Spent our whole day here yesterday and at first it was wonderful!! All but 2 rides were open but just a couple hours into the day there were about 5 of the big rides down due to low staffing. So unfortunately my family and I didn't have enough time to check out all the rides which was a big disappointment. The ladies room was absolutely disgusting!! And we all got scraped up on the rides we were able to go. It wasn't the worst thing for what we paid for and the time spent but this place could really use some major improvements!

Myself and my son really enjoyed this place! I didn't find out about it until this year but wanted to explore new places with my son...the slides were great...very friendly except one employee at the food staff was super rude! Also, they do need to constantly clean up the leaves in the lazy river. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves for 2 days straight at this park! We will be going back!

About half the rides were shut down because they didn't have the staff to man them. 6 of 7 ticket counters were closed, so a long line at the one open counter. Same story at the concession stands - long lines and not enough help. The rides that were open were fun, but since everyone was crowded onto the few open rides, again, long lines.
The place could be nice, but it has a tired, worn look and wasn't very clean. Not enough shade, not enough chairs or tables. I suppose they wanted us to put all of our stuff in one of their $15.00 lockers. The $10.00 parking charge was another unpleasant surprise. The rides all posted 250-pound weight limits for riders, but this was never enforced, raising questions about this establishment's safety culture.

We bought a groupon and drove several hours to go. They advertised over 40 water based activities but over 1/2 the park was closed. They only had 7 water slides open. The wave pool was closed for several hours. The snack bar was out of fountain drinks and they didn t have the product to refill it. I called the administration office over two weeks ago and left a message. They have not returned my calls. I would not go back or recommend this to anyone. Spend the extra money and go to Kings Island water park just down the street.

*** 6 months later they still haven t responded

We came with the family and rented a cabana. We had been before on a Sunday and they were slammed. It was a Thursday so they weren t to busy and the cabana was clean. The girl who served us was very polite and made sure we got everything we needed. Food was alittle expensive but that was expected at a Waterpark. It was actually very tasty tho especially the burgers and fries. The life guards were polite and directed us around the park as needed plus, despite short staffing most of the slides were open and the lines weren t to long. Overall a great day out but from previous experiences I would try and come on a week day as it is less crowded.

Not enough life guards, very poorly taken care of facility, nasty changing rooms and restrooms, only one concession stand open, half of the water slides were closed, and very dirty pool water. Never returning. Thank god I didn t purchase these tickets at retail price!

We had a blast. No lines at all and all the slides were terrific. Only disappointment is the big kahuna requires two people and under 400 pounds total. I would tell you now, if you are over 400 think twice. Most of the lifeguards were chatty and fun. I would go back!

Honestly,

Honestly,
It was just OK. My first customer service experience was awful (I called for information in regards to my online ticket purchase) they were extremely short with me and hung up. When we arrived to the park I noticed how disgusting the bathrooms were. I mean, it looks like nothing has been updated since the 90s! I felt like the lazy river was gross. No patrol or anything. I watched one of the life guards laugh as a kid threw an inter tube in my face. Half of the rides were closed down. And lastly, I felt unsafe and very nervous as I waited in line on one of the tall water slides. Seriously, this park needs a makeover. It used to be fantastic back in the day - just highly disappointed

After a 3 hour drive yesterday 7/4/18 and $160 for tickets, to bring my son and his friends to the water park for his birthday, we was very disappointed with the Waterpark. We had been there once before and had a great time. However this time, the big kahuna and the ripe tide racer was closed the entire day. The kimikaze and cowabunga curl was only open part of the day. Not to mention the runaway rapids half way down the slide you would get stuck causing you to get off the tube to push yourself down because there was no park employee there to assist, only to have the life guard at the bottom of the slide yelling at you very rudely because you you had no other choice but to get off the tube if you wanted to continue sliding to the bottom. After the cost of the tickets plus the $100 spent on food for the entire day for six people, it would have been well worth my money to just have went to Kings Island instead. It being July 4th of all days, one would think this park would have made sure to have all slides open.

The old park was way better. I couldn't even buy my 4 year old a souvenir because in order for him to get any type of toy we had to waste money in the arcade so he could get one with tickets. The park is not family oriented like it used to be at all . The water was dirty and being in it made you feel disgusting. I will find another park to go to because in the past 7 years I've been going here it has let me down

I drove 2 hours to experience this waterpark. The radar says there will be one pop up storm but nothing big. Nonetheless, they decided to close for the whole day. What a joke. No wonder why this place is always closed. If there is a cloud in the sky, the park closes FOR THE WHOLE DAY.

While our family has enjoyed The Beach for more than 20 years, today's visit was very disappointing. We were told they were short-staffed on lifeguards, they closed six slides by 3:30 PM, some of the lifeguards were on their phones and most were barely paying attention, the Pearl pool looks to be disintegrating, and the park is simply looking old and declining. While we've had some fun memories there, this will probably be our last visit unless we hear about some major changes.

Really appreciate how Mike went out of the way to figure out how many water rides I could be on while pregnant by taking my name and phone number down so he could get a hold of his aquatics manager and I actually got a call back with the information I called about

We normally love this place. This year was not what we expected from our first time we were here. The last time we came here everything was open this time all our favorite slides were closed they lazy pool was super dirty. We were very disappointed this time.

This was a while back but I broke my wrist actually at this water park I was getting off the slide and these people were standing on the side walk blocking the way so I went the hill and I slipped and landed on my right hand it hurt so bad. So I go to the nurses shack and they say it's not broken because it wasn't bruising up or purple or something like that next day go to the hospital to check it out and it was broken other then that it's trashy expensive to get in and food and always lots of people. Usually one or two slides out of order.

The people were rude. The employees did nothing and didn t watch us. Someone stole some of my friends things. Someone cursed my friends out and started following them around the park until the parents from our group stepped in. Along with the overall trip was terrible.

Firstly, all the hands on deck were fantastic. Everyone was so nice. Crystal Scott at the front gate was wonderful, and Amanda, the consierge for the shorline cabanas was fast and knowledgeable. As always we had a blast. My gripes: The first and biggest was that there are yellow flying insects with stingers all along the shorline cabanas burrowing into the sand. Quite a hazard for my 3 and 1 year old girls. My wife's biggest gripe was the premature closure of the 3 far slides (arguably the best 3 besides the tall red one). The explanation was that the water got too hot. It has happened many times I've the last few years. The men's restroom stalls stayed very dirty for most of the day. I'm sure keeping it clean I'd not easy with all the water that gets tracked in, but all the same.

We visited on a Sunday, the park was extremely short staffed. Slides were closed, there was only one food stand open, the lines were almost an hour long and they were out of most food items. Will not go back!

The lazy river was absolutely disgusting. Bark, pine needles, sticks, etc. floating in entire river. Does not look like it has been cleaned in ages. The baby pool area was only open for maybe an hour. There is no other calm area for small children to play at. The main kids play area is not suitable for kids under 4. The landscaping is awful. Lots of "dirty" areas. Had a nicely decorated Beach car out front for publicity while out driving but the park looks very run down. Shouldn't have spent money on marketing but on improving the look of the park.

We first asked about peanut oil and the lady said "no we don't use any" but the guy behind the counter said "uh yeah we do". Luckily, he overheard the conversation and chimed in. (Called ahead of time no one ever answered. So we had to leave to eat lunch) The life guards were dancing and texting at the wave pool. The "arcade" is basically a giant room full of broken games. Definitely not worth the $76 we paid. My kids did have fun in the splash area and wave pool. Probably won't be back..

Awesome family fun summer day get away! The lazy river is great, the slides are pretty awesome! Great kid and toddler island! Volleyball, live bands, and zip line that runs over the wave pool! Plenty of fun for the whole family!

Disappointed. Park was cleaned, but severely understaffed. Most slides were on a rotating schedule, but key children's attractions were closed. We went with 2 toddlers and did not have many options. The wave pool was ok to wade in, but obviously had to be careful when the waves were going. The LAZY RIVER and the LIL KAHUNAS WATERWORKS were completely closed. There is no notice anywhere about what rides or areas would be closed for the day. The BIG CREEK BEACH was open, but truly is for older kids. They would not allow parents up the steps to accompany small toddlers and place them at the top of the slides and then didn't understand why there were too many kids on the slides and children not following rules. The big creek beech is not geared for toddlers and it was not safe to let my child go on her own even if she wasn't intimidated by all the sprays. It was not worthwhile even with shorter lines for the large adult slides. We wanted a family day and for our child to enjoy the water and it was not available. Find a splash park - costs much less and the same fun without inflated food and drink prices.

If I could give less then a star I would. More than half of the rides were not open. Was told when I was at the ticket booth they would rotate rides and they never did. After spending almost 2 hours in a line to get food and drinks get to the counter at 6 and was told I had to go to another one across the park cause they were closing. The staff was rude to us the entire time we were there and alot of us were first time vistors and we were there to celebrate my daughters 20th birthday. Because most of the rides were closed most of us sat there bored.

Another great day at The Beach. This is our second year in a row making a trip to visit the beach. Only one thing keeps it from a 5 experience. I called the day before driving to the area to confirm all attractions were open and was assured they were all open. When we arrived, there was a sign at the ticket booth about the Kowabunga slide down for the season. Also there was one other not operational. I don't know the name, but it was the triple slide. Staff is great and friendly.

The kids had fun, and the pool was much needed. The park itself, and the service are severely lacking. The bathroom/changing area was disgusting. Every toilet had an issue, half the doors don't close, and someone pooped on the floor (not even kidding). I was horrified to even be walking on the floor with flip flops on. The girl at the food service window was really rude too. Extremely overpriced, and overrated. Won't be going back.

Like it better than the waterpark at Kings Island. It's not near as crowded. Cheaper too since we don't do the rides. The park needs some major updating in some areas, just seems a little run down. Get past that and it's not a bad place to spend a day in the sun.
