The D was a terrible place for the money, and you don't even get what you what you pay for.... You get whole lot of nothing...

Two star hotel service....a generous statement. Two star hotel amenities. Two star customer service.

The pool, total dud. Looked nothing like the pictures and it was at street level which was really awkward and smelled like exhaust. The ventilation inside the hotel is terrrible and my entire wardrobe smelled like an ashtray constantly.

The elevators....oh, where do I even start!??!! Two of the four didn't work. Multiple times...I waited over 20 minutes...count it... 20 minutes of waiting and waiting. And nothing! The second time, I had to get downstairs to meet someone. Well, I proceeded to decend the 10 flights of stairs down, only to find there was no way to exit without tripping the alarm, and ended up having to go through a door which another guest had already activated the emergency exit alarm on, ending me up in the hotel kitchen. So weird. They didn't even tell anyone they were servicing the elevators, they just let you stand. And wait. And wait. And wait.

Even my fiancee thought the gogo dancers were incredibly tacky and cheap looking.... And he's a professional musician, so that says a whole lot.

Overall, just based on their total disregard and lack of respect for their customers and their hotel, I would never stay there again if I went to Fremont area. Not even if it were three times cheaper a night.

So those groupons for 12 dollars a night....yeah, that's for a reason.

Be warned.

So much fen here and the experience of old Las Vegas was really great. There are tons of games here that have a betting range for everyone. The bar is great and the drinks are killer. There is a ton of nostalgia and you HAVE to play the race horse game. It's a ton of fun and I could sit here for hours. Being able to play with quarters also enhances the gaming experience.

The room is simply, but nicely furnished. The bathroom is quite nice. The shower features a tall showerhead. I found the bed to be comfortable. The hotel is located in the middle of the Fremont Street Experience, which is convenient for those who wish to check that out. However, because of the location, we can hear the music playing in the Experience fairly late into the night. We were on the 32nd floor, so the noise wasn't too bad. If you like to go to bed early, this might not be the hotel for you.

Valet parking for hotel guests is free and I recommend you use that, as the self-parking section of The D has a small number of spaces located above the 6th level of the parking garage. When we first arrived, we were unable to find an empty space and had to drive back to the bottom of the garage to have it valet-parked.

If given the opportunity, I'd probably stay here again, and I'd pay the extra to stay on a higher floor.

One star for customer service from the front desk and manager last night. I requested a non smoking room, none were available an hour after making the reservation. The representative who booked the reservation guaranteed they were holding a non smoking room for me. The manager did not care, and did not offer anything in return. You would think that with $200 a night the manager could have at least offered an air freshener or waived any small fee, or even offered a bottle of water. You're in customer service, if you can't be bothered to at least sound a little bit sincere when talking to customers then you shouldn't be a Manger who deals with customers. Overall the room was Ok, bed was Ok not great, it's a great location, the bell hop and the valet were great.

Free valet. "Marriage can be murder" dinner show is very interactive and entertaining. New murder mystery every couple of months. Actors posing as show guests stand in line with you. Many other guests in attendance thought my wife was one of the "killers" in this fascinating plot.

The D was all I thought it would be for a first time trip to Vegas. Food in the 1st floor restaurant was delicious and reasonable each day. The 2nd floor Andiamo fine dining restaurant was a 1 star experience. The waiter was well versed and most enjoyable. Thank you Miguel! All the pasta dishes were not well received at the above average price. Pasta was overcooked and gooey. I would not visit there again for a fine dining experience. Sorry.

Pretty cool spot. I like the table top dancers and the 2nd floor old school machines and the horse racing. And I appreciate that some of the machines have a USB connection to charge your phone if you have to. Employees aren't very friendly though but at least not rude.

My family stayed at the D hotel and found it to be very nice. Their rooms are clean, well decorated, comfortable and very reasonably priced. We loved the hotel and would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in staying downtown.

It was poor because nothing is what it appears to be. The room was nice, but VERY far away from the action. You were overcharged and lied to from the time you check in, until the time you leave. *PLEASE... Do Not tip anyone for anything if you stay here... The front desk will out right lie to you to your face!!! I usually stay on the strip; Cesar's or the Pallazzo and etc... Where you get the truth, and more bang for your buck.
Bad experience there... Never again... EVER!!!

We stayed here while getting married. Absolutely no complaints about the room. Very well renovated, and modern. Customer service was way above par. Helped us out with any minute issue immediately! The casino floor was clean, modern, and inviting. The dining areas were reasonable in quality for the price.

They checked me into a room that was already occupied!!! Had to gack to check-in, they gave me another room where the shower had the last guests soap left in it!!! DO NOT GET A ROOM FACING FREMONT!!! The noise is crazy until after 1 am. The Longbar customer service was horrible. Waited 10 minutes for a bartender to ask if I wanted anything. The Grill on the second floor microwaves their food - I had a philly cheesesteak sandwich - meat was clumped together!! Advertised as rib-eye steak! I will never go back!!!

Very attentive staff, loved the fact that there was music! Loud music! Spouse and I were gambling and jamming out, just visiting, when an employee came and asked if we had player cards, we didn't so she signed us up! It was so simple and it was the first hotel that I've seen ever do that. We appreciated that a lot. Hotel was upkept. Definitely thinking about staying in the future.

The rooms were nice but the shower had no door. It makes for a real mess. Any where you go in the hotel it smelled of smoke. Walked into other hotels and did not smell it. There needs to be a meeting place or a real lobby with space and seats to meet up with people. You walk in a boom slot machines then around the corner a long area to check in. There was a lady smoking in the elevator and was rude when we mentioned it to her. On check in I was not asked if I wanted a quiet room others in my group were. We ended up on the noisy side. Thank God we were so tired we fell right to sleep. We had a good time.

It s a pretty standard hotel. Nothing fancy, not like anything on the strip. But that s fine. Rooms are clean, staff is nice. Most of the dealers are great too, Rosie especially is very funny and welcoming, I don t play a lot of table games but she made it a really pleasant experience.

Screwed us out of reservations. Made our vacation difficult and cost us an extra couple hundred because of it. Stayed here last year and told everyone how great it was. Never again.

Front desk employees will tell you things that are untrue and very rude about the situation that THEY messed up. Extremely disapointed.

Clean rooms, fun party vibe.... everyone is super nice and helpful. The Fremont Street experience is literally right outside the door. Plenty of cheap places to eat and drink, it's also just a block away from the deuce.

We go to Vegas every year so I know a thing or 2 about Vegas hotels. For sure one of our favs. It is not only affordable but it is a great place to stay. Our beds were very comfortable- tons of things to do on site- and we loved the casino itself. Very upbeat and fun. If you are staying downtown the D is a great place to stay. Valet parking is a breeze, and you are close to everything. Highly recommend staying here!!!
