A large bar/restaurant serving good food. There is a large patio area overlooking the river, bridge and the Railway Station for the Llangollen Preserved Steam Railway. The meal we had was delicious and the portions large. The service was very efficient and friendly but not intrusive. Well worth a visit.

What an amazing view from your table of the river waters flowing in so many different directions. It is a visual feast. The food is equally good quality. Myself and my travelling companion had a sumptuous roast beef dinner, with all the More

Silly me. Tried to book a table late Saturday morning for Saturday evening. Must be popular as it was either eat dinner late afternoon or wait until late evening. Went for the latter and it was still very busy. Waitress was young and bubbly and nothing was too much trouble. If we visit this way again will definitely return.

Fantastic building. Really lovely original features of the mill sat on a beautiful viewing spot of the river. Great real ale selection and delicious food. Some of the best prawns I've had. Friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit for drinks or food and a great view. A must if you are passing through or making a special trip. Can't wait to visit again.

1.45 hours after we made our order they found out (after we asked) the order wasn't actually placed. Our 5 year old son was starving! We noticed there were some other cockups of food coming and going. Beer (the only thing we had) at London's prices and New Zealand Lamb. You come to the heart of Wales to eat over priced New Zealand lamb!

Lovely place. All staff were brill and couldn't fault them. However, disappointed with food. Basics like chips were greasy, gravy too salty. Expected better for price. Might just head to cafe next time.

We had a really great meal here. Excellent service - friendly & efficient. Excellent quality of food - imaginative, well cooked, good balance of flavours & good presentation without being pretentious. Good value for money. It was obviously a thriving pub downstairs, and they had many other areas in this creatively restored mill, where one could have a quieter dining experience. Thoroughly recommend this gem of a find in the centre of town! We were moored in Llangollen overnight on the canal, so it was a very pleasant easy walk from the boat.

Brilliant gastro pub in a historic character building on the banks of the River Dee with outstanding views of the AONB. Three floors and a riverside decking where you can enjoy a lovely meal and drink with your family/friends.

Good

Fantastically perfect 80th Birthday for my nan yesterday. The food was perfect as usual, just the right amount of adventurousness - but without getting fussy. Was most impressed by the waitress with long black curly hair. Nothing was too much trouble, even splitting the bill 9 ways, which as a waiter myself I know all too well as being a pain. Thanks so much and rest assured we will all be back time and time again.

This is our 2nd visit to Llangollen and The Corn Mill, from our home in SouthWest Scotland. A warm welcome awaits you as soon as you walk through it's door. The varied menu has everything on offer to suit anyone's tastesbuds at a price to suit.
A Big Thank You goes to Dan, (behind the Bar) for allowing us to charge up our Mobile Phone.
Would highly recommend this establishment.

We attended The Corn Mill as part of my Dads 80th Birthday celebration. Eight people in total.

The staff were pleasant and attentive. All of the meals arrived at the same time so no-one was left watching others tucking into their food.

The dishes were piping hot and the portions on the large side.

As others have mentioned, the views over the Dee are superb and the premises is decorated with pictures and maps that complement the history of the building.

We had brought our own Birthday cake for my Dad, which was brought our by the staff, hopefully we didn't disturb the other diners too much with our rendition of Happy Birthday.

All in all an excellent experience and many thanks to the staff in making it a memorable occasion for my Dad.

Have been many times before and have enjoyed the night, however, tonight food brilliant, service appalling . We waited at least 20 minutes for someone to take our order and then having just ordered dessert, we were told someone was waiting for our table. Then half way through desert, we were told, as you were the people who wanted your table have gone somewhere else. Sorry night ruined, very disappointed.

Lovely building in a great location, overlooking the river near the bridge. Had a coffee, which was fine, not too special. Nice atmosphere, busy but not packed. Friendly staff, very professional.

We booked a table for six people at 7pm we were seated straight away and we orderd food at 7.30 the starters came virtually straight away however there was an hour gap before the mains came .The beer was exellent though . The fish was warm and the chips red hot .Also there was hair in one of the desserts which was a real shame . Next time i visit i think it will be just for drinks

Stunning location on the River Dee and building also amazing!.... sadly that's it. I've been a few times purely due to the location, and the hope that it would be better than the last time I went. Not the case sadly. The food continues to be not good and is well over priced. The menu is disjointed and the serving staff remain generally a bit grumpy and customers are not appreciated. Pint of lager was both flat and not a full pint. Big shame. The location sells this place and nothing else.
