Easily one of my favourite places in downtown. The comic and geek paraphernalia selection is simply unrivaled in Ottawa, especially downtown.

Went here for Free Comic Book day and was very impressed walking through the store for the first time. They have a large selection of comics, and collectibles. Will be making frequent visits in the future.

2019 update: No support for modern magic. Staff refuse to promote the event and, instead, rely on customers to do this, which is lazy. I complained, and got an excuse about privacy... tons of companies market their events, this is a not a hard thing to do in 2019 and comes across as lazy and unprofessional. Don't bother to visit unless you need a board game. No event support. Go to Carta Magica or Wizard's Tower instead.

The place looks good, lots of things you couldn't find anywhere else in Ottawa. I don't know much about comics, though they seem to have an outstanding collection.

Mtg single prices have started to become more fair. FRIENDLY FIVE STAR STAFF. Love the manga selection. I wish downstairs would be cleaned up a little. Something more modern. Just a personal preference!

Some things are a bit overpriced but I still find it has a lot of the better prices in comic shops yet.

High quality original figurines for allll ages!! My 9yrs old son found Cyborg of Teen Titans at a pretty affordable price at the store.

movie related merchandise, among other things. I find they don't always carry every new issue or release for a series. It seems more focus is put on what is considered "popular". Good selection of board games, graphic novels, and back-issue comics. I find not many sales happen at this location either. Still a prime comic/manga/anime retailer.

The only real problem I had with the store is the filing of graphic novels. Love that they aren t grouped by publisher, but the column-based alphabetization is somewhat counterintuitive. Otherwise, it s focus is on books instead of collectibles, great selection of reading materials, friendly and helpful staff, and plenty of space to move.

Great staff. They are welcoming and helpful. They have costumes, wigs, hats, packbacks, pillows, figurines, comics, clothes, etc.

Meh, since its going out of business the selection isnt great however even before they were losing business and money the service and inside workings were less then adequate. Besides the owner not paying taxes and blaming the stores demise on the customers, ive heard from multiple sources that theyd weigh the MTG cards and put certain decks aside that had better cards for themselves or favored customers. In all, sketchy business but with good intentions from the staff but management and ownership really dropped the ball.

Does it have everything? No.
Does any store have everything you could desire? No.
Does anyone, who isn't a sociopath, expect every store to have everything they desire? No.

What makes this store notable is the little surprises you can find. They may not have the specific graphic novel volume you want, but that book over there looks neat, and, suddenly, you have a new series/writer/artist/creator to get into.

A politically conscious comic book store. The selection isn't wide, but it was organized in an interesting manner and they had a really nice section dedicated to vintage comics, many of which were affordable.

Amazing staff! Very accommodating, inviting and polite. The place is well planned and we'll organized with a wide assortment of all items comic related. You never know what you'll find in this store. It of course is a comic book shop first and it doesn't lose focus. Great place to go if you're on bank st.

Such a fun store for anyone into comics, anime etc. This store is great for all ages. The prices might be high but the items are very unique. Parking is strictly street parking.

This store has a little bit of everything. Comics, board games, toys, etc. so for one-stop-shopping this is the place to go.

The prices are okay, but unless you go to the discount bin, nothing is amazingly priced. The staff are nice, but do not go out of their way to check-in with you, they mostly stay behind the counter and wait for you to ask them a question (whenever I go it always seems like they are frantically working on something back there and make you feel like it is an imposition to be asking them for help). Their indie comics section is bigger than it ever has been (at one point they didn't have one at all) but not robust.

They are continually expanding their boardgame area which I love. They also have lots of collectables and comics/graphic novels. Amazing selection and at good prices

Popped into this awesome shop while visiting Ottawa for the week. Amazing selection for all tastes. I particularly love the MTG selection and being able to browse through the collections without someone breathing down my neck. Staff are super helpful! Will absolutely return on future trips

Really cool place has a lot of cool figurines. Just went in to check it out but they have quite a large variety of comics and some pretty cool card/board games. They also had some magic the gathering stuff so that's a nice addition. They seem to have events there during the week which seems really cool! Definitely worth checking out.

Disapointed. Some selection of vintage 80-90's books, however are priced above guide prices for low to mid grade books with bent corners and creased spines. Unwilling to negotiate prices. Lost my business for eternity.

Best place to satisfy all your DND and comic book needs.

I was at the store for 30 minutes and none of the floor people ask me if I needed help.

Great stuff for all ages from kids to collectors. Great customer service. Was fun to just walk around.

Cute shop with a variety of comics and fan merch. Only issue is that everything is plastic wrapped so you can't browse comics to see if you like the art style inside.

Poor selection and unhelpful staff. Lack of any indexing system for Magic cards, and staff that are too busy going on Facebook to help you with your purchase.

Love going to yhe comic book shoppe. I have been going since 2002 when I first came to Ottawa. Love the staff. They are very friendly and its like a second home every one knows my name. Love it.

Great place. People know their comic books there. They will even let you know about comics you might like and order ones in that you want, if they don't have them.

I love this place. I was a little nervous buying my first comics, but last year on Halloween the owner was in and he was super helpful! The staff is often very helpful and always willing to order and issue in if they don't have it on hand. They are attentive to their clientele and even get to know you by name which is cool. It's always nice to see familiar faces, along with the owner from time-to-time.
