Beautiful hotel with exemplary service. The staff in this hotel are magnificent. We only stopped for lunch following a show-round. The food was utterly magnificent and the teams looking after the diners were simply the best we've encountered. Worth every penny and a MUST visit hotel.

I was a previous employee of The Ritz in London. Which claims to have high standards.
Yet at the Grover Hotel, our few days, I was amazed at the polite and courteous manner of Doorman, Check in Receptionist, Waiters and Waitress, Receptionist in dining area, Salon staff, Maids whom kept our room and Public toilets extremely clean, far exceeded The Ritz in London. All continued to wait upon clients, day after day. Keep up the good work! Many Thanks
My daughter booked the spa experience for my 60th birthday. The treatments were very good however the facilities need up dating poor hygiene the steam room didn t work as the lights in the aroma showers kept tripping the electrics. Unfortunately I ve had much better and for a lot less money really disappointed for my daughter
Dissapointed me and my partner stayed for 2 nights.our room wasnt cleaned there where dirty towels left on the floor from fri and they where still there sat night when we arrived back to our room.then on check out i was charged 20 pound for parking when it clearly states on your website free parking.the hotel was lovely and staff was pleasant .but to say its a 5star hotel and it was a special occasion i was left rather robbed considering the amount u pay to stay here ive had no problems like this in other 5star hotels ive stayed at .
Outstanding service. Perfect city centre location. Great dining. Comfortable and spacious room. A smaller sized TV than would be ideal for the room size and fewer channels than average, but this is nitpicking on what is a superb hotel.
The Brasserie Restaurant. High quality food in a civilized and hassle free environment. Highly recommended.

Called in to brassiere for a drink on Valentine s Day about 7pm. Ordered a Monkey Gin and tonic. I was so disappointed when it came in a tumbler type glass no thought what so ever. I complained about the glass. Poor girl not her fault. She brought it back in a red wine glass. Improvement, but not good enough. Surely a hotel with your reputation should have proper gin glasses. I live just outside Chester. Often come to Grosvenor for coffee. First Gin & Tonic. Otherwise lovely evening. Very entertaining female vocalist. But you do need to change your gin glasses. Appearances are very important.
This place speaks for itself and so I didn't think I'd of needed to leave a review, however after speaking to the wonderful staff, they informed me that people actually leave poor reviews! Unbelievable as this is top quality, service, location and general upkeep of such a beautiful hotel.
Not the largest and most luxurious place I've stayed in, but we're talking about Chester and every square footage is precious, heritage land. Fabulous stay, the service we got was amazing attention to detail.

This is a 5 star hotel the food is excellent several restaurants to eat here also leisure center in the heart of chester city center near to famous eastgate clock and city walls very historic places great walk local tour guides there is valet parking here which allows you to drive to front of hotel in parking bay where your car will be parked for you great place for afternoon tea
Beautiful room and overall, excellent service. However, at breakfast, although the food was perfect , the service wasn't !
Really wonderful. We had a great couple of nights, wonderful continental breakfast, super afternoon tea, parking is right outside or valet, rooms are well appointed and ours was silent and dark with a great bed so great for sleeping. Brilliant shower and bath, can't fault anything.
Sadly , the special ambience has gone with its new refurbishment. How trading in beautiful mahogany for a blue small plastic reception is baffling. The lighting now looks cheap. The seating looks plasticky . The service lacking (,had to order tea twice as it never arrived and had to 'ask for ' their complimentary nibbles with my wine ) The larger cocktail bar is better but could have been achieved without taking the charm of the rest of the room away. Oh and they have whitewashed the besutifully painted grape ceiling. Not impressed. Couples meal next to me looked unimpressive. Doesnt have the 5 star feel any more.
Had a very good experience here again. We went for Afternoon Tea, the staff were friendly, helpful, polite and excellent. Always checking that we had everything we needed, i.e. hot water, sandwiches and enough of everything. Dealt well with dietary needs, vegetarian and fussy eaters. Well done to all.

Attended the hotel for a wedding fair (advertising the Chester Wedding Singer) with my partner, and we were both very impressed with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and professional and even though we were not guest, made us feel very welcome.
Spa treatments well worth the money the actual steam room needs a bit of an update..wear and tear and have to stand to get full benefit of steam..
I've been wanting to have elevenses hear for as long as I can remember, however on a Monday they dont do it, so we went to the restaurant instead and ordered from the alacarte menu, fantastic value for the effort that goes into the food. If I'm being honest tho I left a little disappointed and thought it was average. The hotel is really posh and lovely and that I think Carrie's the rather average restaurant, coffee is awful, and its just tap water in the posh bottles, its value for money, but we wanted the experience you expect from an ala Carte menu.
Took my mother here for afternoon Tea as part of her 60th Birthday. Staff are excellent and the service was brilliant. Would recommend as treat for someone.
Usually love the Brasserie at the Grosvenor. The bar has a wide selection of delicious cocktails, the decor is tasteful and the atmosphere very high class and enjoyable. However, it was clear that this time of year has the "come down" after the Christmas holidays. Service was polite, but slow and our order of food was forgotten. That said, the light bites were delicious, as always, and the drinks were prepared fresh in front of us and were most refreshing. To summarise, this visit had abnormally poor service, but I will not let this one experience put me off returning again in the future. I give the post-Christmas serving staff the benefit of the doubt!
Super comfortable bed...very pleasant stay, english breakfast a bit pricey but very nice. Overall would recommend a stay.
Good service obviously, beautiful room even though the view wasn't all that, room service excellent and the Simon Radley food outstanding....and he was kind enough to give us a guided tour of his kitchen....been back a few times and it never disappoints
We went for a short break. Comfortable room, newly refurbished, with lovely drapes and bedding. Continent breakfast included, was comprehensive. Service was excellent in the bar and breakfast room. Expensive but top quality destination. Recommended.

A fantastic central location with a beautiful interior. The bedroom was luxurious with comfortable beds. The breakfast was lovely and a very quality meal with fresh ingredients. As an addition, the spa was fantastic value with an excellent range of features. Overall a warm and friendly stay in central Chester.

The Chester Grosvenor this is a 5-star hotel right in the centre of Chester's shopping area. It is all that you would expect of a 5-star establishment and more. With a lively brasserie and bar in front of the house and a second one within the hotel next to the 5-star Arkle restaurant. I have stayed there and all is luxury, but as these are only my personal comments I'm not going into further detail. Just one warning it's not cheap in any way.
Excellent stay in the Grosvenor suite last Saturday. Every member of staff we encountered were always smiling and helpful. Beautiful hotel and excellent service from start to finish. Will be back soon. Thank you to all the staff. Regards. Anthony Lomax.
Not the best service considering the location. Had to wait overly long to order, then had to remind the staff of our order. Only had tea/coffee and cake which were excellent, just let down by service.
