Lovely, comfortable pub with good food if just a tad overpriced.... Not really a pub to visit in the evening just for a drink as it is very much geared up to dining. Nice place nonetheless.

Really enjoyed our meal here, taking covid seriously lots of measures in place, very clean. Food was fantastic, absolutely top notch and well worth the cost. Great selection of beers too and excellent service. Will be returning.

The four of us enjoyed our lunch here. Nice atmosphere. Great service. Nice staff. With open fires, would be great in the winter months. Large menu with something for everyone. We had the scallops for a starter. For main we had Crispy chilli beef salad which included Lotus fruit, it was very nice and unusual. The portions were quite large so left us with no room for desert. Good value for money, Will be back soon ;-)

Part of the Brunning and Price group. Seems to boast a rather uppity clientele, with prices to match. Nice location on the road between Wilmslow and Prestbury, with tasteful decor and good quality food throughout.

We love this place for so many different reasons:

1. Cosy with warm fire places
2. Good selection of beer and ale
3. Big enough with lots of seats and tables of different sizes
4. Food is very good indeed
5. Staff are friendly and the service is great

I would recommend booking which you can do online.

Nice country pub with good food and service. Menu was well presented but not overly seasonal, there was a lot of heavy sounding dishes: pies, roasts etc... Lighter dishes would have been appreciated. That said my chicken breast in pulses and broth was tasty, but probably one of the for October not July.
We'll stop in again though next time we are in the area.

Such a shame as I really wanted to love this place as the setting and location is stunning.

However, we stopped by on Monday afternoon for a few drinks and some food. The beer was good and the bar staff excellent (thats the one star) but the food was a massive let down - the garlic bread with cheese came and it was 2 rounds of white toast, some sort of garlic butter and melted cheese on top. Not what we expected! It did make us wonder what the garlic bread without the cheese would be.

Then we had the burger, this wasn't much better. The bun of the burger was a White Oven Bottom Muffin / Roll which in its self is a cardinal sin. The coleslaw looked like it had been out for awhile and was a yellow colour on the top and white when you removed the top layer - didn't even risk trying it. The only other item on the plate were the chips. It looked like the chips they had given us were the end of a batch as there were about 4 each that we could eat, the rest were crusty ends and small fried bits.

We ate what we could and left very disappointed and wished we had gone to another pub that's local as we had originally planned.

Excellent pub with excellent food. Great menu selection at a good price. Just a pity we had to leave our table at 8pm as it had also been booked for another party. I expect to stay at my table for the evening not for just 2 hrs.

A lovely pub with real character and a bit of class. We stumbled upon The Bulls Head after a country drive. The menu is full of traditional classics and although it may seem pricier than standard pub fare, the high standard of food makes the slightly higher prices worth while. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was excellent. The venison (with venison cottage pie on the side) was a real highlight and recommended. Desserts were generous, yummy and reasonably priced We'll definitely be back. Plenty of parking available.

Attractive large pub with big car park. Well situated in Mottram St. Andrew's. Lots of smaller rooms and very welcoming atmosphere. Staff attentive, new daily menu,
Open from 10am, food from noon.
Good place to begin walks.

Just used for the beer garden after a walk. Nice staff, atmosphere and decent variety in choice of beer. Everything was clean and well presented - definitely a nice stop by at the weekend. Shame the majority of people will have to drive to it.
