A very nice place to visit in Newcastle, with bespoke and tasteful art collections, art shops, coffee and restaurant.
A very nice place to visit in Newcastle, with bespoke and tasteful art collections, art shops, coffee and restaurant.
The gallery and shop are well worth a visit if you have any interest in arts and crafts.
Lovely gallery with a variety of art to browse or buy. Good restaurant and coffee shop.
Really great food in quite unique and unexpected surroundings. I've celebrated a number of milestone birthdays here including my dad's 60th and my own 40th... always a winner
Good place for art lovers. But all arts and crafts are too expensive.
Really interesting place so much to see & enjoy. Lovely coffee shops well.
Nice gallery, lovely space and good food. We went by bus but looked like there was parking near by .
Had works do here last week, it was really nice. The only criticism I have is that there were a lot of canopies being served but not enough waiters with prosecco. The meal was lovely but the chocolate dessert wasn't great.
Free display to look and buy things as u like to buy for great gift plus cafe as well
Great use of space to provide a gallery for a range of contemporary art. I didn't visit the restaurant but I hear it is highly recommend.
One of my favourite places however seemed a little sparce on art compared to previous visits.
Had not been for a couple of years and was better than ever. Key appeal is having something for everyone. Mike Moor prints and Tristan Lathey sculptures highlight this visit. Excellent gallery
Have never visited here but have heard good reports
Huge commercial gallery showcasing work by a variety of contemporary artists in a light and airy space. No one will like everything, but everyone will find something to love.
Great place to view work from local artists. Art for sale. There is a bookshop and a cafe.
Exciting range of ceramics, prints, paintings, etc in large, attractive gallery space. Helpful, pleasant staff on hand to assist with purchases for any pocket
Great venue for the IPPR North Economic Justice event. Refreshments great too. But even better service. My mobile ran down and they found a charger so I could sort out my trip home!
Lovely alfresco brunch on the upstairs terrace then mooched around the gallery for a bit. Very pleasant and relaxing way to spend a Sunday morning. Art work available on credit.
The Biscuit Factory is the site of a former warehouse and used in the manufacturing of biscuits. Which explains the name. Now it s a wonderful gallery of the a excellent collection contemporary art and exhibition space. The exhibits are a mix of paintings, arts and crafts, ceramics, glassware and some truly stunning bespoke jewellery across two floors, most of which are for sale. Some expensive, some reasonably priced.
There s also two restaurants in the building, one on each floor.
Great art but horrible business model of treating artists badly...
Original art, beautifully presented and a cracking cafe. Say no more ...
Visit the Baltic then come here to see "Proper" art by local and national artists of note. Not just painting but all sorts of art of a high standard i. e. showing skill out of the ordinary. On top of this there is excellent food available. We'll worth the short walk out of the city centre.
Lovely art gallery with a relaxing atmosphere. Cafe and restaurant are excellent
Top little gallery with interesting exhibits, and a lovely little cafe up top. Showcases some local talent too.
Lovely space, some beautiful pieces of art, jewellery and sculpture to purchase. Great location to get the more interesting Xmas presents.
Worth a visit, very modern art, lovely stuff but not my thing. Great food in cafe upstairs.
Great artwork and a variety of gifts perfect for friends and family!
Fabulous place. Wish I could buy lots of the Art. Well worth a visit.
Spacious and airy art gallery. Well set out, friendly staff and some great art too!
It has lots of pretty and nice stuff. Could be covered in about 30mins or less.
Just had a good day out at the Biscuit Factory
Wonderful building, great food and places to eat.
Fabulous Art at great prices.
My niece got married here. If you like modern art, this is a good place to go. Very well set out and interesting. Wedding was amazing just like the surrounding.
Gorgeous space. Plenty to see. Lovely cafe. Well worth a visit. We shall definitely return.
Place is great, cafe lovely, parking is a disaster. Could not get parked after driving around twice. Went back to home.
Interesting gallery in former biscuit factory - all items available to purchase. Great cafe with good atmosphere.
Biscuit rooms, good space but poorly organised for parking. I attended an event and the main car park was out of use due to soil being delivered so I had to park in a limited time space and move my car half way through. Event organiser didn't remind people to do this as planned. When we left the event the car park hadn't been touched. A stressful start to the day.
Great Art Gallery, well worth a visit, if the fancy takes you it also has a lovely cafe upstairs.
A bit twee and gift shoppy as opposed to an art gallery. Nice option for monthly payments to make owning art more affordable.
Wonderfully designed building, on a sunny day the light comes streaming through the windows and lights up every corner of the gallery. I was primarily here for a teapot making class- which I loved! - but the little wander myself and my friend took afterwards around the gallery was lovely. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Easily accessible by wheelchair, no small gaps anywhere that couldn't be adjusted if necessary. Wonderful.
Visiting this place is a very thought provoking and artistic experience. A wealth of talented artists have their work on show, theres a fab funky modern cafe and the food in the restaurant is of a very high standard. The seasonal displays of new up and coming artists is a great idea and they also do hands on craft classes which are very enjoyable and a great way to be involved.
Visited to see Jim Muirs exhibition. Enjoyed the visit. Many great pieces.
Nice morning looking at art i think abit over priced on some of the material if you want to buy any thing.
This was an interesting gallery with artist studios, displays of art items on sale, and interactive projects, such as the colouring of ceramic flowers made by them.
I loved the variety of items. If only I had an unlimited source of funds ... I would have bought so many of the displayed items.
We also had snacks and coffee at their cafe.
This gallery is good to visit if you're looking for original gift ideas by artists, jewellers and other creatives.
Visited for the Film Festival but was very impressed with the art exhibition, a beautifully restored building with excellent facilities.
Always an interesting range of art for view / sale, and a great cafe. Try the bacon sandwich with a fried egg...
This place is a nice modern art gallery with a lovely glass fronted upstairs restaurant cone coffee place and I believe there is also outside dinning available too....well worth a look around and if you re not short of a bob or two you could even purchase a splendid piece of art too..
Lovely variety of art and environment! There is lots to see and variety of price range for those looking to buy. These is overflow parking and disabled parking, however, only about 20-30 spaces
Now I would rate this higher but me and my party of young travellers were severely disappointed upon following signs for a biscuit factory only to find a contemporary art gallery, not a biscuit in sight! I'm not much of an arty man but some of the peices were interesting to say the least. By the nine the cafe was exquisite! I must recommend the burnt honey ice cream and zesty lemon water I never had anything like It! Overall, a good way to kill an hour and it's convenient location from Logan's flat makes it easy to deliver the regular shipments of shovels and office chairs that I have to drop off to him.
Top quality, really enjoyed visit and artwork on display
Gorgeous art gallery and lovely light lunches available.
Set in amongst countless large student accomodations, this little Pearl is an interesting find. I should preamble this by saying I am no art connoisseur, so whilst the variety impressed me, the art itself mostly left me cold. That said the variety of forms was interesting. The high light was the cafe! Sorry but true. If you love art you will disagree with me. Fine by me.
Just spent a lovely morning with Muddy Fingers Pottery at the Biscuit factory. The food in the cafe was also excellent. Looking forward to the next three weeks of the course.
Lovely outdoor/indoor eating experience perfect for changeable weather. Food and service impeccable as always. Loved the living walls of begonias.
Great place to view art and also make purchases nice cafe and restaurant too.
Lovely airy place to spend some time. Excellent cafe on the first floor.
Great art on display, that they change quite regularly so worth multiple visits
Great selection of art , wide price range, nice cafe
Love this gallery. There is always a fantastic range of art, jewellery, ceramics and glass. The staff are friendly and professional. There is never any pressure to buy. In addition the cafe and bistro serve delicious food.
Great selection of art and ceramic and when finished pop nect door to the Artisan restaurant for lovely food at excellent prices
A fantastic day out for the family. We will be back
Brunch in the lovely conservatory. The shakshuka was delicious and the hazelnut & cinnamon meringue was the right amount of sweet (and naughty!). The safety measures were such that we both felt relaxed and could enjoy our natter. It helps More
Unfortunately, we waited half an hour for a brunch sandwich and Eggs Benedict. They forgot one pot of tea. When the eggs arrived, they were cold and hard. The bacon wasnt crispy, it was burned.
I was only working at the biscuit factory a very nice place and every body was helpfull
