The wine, steak and fish are extremly good. The pear salad is very unique. The source of steak is just right for steak. It is first time to have such steak source in my life.

Have food with UK history is wonderful experience.

Carlton , my first choise !!!!

Carlton , my first choise !!!!
The Carlton was founded by Conservative Party peers, MPs and gentlemen in 1832, and as such, is yet another gentlemen s club with a conservative political alignment.

The club was founded in at a time contiguous to the Reform Club, as Conservative Party members felt the need to establish a meeting place to plan their counter attack following the passing of the first Reform Act

. The club derives its name from its original premises at Carlton Terrace but was moved, ironically, to be situated next to the Reform Club in Pall Mall after its membership outgrew the building.

The Carlton s venerated membership wasn t enough to protect it from the Luftwaffe during the Blitz of the Second World War, after which it was moved to its current resting place at 69 St. James s Street. Until her death, Lady Margaret Thatcher was the only female member of the club with full membership having been made an honorary member in 1975.

One of the best gentleman club experiences I ve had in a long time. Very clean (yet dirty where it s needed ). Great time and good fun. The girls are very welcoming and show little outward signs of trauma.

I visited the Carlton Club as a guest of Marie Curie after taking part in the 2016 Ride London cycle event. The wearing of Lycra in bright colours wouldn't normally accord with the club's strict dress code, but given that this was a charity event, this was overlooked.
I was given access to a single room to shower and change, before taking a massage and then lunch in the Morning Room.
A stunning looking building inside and well worth a visit if you get the opportunity!

This wonderful building is the headquarters of the Conservative Party located in St James's in the heart of London. The building comprises beautiful rooms and the member's bar. If you are lucky to get invited inside make sure you visit the Cabinet Room in the basement where you will be under the watchful gaze of all the Conservative Prime ministers through the history.

Owners club for drivers of the much missed Vauxhall Carlton. A bit cliquey - if they don't know you they try to palm you off at the door with a cover story about being an elite dining club or something. But once you're in it's great: big tables with boxes of spare parts for sale or swap, mainly original Vauxhall. And always a few other Carlton enthusiasts knocking about, happy to share photos of their mods and restorations.

Excellent evening, first class service, wines and mighty food for those of traditional disposition. Best bearnaise known to man. In this case woman. The iconic high winged armchairs are very much in abundance, ready for those who have a plot or overthrow to discuss.
