My room (king size single) was great. There isn't a mini fridge but that's a small thing. The staff was helpful. The instant coffee in the room is awful but there's a coffee shop in the lobby. Location is smack in the middle of downtown Toronto which means you're in reach of most attractions. Overall good experience.

It's not the place for family come and relax.. Ambience is average. Hotel is not value for money. Entry to the hotel is not that good. But the staff is efficient and helpful. No second time here.

Great hotel. Affordable and the location is so central to everything and transportation. Rooms very standard but the balconies downtown are a nice touch. Also fantastic having a a kids pool on a separate floor from the adults. Front desk was super helpful and friendly.

Our room was dirty, they left candy on the floor, pizza and other food on the balcony. I was disappointed with the wear down of the room. Even the bath tub did work, so overall I was no impressed

Went to Toronto General for surgery and Chelsea is convenient and close. They offered us a very good room rate so my wife didn't have to commute each day. Friendly staff and close to everything downtown.

The Chelsea Hotel is a Toronto classic that didn t age well. The rooms and hallways are in need of a serious revamp. Its location (downtown core) and new lobby is probably the only thing that keeps it from looking like the hotel in the movie The Shining .

The room feels like you re staying at Big Lebowski s house. Whoever photoshopped their Expedia pictures should win a Cannes Lion of Design. In addition, the ad said Queen size bed, but it seriously looked and felt like a double.

Thus, when it comes down to it, the Chelsea Hotel is not a real 3.5 star rated hotel, and it is far from it. However, they have interesting amenities for the whole family.

Hotel Amenities:
$35 per day parking
2 Indoor Pools
Water Slide
Fitness Facility
Bar Lounge
Babysitting & Childcare
Business Center

I am really happy that I goth a deal to Chelsea hotel through hotwire because I think that I would be disappointed if paid full price... The room is small but still clean and comfy, the bathroom is really small.... The thermostat is weird, if you close it, it becomes cold in the room, if turned on it blows warm air.. which would be fine if it were not directed straight at the bed.... Could not fall asleep with air blowing on my face... The wifi is complementary but the speed is awfull, 5 min to load a page.

The hotel is well placed, you are close to everything, there a tons of restaurants around, shopping, cinema.

Overall I am happy with the experience...

Booked a room online for the night, and a room was made ready upon our arrival. Prime location and our room had a nice view of the CN Tower. Only thing I would suggest would be some inner renovations as it's a slightly older hotel.

I had to change my room twice, I booked a single bed Queen. When I arrive the person checking me in wanted to give me a two beds room, which is not what I had booked.
I had also asked for a quite room in the reservation and again at the desk. He gave me one next to the lift. So when I realized and went down and asked for a change. He gave me a second room next to the ice machine. I went down and complained and the manager gave me a nice room which was quite.

At check out, I was in line and at my turn I had to check out with the person that checked in me in. He told me I know you had problems at the beginning but I wanted to give you a two bed room which was quite and you said no. So I DO NOT UNDERSTAND, HE PUT ME NEXT TO THE NOICY ROOM AS A PAYBACK BECAUSE I WANTED THE ROOM I ORIGINALLY BOOKED. I WAS LATE SO I DID NOT REPLY, BUT WHAT ON EARTH INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING.

Stayed here aand the elevators to the blue rooms are slow. I was with colleagues and they said the red rooms were noisy due to a loud restaurant across the street. My faucet queried fine the first night. The second night, cold water handle would spin but no water came out. They don't have true room service, your food comes as if you ordered takeout in food boxes and with disposable silverware. I would not choose this hotel again. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The exits make this hotel convenient.

The meeting rooms are a little small, but everything is clean and well appointed. The rooms are nice, and the hotel staff take service seriously. Be sure to call and confirm as they move through their renovations.

I will start off by saying that the staff are wonderful and the beds are amazing to sleep in. The rooms are always clean. However the elevators are nightmarish and the lobby stinks to high heaven. The sauna's are not clearly marked.( they are hidden in the change rooms).

Nice lobby, clean rooms, close to some great restaurants and downtown entertainment. The only downside is that parking is not free here, it was something like $31 per night. We had to find our own parking in a neighbouring building for about $24 a night.

Great location, okay rooms. Rooms are okay for a short stay and if you're planning on being out in the city for most of the day. We were told that our room was recently renovated but we did not see evidence of said renovation. Worst part, the elevators are SOOOO slow that people have started using the employee elevators. Not impressed.

Price was very good in comparison to other hotels in downtown Toronto. Other guests on our our floor were obviously smoking, which I did not like. Previous guests on our room were smoking too as there were cigarette butts left on the window. Other than that, room was clean and the location of the hotel is great. If you need parking, you're better off finding a private lot as the hotel charged $43/night.

Beautiful hotel, the room was of course super clean, the bed extremely comfortable. The guest lounge on 27 floor is lovely and they have really good scrambled eggs for breakfast. The market in the lobby is perfect for lunch.

I haven't stayed at this hotel, but I spent a lot of time in their restaurants when I worked nearby. All of the restaurants are good, though the pub always seemed to need a face-lift, but the quality of the food was never disappointing. I found that it was a nice place to eat and decompress during or after the work day, it is relaxing and they never rush you to leave. I still go back there to meet old work friends and the quality of food is still good. Lot's to choose from: Lunch time Indian buffet, All day cafeteria style buffet and cooked to order menu. Evening pub and Evening Bistro. Tried them all and even through the changes of ownership and name changes, the product has stayed consistent. I even order my take out Turkey to Go dinner from them at Christmas and it's a perfect family meal without being stuck in the kitchen and missing any holiday fun.

We were pleased to get a patient rate as we had to stay over night for a few doctors appointments. It was convenient to be so close and a nice room was a bonus. Clean and comfortable for the few hours of sleep we needed

Perfect location, great price! The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. It was as luxurious as some of the other downtown Toronto hotels, but I would highly recommend for any one who prefers value to aesthetics.

Beautiful lobby and accommodations. Only downfall was having to wait for the elevators for a long time. Waited a half hour and decided to walk down the stairs from the 21st floor. Other than that, great stay. Very clean and comfortable beds. Would stay again!

The rooms are small sized compared to US hotels but average sized to European hotels. Various parts of it are due for renovation but overall it was a comfortable stay. The staff is very friendly and they also provide a flat fee taxi limo service to the airport which is important for traveling out of the country.

The wait times for the elevators was terrible. Every trip up and down required a lot of waiting; long trips up or down and elevators were very crowded. While waiting on 2nd floor, we waited over 20 minutes for an elevator and finally went to the red elevators to travel to the 26th floor so that we could walk down 6 floors to our own floor. Very frustrating and cut into a lot of time in our holiday.
Also, a maid walked into our room to clean at 9 am even though we had requested a later check out time.
The price for the breakfast was extremely expensive. For myself and 2 children, our breakfast cost us over $60. Due to our long trip down in the elevator, we only had 15 minutes before the breakfast shut down and staff was already starting to take food away. Totally unacceptable cost for what we received.

Pricey hotel. My room was fine and warm. There was a small balcony locked up that was in dire need of cleaning. A large pigeon was nesting on that balcony covering it in feces. Some rooms in our party were not renovated and looked like dark closets. Food was overpriced so I used the abundant food offerings of this central location. I did not visit the pool nor gym.

This is the second time we've stayed here in the last few months. What a beautiful hotel for a Date Night in the city. Clean and curious. Woke up in morning to no coffee cups in room. Called down and within 15min we had some cups which was great. I'm very sensitive to fragrances and their shampoo and soaps are a beautiful sent. I love it. Last stay I used the fitness room and pool. Amazing equipment to keep on your fitness goals. Contemplating getting s 2 room suite to bring the kids for a day. Hear the family pool area is amazing.

The location is great. Close to some of the best restaurants in Toronto. The rooms are spacious and clean. If you are lucky, you may even get a room with a nice view to the CN Tower. The service was fine, although some people in the front desk could be a little bit more well trained about how to use their computers. Other than that, everything was great. Highly recommended! :D

I travel for work and spend a lot of time i hotels, the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto has been one of my worst experiences. The staff are rude and unhelpful, the hotel is old and in disrepair, and the noise is terrible. I was awoken all through the night by banging doors and yelling guests. The walls and doors have zero noise insulation. And whatever you do, don't eat the food there.

Terrible hotel. Extremely crowded lobby, feels as if in a market. Slow internet, I lived in the 17th floor and my WiFi connection was almost useless. I was there for only one night and in that night, around 3-4 am, the fire alarm started and lasted for at least 30 min before it stoped. Horrible experience, never again.

Overall great place for the price. It's only a few minutes from the Megabus bus stop which is super convenient and the hotel has a pool, hot tub, and sauna too. The only downside was that my room was on the small side and the walls were thin leading to some noise from my neighbors. Would definitely recommend though!

Guest services was rude. Room smelled like smoke and was extremely small. Super loud. Requested a roll out bed for my son and they had none so he had to sleep on the floor. Super high price for the quality. The only nice thing was family play area and pool. Even the parking garage was crappy and really low clearance plus it was $35 dollars a night to park when I was a guest at the hotel. We left a day early bc it was so bad and took the loss of our money since they didn't give us a refund. Convenience might be a plus until you look out and see homeless people all over and police sirens ever he during the night. I would have rather stayed outside the city and just drove in.

The hotel rooms are small and narrow. I requested a king, I got a room with 2 doubles. Too tired to deal with it though. There were hairs in the bathroom. I was staying for 2 weeks, no mini fridge or microwave. Cheap motels even have that available! The location is probably what you're paying for.

Rooms are adequate. But carpet seems worn. Lobby is modern and bright and inviting. Although there are different colored sections for the elevators to specific floors, it is easy to follow the corner codes.
