I was liking the music at the long bar.

In the middle of all the machines, though, you can't hear yourself think. They have them set VERY LOUDLY, and they interfere with each other and they're really close together. But I had fun in my little corner at the bar, listening to music I don't hear at any other casino. And I like the go go dancers in the pits at night. They are entertaining. Lol. I want to see them all naked!

Anyway, those are basically the two reasons I like the D...the music and the go go dancers. If you've never been there, check it out at least once.

The girl checking us in appeared to be incompetent. Her counterpart working next to her quickly checked in 2-3 guests while we were getting checked in. Depite having booked online we were offered a smoking room and ultimately placed in supposedly the last non smoking room right up against the tunnel outside. It was so loud we left.

The room was just what we needed, a clean room to stay for a great price! No need to pay $300+ a night for a hotel on the strip and pay for amenities you never use. Plus, Fremont has cheaper minimums, normally $5 hands, live music outside and its more fun! If you want to go to the strip its only a 10 min Uber. (About $20) I'm 23 and I had more fun staying downtown than I did on the strip.

First and foremost, if you're staying in the Fremont area, you have to stop by the D and play the horse racing game. Not the dollar game. The actual quarter game. I'm not a gambler at all, but that game is fun and addicting with the right crowd.

If you're staying in the Fremont area, I personally recommend The D.

The hotel has a nice fun atmosphere. Very easy to get to from the airport. They don't offer a shuttle like most hotels, but you can save a lot of money by hopping on the WAX for two bucks and it will take you straight there from the freeway.

I got a deluxe room and it was more spacious than I expected considering that I was staying in Old Vegas. The shower itself was very sexy, and the room was nicely decorated although it only promoted gambling.

I don't remember if the D had a buffet or not. I do know they had a American Dog, McDonald's, and a cafe/small coffee shop. I usually walked to Main Street Station for breakfast. Nice exercise in the sun.

My room was away from Fremont street, WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU PLAN TO BE SLEEPING AFTER 2:00 AM. If your room is facing Fremont street, and you're not enjoying the nightlife, then good luck sleeping.

There are buses that take you to the strip which are both a short walk from the hotel. If you're staying for more than three days, make sure you go to the Bonneville Transit Center and purchase a 15 day pass. Trust me, this is much cheaper than buying multiple 3 day passes.

There's not much as far as clubbing and partying is concerned in The D, but Fremont street itself is a huge party, and if you walk a bit, you'll find a bunch of karaoke bars, lounges, etc where more partying is.

Overall, I would consider staying at The D again if I wanted to stay in Old Vegas. Just stay away from its sister hotel, the Golden Gate.

We stayed here twice and it's a pretty decent hotel. The best thing that we enjoyed about it is that it is right on freemont st. where all the partying and action is. If you've never been to freemont st. you need to go if your in Vegas!!!! I would recommend the D it's pretty decently priced and the staff is nice.

Great clean rooms. We were on 29th floor and music from stage in Fremont Street was still pretty noticeable. Didn't bother us as we don't have issues falling asleep but something to be aware of.

So I've been coming to Vegas on the regular for the past 5 years. The strip gas been my usual go to, but this time it was for vacation not business and I wanted to explore more. Fremont Street was on the bucket list so figured here would be good. Now I'll give a detailed review, but since I write a lot here is a summary:

Pros- price! Bang for buck, free valet, close to tons of food and walgreens, central area, amazing staff, free wifi

Cons- no fridge in room, minor wear and tear on rooms, (not their fault) Fremont Street noise

If you're on a budget and okay being 13 min from strip, stay here!

Plus this is a Dad's wet dream when it comes to Dad puns and jokes....I mean come on....the D

Most affordable out of all Fremont Street when you include free valet, internet, and resort fee was below $25. Rooms were clean and nice. Minor maintenance issues but they were on top of it. All the staff were amazing!!! From check in, to valet (shout out to Chris), to housekeeping. All were very courteous and made us feel at home. Chris (Valet) was amazing and was extremely professional. Remembered me and my family and even when I checked out asked where they were. Mentioned we had more loads and I ran up to the room....without my keys!!!! Chris being awesome grabbed my keys and hung on to them till I returned. Then he continued to offer my son (3 yo) a job to help since he loved hot wheels .

One other great thing is the location. Not just Fremont Street, but at the tail end so you get a ton of food options and Walgreens! The noise is bad though but they can't help it at the hotel, hence still 5 stars. Noise cancelling headphones or a different hotel is suggested if you are a light sleeper. However White Castle, Coney America (great dogs) and McDonald's are all walking distance.

Overall, even if there are minor cons, this will be my new go to for affordable Vegas living. Last year I stayed at an AirBNB and did not feel safe. Should've came here instead! Flamingo was my old choice but their resort fee rose, they don't include wifi, and parking is expensive.

I didn't stay at the D Las Vegas hotel, we just took pictures and went inside. You must go inside each hotel on the trip, because each of them are so different and unique in there own way. So much to see and do in Las Vegas. Just prepare yourself for the heat. It's so hot in Vegas, drink plenty of water while you're visiting. Had a great time.

It's always pleasure to visit this establishment. The bartender's dealers and wait staff are so friendly. And very often at the Long Bar you will even see the owner Derek Stevens chatting with guests and locals. Very friendly atmosphere.

Disappointed. While in Vegas made a point to visit. Wanted to watch Red Wings / Canucks while having dinner. An assumption, I know, but a reasonable one. The grill had KENO only, no game. The bars had the game, but no food!

The show we went to was absolutely wonderful but when we asked a bartender beforehand for a class of tap water he rather rudely told us he would only sell us bottled water. I've already paid you for a show that I am waiting to start and you can't spare a plastic cup of water? 5 star show and 0 star bartenders.

The cocktail waitress are great making sure you don't go thirsty.amd there is always a good crow of people with a upbeat feeling and the newly remodeled rooms are spot on crisp. Plus they will validate your parking at the players club or after hours the front desk. FREE PARKING IS ALWAYS A WINNER ESPECIALLY IN VEGAS,
