Today I had the Cobb salad for lunch. Quite good. Shrimp, bacon, chicken, loads of differing veggies, and light dressing. Usually, Cobb's have too much lettuce. Here, they might want to add a little more! I know, weirdly refreshing.

On the whole, the club has been great, so far. I haven't ventured beyond the first floor, so I cannot speak to anything other than the lobby and the first floor restaurant.

The lobby is smaller than Harvard, Penn, University, NY Yacht, Racket, and any of the other big social clubs in NYC. It is more in line with the Friar's club,

Still, it is well appointed, has a decent cup of coffee, and has attendant's cleaning up on a constant basis. No phone calls or business meetings makes it reasonably relaxing.

The first floor restaurant is larger and I have never failed to get a table. The menu at lunch, only meal I've taken, is standard American fare. Hamburgers, salads, sandwiches are the staple, though they may have other main courses.

Pricing is about what one would expect from a mid- town lunch- ours was about $50 for two. That excludes wine and desserts, though it does include tax and the included service charge. Service was good, but not overbearing.

I travel to NYC three or four times per year (more if only going for the day.) Great location, super clean rooms, and great staff. I am a member of an affiliate school and feel very fortunate to have this opportunity. If you are an alum from Brown, Colgate, Duke, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Stanford, Tulane, and Wake Forest (and of course Cornell), you must check this out! It truly is my NYC pied-a-terre.

Today my business partner and I came into Cayuga room. My partner just landed at the JFK. Due to some reason he did not wear business casual. However, this is amazingly ridiculous. The waiter at the Cayuga room rudely said you should not wear this in a very unbelievable way. I can not imagine in Cornell club there is racist existing! My business partner was really angry and this is the first time he has been treated like this in a club. Although something is happening, everything should be peacefully communicated. The way he has been treated is really unacceptable. Asian is minor here but can not be treated like this here!

I ve been to Cornell Club more than 20 times so far, it s one of my favorite places to eat when I m in the city. The Moroccan salmon is juicy, tasty and absolutely amazing, you should try. I wish I could cook that myself. I also like the country feeling and decorations and it s not too pricey, giving that everything is super expensive in NYC. I m super pleased with the service too, the waiter Saresh and the bartender are super friendly, polite and attentive.

Classy and well-maintained, yet inviting and unpretentious. Tea and coffee service is available in the lobby space. Do note that the Club is very strict about not offering outside food and beverage items in the lobby - if you bring in a paper Starbucks cup, a staff member will discreetly come up to you and insist on pouring your beverage into a club mug for you. The food at the Big Red Tap & Grill is surprisingly good - the grilled salmon and fish n' chips are both solid choices.

Nice facility overall smaller than Yale or Harvard but reception rooms and a grill area. The food offerings are delicious. I loved all the old wood throughout the building. Great atmosphere makes you want to find an overstuffed chair and have a cocktail or glass of fine wine

Comfortable rooms with great ascetics and attention to detail: Kuerig in the room, Aveda products, extremely comfy beds, and handsome room and bathroom. Very accommodating and pleasant staff, willing and eager to assist you whenever you need it. Exceedingly great value for the cost.

Ahh the memories of this beautiful historic spot. As an alumni and former member of the club prior to moving from the city, it was a great place to meet and grab a bit. The food is great, the rooms when i travel back are great. Nothing more to add. Staff and everyone is always welcoming, and great place to connect with us ole big red folk.

Storied place held beloved by generations of Cornell alumni. Great place for business meetings, strategically located close to Grand Central terminal. Internet is spotty, like at the Ithaca campus . Food is ok but unfortunately you can't bring food from outside.

I went here with friend who is in his late seveties, he has been going there since this place started. The staff were very nice to us. I loved the entire experience. I would definitely go back there.
Although they discourage people working in the didning area. I really like this place. Well maintained, good food, prices are not that high.
Give it a try if you are around :)

The Cornell Club of New York is the best club in N...

The Cornell Club of New York is the best club in New York City with an outstanding location just a few blocks from Grand Central Station. It's an easy commute for members and guests. The best food for the price is subsidized by Cornell University and the staff is from the Cornell Hotel School the best in the country offering impeccable service with a smile making members and guests feel at home. The guest rooms are beautifully decorated large rooms with the most up to date electronics at the most reasonable prices in New Yotk City. Guest suites with 500 square feet are not uncommon. Breakfast is included. The dress code is casual in all rooms except for the Cayuga room where jacket without a tie is required. The food is deliciously prepared with an excellent wine list and the service is perfect. A beautiful historic building in a convenient midtown location you'll absolutely love it it's amazing :) I'm a member who loves the Cornell Club.
