Our chorus planned a picnic outdoors, and it rained... including horrific winds, the tail end of a hurricane... the management moved us inside for no extra charge! How nice was that? Then we went to pay the $100 fee and they refused to take it! So our picnic was free! That's great service! I've also attended a funeral luncheon and a Sunday night dance party, I have to say it's a beautiful place! Food is very good too!

This is the worst golf course in USA. We waited more than 30 minutes because of lack of golf carts. We lost more than 4 times because of no signs for the halls. No water coolers at the golf courses. There were vending machines for water. We tried three vending machines for water, Just stealing our monies.

For the price, you can't beat this golf course. I've played many courses especially in South Jersey and north of Quakertown. This course is great, plus it's 36 holes makes like you're going to 2 different courses in the same place.

Beautiful course in excellent condition. Greens held well and good speed. Fairways and tee boxes also in great shape. Tip: Keep it in the fairway as woods and thick growth along sides will eat balls.

I've been here for several different occasions and each time was great. Even if something needed to be changed or adjusted with our food, the staff was more than accommodating. They do have a limited selection for breakfast but their weekly specials are completely out of the norm and always interesting. I would recommend coming here.

what a Great Golf course! my first time playing golf outside montgomery Pa. if you like to get the ball airbourne this is the place for you. well manicured fairways and greens , beautiful view and really nice staff who are friendly to boot. So take the day off and grab some friends and have fun. P.S. if your a golf snob and like to whine about everything don't GO!!! stay home and let the others have a great time

The best golf course in NEPA! I have played here quite a few times in the past 10 years and it is always enjoyable to play and for a reasonable price. Well-maintained course, staff is very friendly, and both 18 hole courses are a lot of fun.

Length is not always rewarded, but straightness is. Be prepared for an unlucky bounce here and there (sometimes you hit a great drive that runs out into the rough or runs all the way out of bounds), but it is expected since you are on the side of a mountain. May be a difficult course for some beginners because of narrow fairways and some elevation changes. Very good views on Mountain #12 and #18.

My only critique is regarding the bunkers. They are always pretty solid/compact and have small stones in them. Would be nice if the maintenance staff would rake them once in awhile. Would make the course that much better!

There are two courses here - the mountain course and the valley course. Played the mountain course and it was really nice. Most fairways are tree-lined and tight. Large undulating greens are fair but challenging. Gorgeous setting!

A challenging golf experience, located in great PA scenery, run by great people. I've not lived in area since 1995 and lived West coast to Midwest and played many courses over years; but still even now living in NoVA/DC area, every time I'm home I try to play every chance I get -- don't miss it!

The one tee that had grass was crabgrass. Probably the poorest maintained course I have ever played on. All 36 greens were topdressed, bumpy and extremely slow/. The layout is interesting but no one in our outing liked the course. I cannot recommend. I cannot understand recent positive reviews

I have been playing Mountain Valley since it opened many years ago. It has always been my favorite course by far. Although I don't live in the area any longer, I try to play it every time I visit. The original 18 was a great layout, and the "new" holes were a great addition. Both courses are superb - challenging and spectacular. There's not a bad hole on the course. The staff is friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work, Mountain Valley!

We got there in the middle of November and we're surprised of how good of shape it was in they only issue was the greens were covered in sand which made it hard to putt until they dried up but the fairways were grown in nicely and the staff was great

Considering the wet weather they have been here the course was in excellent condition. Greens were smooth and fast, fairways we're good but too bad we had to play in the foggiest conditions I've ever played in.

We played both courses yesterday. Both were very well maintained, beautiful and alot of fun. Fairways are a little tight on some holes, so if you've just started playing or have a bad slice bring extra balls! lol. The greens were all in great shape, excellent pin locations to challenge players on the approach shot. Received great and polite service from every employee we came in contact with and the burgers we had for lunch were simply deliciously cooked to order! It was a long day playing both courses, however, it was well worth the hour drive from Harrisburg and we will be back again! 5 stars!

I've played here for years but haven't been back for over 3 years since we moved. Some of the greens were in bad shape and the ones that weren't were very slow. Rough was very deep which slows play a lot and is horrible for general play. Some of the back tees weren't mowed in a year or more, covered in weeds and moss. I was disappointed to say the least. Was a good course but not much anymore.

Had a great time there with my GF! Very scenic course. Came from jersey so we took an afternoon tee time yesterday and the course was wide open on the front 9. The back 9 we got stuck behind a foursome that couldn't hit the ball PERIOD and wouldn't let us play thru.. the front took 1.5 - 2 hours and the back took 3.5 hours. A ranger would have been nice. Also thought it was weird that they didnt ask that you come back by a certain time. That course could be dangerous driving around at night
