Always a fun place to take the kids. Great exhibits including Rosie the tarantula, who the kids get to have crawl on their hands. There is an indoor play place that is good for kids up to about age 7 or so, and then a huge trail outdoors, along with tons of space to eat while looking at the great landscaping. All kinds of restaurants are close by as well!

Amazing place, great collection of insects and sea animals. Very educational. The butterflies are just beautiful. Great parking, very nice staff, clean bathrooms, and nice store with artcrafts and learning toys. Please visit and enjoy from the many beautiful insects.

Cheap admission (cheaper if you go on the right day or look for a deal) and beautiful attractions. If you have to be told what is great about sitting in a warm tropical room full of butterflies on a cold winter day (but also good any day), then I don't know what to say. Please watch your kids though! These are delicate creatures that don't do well with unattended toddlers (and older kids that should know much better)

What an amazing treasure we have in Westminster! Kids of all ages will have a blast here. There is so much more than just butterflies so don't let the name fool you. The staff is amazing! Everyone that works there clearly enjoys what they do and it shows! After our first visit we became members and our children absolutely love going to visit!

Very cool place especially for kids. So many neat little things to look at & a staff more than willing to talk all day about the critters there. The butterfly garden itself is a unique experience & most of my time was spent there with butterflies fluttering literally everywhere I looked.

We love holding Rosie the tarantula and digging for mealworms here. There were a lot of cool exotic insects of all different sizes and we even got to try eating bugs while we were there I had the ranch covered cricket it was gross! That was just a special show for the day they always have something new to teach us. Oh and of course you can't forget hundreds of butterflies and the excellent staff . They even have an indoor play area with a little slide, we live an hour away, but it's worth the occasional trip.

The Water's Edge and Crawl-a-See-um exhibits were fairly small for the price. The gift store was huge of course so they can keep that money train going. The free flying butterfly exhibit was nice though.

This is a must see! Whenever I visit Denver I make this a stop. Rosie the tarantula is available to hold at certain time. Don't worry, they have several "Rosie". The open area where the butterflies are free is absolutely amazing. If you are lucky some may land on you! The different species are stunning. They also have a window where you can see the butterflies hatch from their cocoon. The live exotic plants they have are beautiful also. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I give this place a 10/10.

I love that the Butterfly Pavilion offers yoga in the butterfly room. It is relaxing to be surrounded by butterflies and streaching your body! I also liked that since it was humid in the room that it helped me stretch a bit more than I would have been able to. I would highly suggest this expereince to anyone who is either interested in yoga or those who want a novelty expereince.

Go early!!! The school buses arrive by 10a...love the children; the shear numbers make it a challenge. Our little ones, 2@3 were thrilled with the butterflies. Didn't take the time to go through the entire Pavilion. Nice people.

Snowed in Colorado, they decided to open an hour late and cancelled our visit. They did email, but no call to notify. Offered a refund which is expected but did nothing else to help. Our appointment was 20 minutes before new opening time. They would not be flexible. Ended up with a 2 hour round trip for nothing.

We went on the last day they offered the $5 admission so it was a little packed, but we still had a lot of fun! It was my families first time going, and it was beautiful! My son, husband and myself held Rosie the tarantula. It was pretty terrifying but a cool experience. Will definitely be going again next time we visit Colorado

Had so much fun and the kids learned a lot. Smaller than I though it would be but that's ok! Definitely worth the drive and the money. All of the employees are helpful and excited to teach you things. Great experience.

The kids have so much fun watching the butterflies and looking at all of the bugs! We brought our family of 7 here to finish off our family staycation this summer, i usually take the kids every year. If you have an EBT card you can get in for $5/person!

The Butterfly Pavilion is not on 104th Avenue. It's on Westminster Blvd. My GPS took me to a street with no entrance and no parking, from which it's difficult to get back to the entrance. I wasted an hour in rush hour traffic (there was construction on 104th), and almost got in two accidents, because the staff doesn't know what street the place is on.

Great place to visit if you have young kids or just someone who loves insect and arachnids of any kind regardless of any age. Spring and summer you are able to experience more of the surrounding area. Knowledgeable and kind staff. Plus a beautiful butterfly house with lots of exotic species including plants.

I want to give this place a higher rating, but for the price of entry it's a little disappointing. It took us about 20-30 minutes to experience the butterflies and other small exhibits then the exit put us right in front of a huge gift shop. My 3yr-old wanted to spend more time in there and it almost has more to see.

Have been going here for years now. Started out taking the kids and family who visited from out-of-state and now we're taking the Grandbabies.

But, it has always been a perfect way to spend a relaxing day just to stroll through and examine all the different beautiful butterflies that float around as you walk or sit on one of the several bench seats they have positioned along the path.

The staff there is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. And everytime we have gone there has been several volunteers on-site giving presentations and explaining things, which raises the bar of fascination!

There is a snack / meal truck providing eats just outside attached to an outdoor eating area. And a gift shop with fun trinkets, shirts, etc.

The place is definitely set up with youngsters in mind as many of the exhibits have ramps to help the smaller ones as well as those in wheelchairs to get a better view.

There is also a small indoor area completely set up with small playground type equipment where the kids can run off some extra energy!

Another great feature is a small section that allows for petting starfish and horseshoe crabs!

As you can see there is just a lot to see and do to pass some good quality family time or just a personal place to let the stress unwind. But I just can't say enough about it. If your considering something that will enlighten and entertain all ages, I would highly recommend that you give this place a try.

This is a lovely little place. They had a decent exhibit of insects to observe and you can even hold a tarantula. Which I attempted for about 2 seconds and then tweeked out. The butterfly pavilion itself is charming and beautiful. The only thing I didn't care for was the lack of supervision of the many children running around. The one corner with the railing had many trapped butterflies that the children were picking up. I complained to the staff person that monitors the exit and he simply stated that they were just too understaffed. Made my heart sink a little. Still cool little spot to visit.
