Great place to buy some art and souvenirs.

Great place to buy some art and souvenirs.

The building is shaped as a shield and sword in its design to symbolise the heritage of the Masai people.

Most of the art is individually made from one single ebony wood tree which adds to the immense detail and effort they consist of.

There are some statues outside the building allowing photos to be taken.

You may also enjoy a refreshing beverage at the cafe. Ask for a mango and banana shake, it was amazing!

Awesome place to soak in some art. The building itself is a work of art. You can have a bite to eat. Awesome! I wish they would one day give out a tanzanite ring for being so in love with the whole place

If you want to buy souvenirs and are afraid of being slaughtered, this is a place where you can rest assured that the prices are tax-free and you do n t have to mark the price. The museum next to you can spend some time walking and the building structure is very beautiful

This is a really nice cultural place to visit. It gets so overwhelming as there's so much to read and see. The curio shops are quite expensive though and everything is in dollars. Beats logic if you ask me since locals rarely have dollars with them.

The CHC is a very nice place to see a lot of arts of various forms from different African tribes and modern artists. Though there are different entities on the site, the main building is mostly a huge gallery (over 5 floors) while the other buildings are mainly stores for African-style modern art pieces and special souvenirs. It's a great place to visit and see African art, you can easily spend some hours browsing paintings, statues furniture and more - only you won't get a lot of information on African history and heritage like you might expect it from the name. Nevertheless, one of the go-to places in Arusha - go and explore yourself.

The Cultural Heritage Center is hard to describe adequately in words. Its a stunning collection of ancient artifacts, artwork, carvings, and statues. Its all beautifully displayed and an amazing respite. Stop at Olive Fig Bistro on the Patio! I recommend a Hazelnut Cappacino, Brushetta and the Chicken Alfredo with Mushrooms. Locals get your Bistro discount card!
