works here has been top notch and provided excellent service! I m referring to the cosmetic look and feel that an interior designer could make all the difference.

Ed was incredibly gracious and reached out immediately. We so appreciated how responsive he was in addressing our comments and concerns. This is testament to the excellent staff and service provided here, and the attention paid.

Best massage I have had! Went for a friend's birth...

Best massage I have had! Went for a friend's birthday and enjoyed the day by the pool and then massages. Enjoyed time in the jacuzzi and pool before we were pampered with massages. Took away one star because it was hard to find a spot by the pool and the service for food and drinks was slow.

This resort is absolutely gorgeous. Very relaxing. The concierge was so helpful in making reservations for a food and wine pairing outing. As I was here for the MCE Conference from Tampa Florida, I wanted to enjoy my free time to the fullest. The front desk staff were very helpful, the complementary shuttle brought us to the Golf Club House for dinner. Let me tell you, the food and service was out of this world. Just amazingly beautiful sitting outside on the patio. I highly recommend this resort.

Pretentious and in need of a facelift..staff needs lessons in manners and customer service. Great room but the overall attitude borders on snobbery. Many areas- restaurant, lobby, are in need of renovation, worn, and tired.

Won a trip here at a fundraiser and was REALLY pleased! Slight bump on check in - miscommunication- but this was handled gracefully and all else exceeded expectation. Only had time for one spa service but "what a service". Never before have I been rendered speechless and turned to mush from an acupressure treatment.
