Such a gorgeous place! The hotel is beautiful and staff always amazing. Gorgeous views with dinner in the main restaurant and free ice skating if you bring skates! If you take a stick and puck you can play hockey on the world's most exclusive ice... So lucky I live in Alberta and can do this drive often. 2 hours from Calgary and worth it! A must see when visiting. Summer time means Lake Moraine is open and I recommend the short drive. It's a never forget place so take advantage while here. Beautiful scenery and hiking never hurts too! Make sure to go for a walk thru the hotel and see how the other half lives. If you're here... do it!

We stayed for 2 nights last week in a one bedroom suite. Spacious rooms and bath-room. Beautiful property and great access to trails. Top notch customer service at the front desk and restaurants. Being vegans, we required quite a bit of customization and the chefs did a great job at the Lounge and Alpine Social. Huge shout out to Aakash at the Front Desk for being super helpful. Fabulous property and fantastic staff! HIghly recommend!

Visited the hotel during the day but didn't stay overnight. Looked absolutely beautiful. The cafe was lovely, albeit a little crowded. Very reasonable prices for tea, coffee, cakes, sandwiches, etc. Lake Louise is a must-see location.

More than over the moon with the service received from the team at Fairmont Gold. We were given many perks and the staff (particularly Andrea on reception) went above and beyond what we could have possibly imagined .Stunning views. Large room .Comfortable bed! No complaints.

Nice hotel but lots of tourists make it hard to access due to traffic. Nice hikes around and lots of shops and restaurants, very nice outdoor patio with view of Lake Louise.

Canoe rentals available in the summer and ice skating in the winter!

We were there to spend time at their ice castles and rinks! Everything was well managed outside despite the large snowfall this week. However, the parking lot was atrocious. No clear lines so everyone was parking everywhere making it difficult to drive through. Perhaps they should hire someone to help monitor the lot to Ensure visitors can safely navigate to the area.

This weekend was my first time to the Chateau and I was blown away, not just by the beauty of it all, but by how gracious and kind all of the staff was. From the front desk staff, bartenders at the Alpine Social and our awesome wedding coordinator, everyone was awesome. I cannot wait to get back!

There isn't a hotel with a more beautiful view in the world! The staff is very friendly yet professional, starting with Kurt curbside and then Tom porting the luggage and answering questions. Thank you both. We also had some great experiences in the dining rooms. Erika and Anthony made dining delightful experiences. Thank you both.

Beautiful place, we went there in the middle of winter so we couldn't see the lake in all it's glory but it's still a beautiful scenery and you can walk on the lake if you want to, the ice is thick enough to make it safe.

Not worth the outrageous price. Rooms aren t air conditioned, so you open your windows, only to be assaulted by the beeping of tour buses backing up all day. Small shower. Concierge was sullen. For the amount they charge per night I really expected more. Disappointing.

Over hyped as a quality hotel though the setting is magnificent. Just went for a coffee and cake we were directed upstairs to the Deli. The packaged sandwiches were $13 and coffee not great. There was mess on the floor and toilets were not 5 star. Glad I wasn't paying over $1000 a night to stay here if this was representative of the standard offered. Certainly not quality compared with other world class hotels visited. More like a Las Vegas hotel than Hotel de Paris or Claridges.

Literally, just returned and wanted to ensure I added a quick review. All I can say is WOW!!! some of the best service my wife and I have ever had. At checkin Van immediately mad us feel welcome with a warm smile, great attitude and excellent service. Small talk on our arrival led to my wife and I revealing that it ww were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. This one small discussion led to our entire week filled with staff members congratulating us and ensuring we were given some of the more exclusive seating in the hotel restaurants (window seats with a view of the lake). Upon returning from dinner on our first night we were greater with a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Amazing gesture that really speaks about the classiness of the staff and hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting the area even if just one night. I would add we were on the shoulder season - the hotel was busy but not as hectic as I assume peak summer days are but my guess is that anytime you visit you will be treated like royalty. Thanks Van and Fairmont team you made our visit truly memorable!!!.

Great Place to stay!
Very comfortable, very unique! Amazing place!
Some of the weren t too happy about taking pictures for us, I think that everybody ask them, maybe they are sick of if. Not sure.
We had Supper in the Lake View Lounge, ordered a Lobster Mac n Cheese: terrible, you can t find the Lobster , you can t even feel the taste of Lobster! It is terrible, like a Scam for you to pay expensive and never find the lobster! I Was disappointed!

This was one of the best experiences we had as a family. The hotel was absolutely amazing and gorgeous. The restaurant staff were amazing and the food was good.
Our rooms were equipped with everything we needed given the COVID crisis.
Be prepared to take lots of pictures.
My only suggestions would be to call ahead to confirm your booking with a family group. We had requested a 2 beds for our children on booking but when we arrived there were no 2 beds available
Also, would be awesome if the restaurants had a sharing plate (charcuterie or cheese plate) menu option.
Best experience ever. Highly recommend

Great service and location. A bit pricy but great friendly people. Ice skating available on a frozen lake. Skiing a shuttle bus away .

Given that restaurant wasn't open, on request, they brought a bigger fridge in the room and microwave I was able to bring my own food and order one meal a day as room service. It was fantastic.

It is great place to be even during winters. There are lots of activities that you can do while stying here, skiing, skating, sight seeing etc. The rooms are cozy although smaller than normal room. One important thing to keep in mind is that humidity is very low in winters here, so rooms are super dry. But they can provide you with humidifier. There is 24/7 deli if you need to buy food/drinks. There are some restaurants as well. It does have swimming pool, fitness centre etc. If you call reception, help will be available in about 15-20 minutes. Whichever room you are in, you will get to see mountains or lake outside your window. There is no doctor on site but there is a clinic close by if needed. You can buy over the counter drugs from general store that they have.

Got there late, room got upgraded, every single staff member I interacted with was thoughtful and professional. The location was excellent, beyond the lake itself, Banff park is gorgeous and the hotel's proximity to basically everything is intriguing. Will definitely come back. View from the room window attached.

All the staff wearing masks is creepy as all hell. Nobody greeted me when I walked inside.

5 star service? I can get better service at a roach motel in Golden.

Suffice to say, we decided not to stay here this time and because of how rude the staff were, likely never will again.

Incredibly beautiful scenery. Very good food at surprisingly reasonable prices. The waffle fries with ketchup were so good I could hardly stop. Very enjoyable meal followed by great walk around the lake.

Of the Fairmont hotels in the area this is the more modern of the two but no more/less lovely than the Banff Springs location as they both offer wonderful views, amenities, and friendly staff.

Will be back again soon! :)

It's a huge honeypot for tourists. Visited here in the summer and it was insanely busy. So much for tranquil serenity! The hotel had a quick stop cafe inside which served reasonable dishes at above average prices. It was set up in a way it could cope with a massive influx of tourists fresh off of a coach.

Lake Louise is located at the foot of the Victoria...

Lake Louise is located at the foot of the Victoria Glacier, which looms over it and is snow capped year round. The water in the lake is a milky blue, unlike any water I have ever seen elsewhere. Now the color of water is important. I doubt that the Caribbean would be nearly so popular, if the sea there was not that lovely turquoise color. The color of Lake Louise is likewise what makes it so popular. The lake is at 5039 feet above sea level and the village that sits on its shore is the highest permanent settlement in Canada. That village is dominated by Chateau Lake Louise, a large and very grand hotel built by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company at the end of the 19th century. Their aim was to attract wealthy Easterners to travel across Canada by rail in order to stay at the hotel. What I have omitted entirely is the fact that Lake Louise is one of Canada s finest ski resorts. That is because I was there during a pleasantly warm August with a lack of snow on the ground, which makes skiing a bit tricky! However, one can still take advantage of the many chair lifts to reach a higher altitude. One can then avoid both a tiring climb and an angry bear.

Great location, one of the best. Access to hikes is outstanding. Staff and service was also great. 3* as the food was very disappointing. I expected expensive but I also expected quality. The food was way below where it should be in terms of taste, thoughtfulness and quality. Complained and it was dealt with very well but the fact remains it was a poor food experience. Ended up driving to Banff for good food.

It's not just a bed to sleep in. They have everything from a living room with games to play, they have a pool and work out room. But also great views no matter where you look. All the staff are amazing and if you have any kind of food issues they are very accommodating and understanding

Although you pay a lot, you get what you dropped your pants for. Hotel area is quite authentic and every staffmember seems to Make a big deal of your person but again it feels authentic. Tourists can walk almost everywhere which is a downside, but the amazing Lake Plus view comes with a price.
We paid for vallet parking which was not necessary at all since we had an oversize (Cruise canada t17 camper Truck) and parked the car ourselves right in front of the building. I suggest parking your car where all tourists do, as it is just as close.
Our golden deluxe Suite on the seventh Floor was very clean came with all possible amaneties there are (you can even leave your shoes in a designated bag outside the room and have clean returned in the morning). Golden Suite doenst necessarily include a Lake Views, but View on Mountains was also nice. Parking buses were loud though. The pool area was a big Highlight. Big whirlpool (fits up to 15 people) and medium Swimmingpool (45 people). We went there at 9 AM and it was completely empty. Steamroom with eucylyptus was just as amazing. Free cucumber&mint water and towels. You also have the possibility to spindry your bathers in the changing room.
The poppy's Brasserie buffet was simply bananas (If you cannot decide to wether taking french toast or crepe, well they put one thing on the other and serve it all together). Whilst enjoying an outstanding breakfast you look outside and get yourself amazed by the panorama (again).
Alpine social Club (former glacier saloon) was exquisite, we Had a rather standart burger which was one of Thrones best i have had in in america. They serve any kind of spirits as well a fair variety of Beers.
I would recommend to stay at fairmont chateau lake again.

If you love history, snow, nature, and great service then put this place on your bucket list. We stayed over Christmas and it was amazing. We had 6 people and the two bedroom suite not only fit us but had room for a full size Christmas tree with 2 and a half baths. Every single employee at the Fairmont chateau delivered exceptional services. We pulled in a 1 am in a blizzard and they still valet our car and took our bags to the room with care. The next few days were white out conditions but everything in the chateau was open. From the breakfast buffet to ice bar outside in 0 degrees weather the employees treated us like family.
During the week of Christmas the chateau puts on quite the list of family activities all of which we did. From stocking making to gingerbread house making plus the Brewster ranch dinner and ballroom buffet. The kids loved all of it. The chateau has whats called the living room which is above the lobby with all the coffee, tea, cider, or hot chocolate you could drink my kids started a monopoly game which last off and on over 5 days.
The chateau will arrange for transport for most of you activities and the concierge staff gladly helped us build an itinerary to keep it simple.
The outside weather was freezing but the snow was pure powder up yo 4ft deep in some places. Access to the lake is steps away and the chateau will rent you anything you need to enjoy it.
The drive from Calgary is about 2 hours plus depending on driving conditions so allow for driving time when planning
