The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Review

We went for the ice sculptures. They were neat but certainly not worth the $35 tickets. I would not pay for this again

Fabulous hotel, beautiful location. Only thing is that the village is very small, so food options are mostly limited to those available in the hotel.

Just next to Lake Louise with fantastic views of the lake. Nice food. Great services.

Excellent view of the Lake Louise; good & attentive service; good execution of quality food; room for improvement on presentation.

Parked the RV for the night and took in the sights! AND WHAT SIGHTS!!! The Rockies are truly one of the wonders of Canada!!

Awesome! If we could have stayed at any one place while on our Rocky Mountaineer tour, this would have been the place. So much beauty. Mountains. Lakes. Glaciers. Outstanding, comfortable hotel with impeccable service.

Great hotel, atmosphere and the awesome view of lake louise

I live nearby, so my main reason for visiting is the restaurants. All of them are excellent, but Lakeview Lounge is the best thanks to the amazing view.

This is the real beauty in Canada where everyone should go once at least because Lake Louise is the place to walk over to enjoy and the main natural sight to relax,sit with your favourite one and Just enjoy the view.I just loved the Canoe there as This is very safe to do it

Beautiful hotel and area. Great view of Lake Louise. Wish the shop in the hotel was a little bigger for a better selection of souvenirs.

Rooms restaurants shops staff absolutely amazing and what a spectacular view

We did not stay here, but had a nice lunch by the brasserie - as it was a late lunch, it was quite empty and we got a FANTASTIC seat by the huge window.

Well I didn t go inside because I was just visiting Lake Louise but it looks amazing! For the price of one night it better is amazing! The location is the best!

An incredible hotel with an amazing view of Lake Louise. Enjoy the hotel, with it's various restaurants, spa, fitness center, and pool. Make the hotel your Rocky Mountain base camp and take on the trails of Banff National Park.

Room is neat and clean. There is a deli open 24 hours, and diiferent kind of stores inside the hotel, very convenient to get stuff you need. I can see Lake Louise from my hotel room.

Well it is one of the gems of western Canada. I am awestruck every time I go to the area. I took friends from Toronto and they loved it.

A historic hotel with spectacular views of Lake Louise. Many hiking trails are nearby including a nice hike up to the famous Agnes Teahouse. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing.

wondered around the hotel. didn't actually book a room since it's so expensive. just went as a tourist while at lake louise. the bathroom there is nice.

Visited the Lake. Came inside to sit down, couldn't find a place to sit. Every seat was filled. Beautiful building though.

Saw the hotel from the outside while visiting Lake Louise. Very fancy hotel that is kept well over the summer, and had lots of events going on outside!

Ugh! I wish they were a little away! The beautiful lake Louise seems man made because it's too close to the hotel!

Amazing views year-around. Friendly staff and location can't be beat. Lake Moraine and Banff are a short distance away. In the winter, skating on the picturesque lake is a uniquely Canadian experience.

Elegant. Extremely well managed. Hotel guests are treated differently from day tourists but it's managed politely and delicately. Best advice? Use the Valet. Order it when you book. Pull up, give them your keys. Your bags will be in your room shortly. When leaving just check out. Your car will have the bags in it.

Lake Louise is a Very beautiful place. Air very fresh. But hotel little expensive. Any wai it worth to stay one or couple nights :-)

Our server was wonderful. I had grilled cheese with tomato soup. My wife had a hamburger. All were very good. Very nice restaurant in a first rate hotel. Out of the windows we saw approximately a dozen elk on the frozen lake.

Great location, great views, wonderful facility and services.

Although the Lodge is stunning as are the grounds, the handicap RV parking was insultingly inappropriate not only remote but uphill. We ate in the beautiful bar in the lobby. We did not know that the solar heat gain was melting us along with the snow. Then to top it off the high priced Burger was so over cooked it was tasteless and trading with my husband for his chicken sandwich which was good but certainly not a 10. So go for the view or maybe dinner which we did not have time for

Great iconic hotel in a breathtaking setting. Our room was in the very center of the hotel overlooking the lake. It was spectacular. Hotel guests were treated with great attention and care. Restaurants were terrific. A very special place that we will never forget.

A must do!!! I will warn you that it is a little pricey to rent the canoes but it is worth it. The views and the water are beautiful! Be ready to take some beautiful pictures.

Unbearable view of Lake Louise from this hotel. If you are planning to have high tea, be sure to make a reservation in advance or else walk in is limited and pirority is given to hotel guest.

Gorgeous place but super busy on weekends off course.

Beautiful. You can eat up half a day walking around this lake a witnessing its beauty. Bring your dog if you like. Dogs are allowed. There is lots of parking. If you have the cash, you can eat at the hotel. But bringing a bag lunch and sitting outside is also well worth it. Just take in that view.

Luxury by a lake of such exquisite beauty that you cannot take your eyes off it. The hotel hallways can be crowded during the summer months, but once you find a quiet spot to enjoy the view, it is worth the minor irritations. The hotel is also home to many restaurant options, so you can eat in a different spot several nights in a row. The spa is excellent, peaceful, and warm. I think the staff at the Fairmont is its strength. They are friendly and knowledgeable about the locale. But, did I mention the lake views? Prepare to be swept away!

It is a must go place if you are in Vancouver. The lake is very beautiful.

Fabulous hotel with a beautiful garden overlooking the beautiful Lake Louise. It has beautiful huge stained glass windows overlooking the mountains. The scenery here is stunning!

This is the gem of the Fairmont trio of hotels in the area. Lake Louise is right outside the back door. Thousands of visitors pass by the hotel walking on the lake every day. Wide variety of restaurants, entire shopping arcade from books to clothes to art. Spa and pools also on site. Not ti be missed!

Stayed one night in Nov 2020. Upgraded to a lakeview room. Incredible view. Nice hike outside the hotel to the end of the lake. Lakeview Lounge at the hotel had a solid dinner. Very cool spot.

We ate the alpine social and it was a so so experience. Patio had no ambiance or music. My order was sent out wrong so had to wait longer to eat while my husband started on his meal. Prices were a bit high

Great stay, lots of activities just inquire at the hotel or on their website. Great service, great breakfast buffet. Go for a hike up to Lake Anges, it's doable in the snow. Was hoping for an upgrade for my birthday and got a free bottle of wine instead. No complaints here. Make sure to check out the ice bar, unfortunately, it was still under construction when we went. Just wander around in the hotel it's great. Overall a positive experience.

A really busy place with tourists. Unless you are a guest of the chateau, you cannot get inside. From the lake there is a hike to a 'Tee house' (don't forget water) with a great view.

Worth the time to visit and plan to stay for lunch the food n staff/service was the best during our trip to Banff. Try to go early, during the week, to avoid the large crowds and if you plan on a meal try not to dress like a bum

Hard to describe in words. Probably the most beautiful place in North America. Service is exquisite, the views are unbelievable, smaller sized rooms/bathrooms compared to Most Fairmonts but hands down most beautiful place maybe in the world!!
