Stunning hotel, stunning location. Only downside is all the tourists walking through - felt kind of like a mall. I was really looking forward to sitting at their lounge and having a drink while overlooking the frozen lake and mountains. It was one of the main reasons why I flew to Banff. However, they closed the restaurant to hotel guests only, which I thought was very disappointing and inconsiderate. There was skating and hockey on the frozen lake. And an ice cafe with spiked hot chocolate, tea and coffee. Bundle up because my eyelashes were frozen at - 45!

Needed a little get away and chose to stay in our own province. I haven't been to Lake Louise in years, and after going I am not sure why. Beautiful scenery and a wonderful hotel. It was magical to wake up in the morning after a fresh snow to see people skating on the lake, it looked like they were floating. Highly recommend that if you need to recharge, chose something close, stay here.

Beautiful hotel right by the lake. Definitely recommend visiting. We had the lunch buffet with our tour group here a few years ago and it was a highlight of the trip. The shops on the lower floor are available to visitors and interesting to walk through.

It's almost difficult to refrain from breaking into "The Sound of Music" theme when you see this place. The water is an unrealistic colour, as though some kid picked up the wrong crayon. Mountains are visible from the window and the smell of pine is ever present. The hotel itself has an old world feel to it....that touch of class. The Chateau is a bit of a drive from the town itself, so don't think you've taken a wrong turn. It's quiet and at night, when the sun goes behind the mountain, the lake is flat as glass. It might not be for everybody (i.e. if you have ADHD and crave constant lights and stimulation, go elsewhere). I loved it. It was all luxury. In the very early morning I grabbed something from the deli downstairs and sat by the lake where a sassy bird tried to steal my food. There are retro cocktails to transport you back to finer days, where people dressed for dinner and drinks. The food itself was top notch. This hotel is known all over the world for a reason.

Went here for dinner and I did book table in advance to meet client who stay inside the hotel, they are very hostile toward non guest. I'm not allowed to park at Hotel parkade. So I parked outside at the Lake Louise parking. Food is good, customer service not so much.

Unbeatable location on the shores of Lake Louise. If you can't justify a room here, at least stop by before or after your hike up the Plain of Six Glaciers for a hot drink (in the mornings) and/or an ice cream (in the summers).

Went to the fancy bar to get a coffee. I think they did a single shot, so make sure to ask for a double. I then rented some skates and went skating on the lake. Skating was the highlight $15 + tip for 2 hours. It was great, I felt like staying out longer. I then went back to the bar and had a hot cider drink which was tasty but quite expensive $14 + tip + tax.

Came here on vacation from Toronto. This hotel came highly regarded from our friends. I'm happy to report that they are still my friends because this place was absolutely stunning. the view from our room was breathtaking. The customer service was excellent both at the front desk and the restaurant. we thought the room was more than adequate, but not the best. but it didn't matter to us, because we didn't want to stay in the room the whole time, we wanted to explore and see the natural beauty that waited for us outside. If you ever find yourself in this area, do yourself a favour and book a night or more at this hotel. You will not be sorry you did so.

Talk about luxury!! This is a must visit in the Lake Louise area. I did a high tea with a group and it was well worth it. They had champagne and everyone got an individual tea tray with tons of good options. They even accommodate our gluten and lactose allergies which we appreciated.

The front desk and concierge staff were exceptional! A few hiccups with room service and in room dining but it was mostly smooth. Beautiful views and a very spacious suite with large bathroom.

Extremely disappointing visit. Especially for a repeat visitor who s visited countless times and have taken out-of-town guests to this property. We drove out on a quiet Monday to skate on the lake and then take in a lovely lunch in the lounge. But they refused our party of four for a table because we weren t staying at the hotel. I guess I could have said I was a Platinum rewards member but I was too soured with that refusal for a table and truly, what a terrible policy. The odd thing, no line up for a table and there were free tables in plain sight. So sad having spent $1000 s at this property over the years. Such a tiny negative experience that has killed our family tradition.
