The gallery is a great venue to look at art that is 'Art' you won't find unmade beds, animals in formaldehyde or sculptures in blood. You will see talented works by talented artists. Great venue.

This is an excellent art gallery where all the work is for sale (but not cheap!) Really enjoyed walking around the two floors which are packed with artworks. Then there is the cafe which is to a high standard and very reasonably priced.

Enjoyable morning strolling round this varied art gallery. Interesting styles of painting and other kinds of artisan work.

Good space, art well displayed. Some interesting pieces.

Loved the gallery and the scones in cafe were just divine to top it all off.

Jim Moir exhibition was excellent, loved his work. The other stuff there, nothing special, a couple of nice pieces though.

Absolutely love this place for a browse of what creative people are making. This time we bought a horse by Zoe Robinson. Loved the young artists exhibition and added our vote to see who will win.

A rich mix of talented people in one place that is well worth a visit. The food is very good, a quiet and tasteful atmosphere. Coffee and cake is well worth it.

First time here and it was brilliant.Vic Reeves artwork very funny and the shop had some lovely pieces.Well worth a visit.

We love this place. Great art and food all under one roof

Great paintings and sculptures which are all for sale. This means that the displays are constantly changing. Nice coffee shop on the top floor which looks out onto Byker.

Art for lunch! The foraged mushroom special was without a doubt the best lunch I had in Newcastle all week. Not to mention, the coffee..so real, not freeze-dried. Browse all the art, and books. Even the bathroom is decorated with care. Worth the stop!

Really enjoy visiting this gallery each time I go. Interesting range of local artists and enjoy both looking in the gallery and shop sections. Great place to find gifts for friends and family.

Food is all lovely. You can enjoy your breakfast, brunch or lunch. Strongly recommend the pistachio/rose cake. Close to city centre but also allocated free parking is available. If you are interested in art, before or after ypur food you can have a look around. Terrace has lovely views. The only problem is it closes at 5pm.

Unique art gallery. Able to pay for items over time rather than all at once.

Recommend a visit whether resident or tourist.. . . outstanding exhibitions of creativity at its best!

It's good, not a place for inquisitive kids with boundless energy

A nice place to visit, but the service in the cafe is poor. Visited today and it was very quiet, waited over 15 mins to be served a coffee and it only arrived after a reminder to the staff. It was eventually brought to the table with not a word of apology for the waiting time. Heaven help them on busy days.

Great to walk around and see all the beautiful things

A great venue to see regional art, be it prints, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, glass or jewelry - with exceptionally helpful staff to lead you through the maze of contemporary art.

Art galleries aren't my thing (my other half is the artist) but this seemed ok.

Loved this place. We viewed the art and popped into the cafe for coffee and cake. A good way to kill a few hours. I'm not even into art but there was enough there to keep my attention.

Consistently good food and friendly service. Fresh and clean. Best salad bar!

Had not been here for a couple of years, visited last month and it was good to reacquaint ourselves with this varied gallery. Well worth visiting the cafe is fantastic too.

Very cool art gallery with an amazing cafe. Cafe could do a variety and very generous portions. Food sourced locally so you get a real taste of the region. Would absolutely recommend and will visit again.

Great place to visit with excellent artwork and cafe

Really impressed with the venue, it is light and airy and the art work was beautifully displayed. The cafe offers a wonderful array of lunch options, cakes and gorgeous ice cream.

Nice function room. Bar service terrible. No drinkable draught beers.

Beautiful gallery and lovely cafe and a high quality restaurant. Not cheep but good quality.

Had the flat bread and houmous with cauliflower salad. It tasted lovely. Service was really slow (inexplicably so), tables were left dirty, dishes not cleared and food took more than 30 minutes to come out. For a lunch time eatery, I couldn't recommend (purely based on speed). The food is of a good quality though.

Great gallery. Always have a selection to suit all tastes and all pockets. Paintings, ceramics, prints, sculpture, jewellery, glass. Beautiful building. Nice cafe. Park across the road in the Holy Biscuit car park.

Enjoy our visits but standard of artwork seems to be getting poorer.

The gallery itself is okay. However, the fat reception lady is possibley one of the most arrogant person to ever work in an art gallery. We arrived in heavy rain for a short stopover. With nowhere to park, we decieded to leave the car briefly in the car park partially blocking another vehicle and left a note on the windscreen with my mobile number on it. As soon as we walked in, the fat lady scolded us in one of the most condescending and patronising tone possible and was totally indifferent to the inclement weather outside. When we tried to explain that we'd only stay for a short while and the gallery itself is tiny (not exactly Tate Modern) to find us, she kept shouting at us and told us to move (your typical council warden comes to mind). When I pointed out to her that she didn't need to use such a condesending tone, she just went mental. Definitely avoid the days that she's in (or until she's gone).

The stripped down space of a redundant factory makes for a stunning space to display such varied art works. Loving the linoprints on show at present!

Nice for a look around,well laid out,some of the artwork is very good!Cafe is nice,clean with choice of outside,nearly outside and inside!!!food good,reasonable prices.

Lovely deco. Food delicious (was there for a wedding reception). Thank you for a lovely night. Love the art too. Some caught my eye.
