Poor service all round.
Leased a car from this company as was told that they are good and read good reviews online.
Sign up was easy and efficient. The problems started when I wanted to take delivery of the car.
The car they had signed me up for, a Kia Rio, was out of stock so they gave me another vehicle. However within a day, they then wanted to change this back to the Kia Rio as this was now magically available, 2 hour later.
I had to wait for the collections driver, for over an hour after the time I was told they would come to collect and exchange the vehicles.
When I took delivery of the Rio, the milage exceeded over 100k kilometres and smelt like cigarette smoke. However, I decided to make the best of it, had the car cleaned and bought an air freshener.
Overall, despite it's scuff marks and scrapes the car was in good running order.
After this, payments started to be collected from my bank, every month. However, I was never sent an invoice and had to ask for these repeatedly.
As lockdown started, I asked if it was possible to put the contract on hold, as I would not be using the car for work or to go anywhere. I was told in no uncertain terms, that this was not possible and that the car rental company was undergoing a troublesome time. They did however offer a 10% discount on my monthly rental.
I empathised with the person I spoke to but after just an overall unimpressed customer service experience so far, decided to look at other car rental options.
The final insult came, when after driving the car during a hot day, the airconditioning stopped working. I asked the contact at fast cars for help with this and was again given a number to dial, which noone answers.
Having a car without aircon in this temperature, just isn't an option.
After all this, I arranged for the car to be collected and have now leased elsewhere.
I have contacted this company repeatedly by phone and e-mail to find out, when my deposit will be returend. I have not had a single reply.
2** for the quick and efficient service at the start, however the customer service at this company is absolutely awful.
