The wait was over an hour an a half which was understandable due to COVID and all the rules. But anyway we ordered and it took out food way too quickly to come out for seafood and there being 10 people. The price for the amount of food was crazy. Over $26 each plate. So much for nothing however. All the food came out cold, and almost as it it was sitting out all day. My mom god lobster bisque and it was oily, cold and smelled of beer. On top of it all the servers weren t attentive or even caring about our tables. Also, not just that but the food came up right away from each of my family members that ate there lobster. They barley even ate 1/4 of there meal so we know it wasn t food poisoning. It s crazy because we told the manager and she got disrespectful and loud with me my mom and my papa. She tried to say my siblings were faking it and yelled at us to get out. I would NEVER EVER go back and I would NEVER recommend anyone else going. My little sister even felt that it was a race thing due to all going on. She also called the cops claiming that my siblings were making a scene in front of the restaurant. The cops showed up 6 suv s all at once and with there hands on there weapons. They said they got a call the boys were fighting and causing issues. THEY WERE THROWING UP!!!!! Never going again....

Yummm

$39 for entree and had to pay extra 2.99 for a salad! Come on man really why so cheap! Food has gone down hill last couple of years needless to say I will not return. Wharfside in Point way better, had been going to CC for years but quality of food has declined. Keep ur locals

Where to start: Let me just say this is during the Covid 19 pandemic so I am being very lenient.
The first day restaurants were allowed to seat anyone inside, I visited a familiar place to me with high quality of food, and very fancy. I spent just about the same amount of money, and ordered just about the same food. With that being said, the quality at this first restaurant was amazing, taste, quality, temperature, and all silverware without even asking. Now i will compare this with Crabs Claw Inn which I was in love with until now.

The standard of quality was not at all up to par. I have been to this establishment for years. It held a special place in my heart. For the cost of the meals I would have expected just the same if not more compared to the above restaurant.

Food:
My Filet Mignon was the smallest piece of meat I've ever seen. 4 pieces, over cooked (not like requested), and was dried out with no taste. My potatoes had no taste and were in this oil/grease on the plate. My extra ordered up charge of lobster tail was over cooked, burnt, and rubbery tasting. Never have i ever tasted something so horrid, and I've eaten bad seafood (not on purpose) that tasted better than this lobster tail. I also had burnt cooked shrimp. I guess for my meal the best part was the cheap dinner rolls that were fresh. No other bread and quality. For the other two meals depicted you could even see the chicken fingers were over cooked and burnt. The buffalo calamari had no breading, no taste, very rubbery, and oil/grease dripping all around it.

Covid 19 precautions.
I get it. But still for the price of the meal, paper plates, plastic fork, knife, and spoon, inside with 1 napkin. The drinks were inside plastic cups, and the soup in a plastic bowl. Lower the price if your going to serve the lower quality food.

Waiter:
Everything we requested came very quickly. When he asked how the meals went, and I responded, "terrible", he just smiled, said ok, and walked away.

Overall experience. Terrible. Will not go back.

I travel for business a lot and at times find it difficult to find a good not chain place to eat. I got the grouper and oh my, blackened, it was so good! This is far enough away from the boardwalk that it's a nice sit down place. I'll come back of I'm out here again.

The best seafood restaurant in the Lavalette/Seaside area. (Although I wouldn't recommend their softshell crab) Especially crowded during summer months so expect to wait. Daily blackboard specials and live entertainment on weekends. Karaoke Wednesday nights.

Giving it two stars because the bar/drinks and entertainment are good, but the food is genuinely awful. I'm hardly a foodie, I enjoy take out Chinese and the occasional fast food, but I'm nearly positive most of the stuff they serve at the Claw is pre-made frozen food from a factory (ala Sysco or the like) and things like soup out of a can which is inexcusable for the prices they charge. Go for the drinks and entertainment, but eat elsewhere.

Food was ok. Unfortunately the flounder with stuffed crab meat didn't come with asparagus and lobster sauce and by the time they brought it out it was not worth it. I wouldn't mind the prices if the service was on point. Not sure I'd go back for an actual sit down, maybe food at the bar.

place has been phoning it in for decades since it's got the only liquor license in Lavallette. hit or miss food. mediocre service. save a few bucks and bring a bottle with you to Lenny's across the e street. much better food. consistently good service.

This place has a big open bar, friendly staff, food was good, not great just good! Price is a bit higher for what you get. I had crab cakes, they advertised jumbo lump, however it is not, mash potatoes were a little cold and asparagus were definitely over cook. For this reason food is just food not great.

Disgusting me and my family ordered two steak dinners. This is where it starts. The food was ice cold and pink inside when we said medium well, and believe me it was raw. Then we sent it back to get it cooked more not only to find it pink but to find a huge wod of spit melted into the steak. After that experience I will never go back there. Me and my family stormed out of the Crabs Claw Inn and did not pay a dime. We did not sew them because we didn't even pay for the meal so that's why. I would not go to this restaurant it is not kid friendly and the appetizers were horrible never mind the main course

What a great time! Lunch "al fresco"! Beer batter fish and chips, fried shrimp and fried clams, is what our party had for lunch. It could not have been better! The great thing is that the Crabs Claw is open all year round. Inside has a great local feel, outside during the beach season really lets you feel right at home, a block off the beach. A hit with both locals and visitors, come and enjoy a great time in this reasonably priced restaurant, where you will feel right at home!

There was no room outside and they would not honor happy hour in side. Was told I can stand outside and eat if I want hh price. We are in our 60s and 70s standing and eating lunch is ridiculous. Very nice server. They lost me as a customer. I guess they don't need the money. Maybe will it was closed they should have updated. The ceiling it falling down and those rugs are disgusting.

Fun place to drink but there are no gluten free items on the menu and they refuse to even consider making anything gluten free. The server asked and the response was "have a steak." There was a lot on the menu that could easily be gluten free without any special cooking but they couldn't be bothered considering it.

Classic summer vacation seafood trap. Overpriced, overpacked with painfully ordinary food. The whole area has come up in recent years and Crab's Claw is a candidate for Gordon Ramsay to renovate.
