The D Casino Hotel Las Vegas Review

The rooms and the atmosphere is great, but the elevator system is weird to the point where we decided to stay elsewhere moving forward.

Good gambling, rooms are simple, fun place, loud at night

Friendly atmosphere and not as Smokey as other casinos!

Close parking, elevators are in a convienant location. Rooms were spacious and clean. It's connected to freemont experience, even on the 31st floor it's loud until midnight, we were up past then so it wasn't an issue for us. Big clean bathrooms and comfortable bed and seats. Had my hair and make up some for my wedding in the room, had plenty of space to get ready.

Nice hotel; I even met the owner, Derek Stevens, but there are no refrigerators in the rooms and no microwave. The rooms are very basic like a motel 6. It does have a beautiful hotel and Casino and the staff are excellent. The flair bartenders are amazing.

Fist time coming to Las Vegas , and staying in this hotel I had a very good experience . My husband and myself loved it clean rooms . The tv could upgrade on the choices of channels . Other then that great experience

Fun place to gamble and drink downtown. It's nothing fancy but serves a purpose. Too smoky though but the drinks are relatively cheap.

We gambled, and we are at the American Coney Island. It was a great experience. Very clean, and it was very busy. We couldn't find a table, so we played slots.

Price is right. Was stuck in a smoking room first night even after I booked non smoking.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. This hotel was extremely dirty, we walked into our room and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several weeks and the floors were covered in dirt and grime. Our room on the 12th floor shook with music so loud the room was vibrating. The hotel switched our rooms and to our surprise this room was just as dirty and the loud vibrating noise was even louder. We ended up leaving after switching to the second room due to the lack of cleanliness, noise and overall hotel vibe/staff.

Stayed downtown with adult children, but spent a lot of our time gambling at the D. Did well there and beautiful clean casino. Haven't eaten or stayed there yet. Also their new Circa hotel is beautiful too.

Really wanted to try this casino since it had a different vibe then the others on Freemont Street. 10 minutes of gambling and a security guard headed down the escalator looks at me while I'm headed up, turns around heads up the escalator to harass me and question me asking me all sorts of questions not pertaining to my experience at their establishment. I asked him if he was profiling me based on obvious discriminatory attributes. He smiled, looked down at the floor then told me I was looking into his "reasoning too deep" If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere or you have traits that may lead to discrimination (white, black, rich, poor, Latino, Chinese, happy etc) then I would suggest going to a more laid back casino. I would recommend one if I thought it would not dilute my review.

The D has a great vibe, good places to eat and lots of tables.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! This place is joke, at first when I got there I thought it was going to be a nice place but boy was I wrong. We had originally reserved for two rooms with king size beds, when we got there they said they had us down for two rooms with two queen size beds. There was no king-size rooms available. So we did not get the rooms we had originally reserved two weeks out. We also found a HUGE BED BUG in our room on the bed which was horrifying. We promptly went down to the front desk and they immediately moved us to a new room, and we were told that we would be reimbursed for our rooms. When we checked out they did not fully compensate us for the rooms, which was to not what they had originally said. Their excuse was they would only compensate for the one room that had bed bugs, not the other even though they were conjoined rooms. Also they said they had a team of inspectors check the room that had the bedbugs, and the front desk staff said that the room came back negative ( not showing any signs of bedbug ) so we had to provide the video and picture of the bug that we had found to prove that there was in fact bugs ewww. Which I have also added below. Overall unfortunately I will never recommend this hotel, the staff was not very helpful and was not accommodating after I had several issues with my room and stay, there should never be a bedbug issue and if there is you should be fully compensated and attended to properly. Also the rooms do not have fridge or microwave and if you want to go to sleep before 1:30am good luck because the Fremont street music is so loud!

Awesome place! Love the up tempo vibe! Spent a hundred on two different slots. First one I won $314! The second I won $542! Walked away with $856! Enough to convince me to stay there, the next time I return to vegas! Thank you guys so much!

We just recently stayed for five nights and loved the hotel and will definitely be going back soon! We dined at all three restaurants and frequent tested the Long Bar many hours everyday! The bartenders were entertaining and super friendly! Our room was clean and modern!

So much smoke. However the caveman show was really great and the whole reason I was there.

There isn't any reason to choose the D over the golden nugget. The management at the D is rude, the cocktail waitresses come by less as often, and the Wi-Fi is less of a hassle to connect to. The D charges their guests to have access to Wi-Fi, similar to Southpoint. I would avoid both because it throws off the vibes of the night sometimes. There isn't much special about the D. They have a guy that calls the guest elevator for you I think they call that a bellhop if I remember correctly it's not that exciting and eventually it gets annoying. The layout of the casino is forgettable if you walk it once you quickly realize there's not much to the place the Dealer's look disinterested but the dancers they have are excellent and they always seemed like they're having a fun time so there's that. Would give them one star but there's just something funny about staying at a hotel called the D it's a running joke that gets good mileage till about the third day there and then it wears off

More fun than the MGM Grand for less money per round

I was more than impressed, with my stay at The D. The hotel is almost too nice, for Vegas, since you spend such little time in the room. The renovations were very well done and it's a great place to stay. The staff was more than helpful and I would gladly stay at The D again. Excellent facility and I was more than pleased with my stay!

Had a blast! The hotel is very nice! Very clean and very fun! At night the hotel comes alive with the best dealers on Fremont Street! My only issue with them as they really don't comp very much. I was having $2000 to $4,000 swings at the High Roller tables and couldn't even get a dinner. Kinda sucked. That being said, great place to stay!

Was just visiting a friend and the Rooms were super nice. Right on freemont, which is perfect.

Stayed here 4 nights and had a great time. Staff was very nice. Rooms were so clean they looked brand new still. Sat at the penny slots and still got free drinks very fast. The horse racing machine is so much fun! Two big exits right onto Fremont. If you stay close enough to the exits or go up to the balcony on Fremont, the bums can't bug you.

The D hotel comps play and has great room rates. I love the casino especially near long bar where the games on where the bar tenders are world class and one step from Fremont street experience ....

Nice hotel..love the elevator system. Rooms are clean and cozy. Would recommend staying on high floor to avoid noise from the street.

Great Hotel if you want the Downtown Experience. Make sure to ask for a higher floor if you are sensitive to noise, Fremont Street can be busy. Recently remodeled and looks good. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Would stay there again.

I love this hotel. The price is great during the weekdays, and even weekends. The location is awesome. To get into the elevators to the rooms, you must have your key. My biggest complaint, the casino is WAY TOO HOT!!! Lord, turn the heat down! That was the biggest reason I did not even bother to gamble here.

Nice! Bathroom had PERFECT lighting for selfies!! YASSSSS but its really good too. Good service! Expensive, but its worth it! We havent figured out if the room cleaner steals your stuff, though..

Hotel was very beautiful and bed was extremely comfortable...perfect location to everything...employees were very polite and courteous.

Decent hotel. Rooms are on the smaller side but it is an old building. Interiors were clean and well maintained. Smells like smoke in the lobby but so does the rest of the strip.

This is in downtown Las Vegas there's ziplining in area near this hotel. In walking distance. Very esthetically pleasing to the eyes.

Small rachet, not at all what the same as I saw on the internet. The rooms look like they belong in an hourly motel, when we first made reservations, the person on the phone failed to mention the D grill was not even open due to Covid-19. Every time we went out in the evening, we had to stand in a long line to get into our room. The customer service was sooo bad, we waited over an hour for drinks while playing the slot machines. Dirty and unimpressive!!! I will NEVER spend another dollar here again

Good off strip hotel. A lot of options in the area. Room could use some standard maintenance as it is showing some age.

My go to place to stay when I visit Las Vegas I go during the work week and get a good deal. nice rooms good price No timeshare sales BS. just a nice place to stay. If they keep things up I'll be coming there for many more years.

It was impossible to find our way out of the casino. Otherwise, I enjoyed my time there.
