5 stars for truly 5 star service. Our room with a view indeed offered us a breathtaking view of the campanile of Saint Mark's Square and the Grand Canal. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, top service at reception, breakfast on the Grand Canal with lots of choice. The rooftop on the seventh floor offers an incredible view.

Very good home decor "authentic" pity they do not have a partnership with the gondoliers in front of their door and they do not have special attention for the birthday of their client (flowers or chocolates ...)

Location is very good, breakfast view is good, but the price is higher than in Venice because it is located in Venice.

This is one of the loveliest places we have stayed in. The staff are gracious and friendly and always ready to be of assistance.

The three acres of garden are a treat, the rooms big and well equipped,
the food served in the restaurant is excellent and the breakfasts, which are included, served either inside or in the garden are varied and plentiful.
They made the best cappuccino I have enjoyed.

The shuttle boat goes every half hour to the San Marco stop and it only takes 5-10 minutes. What a joy it is to leave the tourist hoard and come back to this peaceful hotel, and it is much less expensive than Venice proper. Additionally, it has a very good spa. II had an amazing massage.

Come to the hotel bar to listen to jazz with super singer Gloria Turrini. Beautiful vocal performance with very good drummer and pianist. The bar is cozy while the hotel is rather austere.

Staff not available, rude and poorly organized, almost always absent. Long waits for any request.
Doors and windows to change because cold air enters from outside.
Dark rooms.
No indication to find the room number.
The key to the rooms (only one per room) is heavy and stops constantly.
We were very disappointed: a five star is another thing.

Beautiful hotel set in the central of Venice next to a local church and gondola ride.

Environment and atmosphere always up to par. Jazz evenings are much appreciated.

The rooms need more power outlets and the elevators are slow and tiny. But the location is great and all the staff were very friendly.

Have been staying in and off in this hotel since 1997. Never seen it this bad. Location is great but the place really needs a serious investment. My bath leaked everyday. The door of my room came off and they had to leave me with black tape on my bathtub. Oh by the way the window shutters had been removed and they not realise till I told them I would like some darkness early in the morning. Guest services people do not care and they apparently have no Dijon mustard! The place used to be well run when owned by a family. Elliot and a UK fund have bought the place. It is clear that expenses were cut to fatten the sale price and the place is a disaster. Not worth it. There is far better in Venice.

this hotel is absolutely amazing. Right when we arrived they welcomed us up to our room personally. They gave us a map with everywhere we should visit. The hotel is located in the most prime location. Close to the boat bus and everything.
During our stay it was my birthday and we didn't even mention anything but they noticed from my passport and surprised us with champagne in our room on the evening of my birthday.
The restaurant is delicious along with the buffet breakfast. The service is first class. We could not have asked for a better stay. Even the maids were amazing. The view from the patio in the morning while drinking coffee was unbeatable.

One word to describe this hotel is opulent! It is a fantastic hotel, yes it is expensive, but it was worth it, the bar was excellent, good range of cocktails! Nothing beats sitting in the sun next to the canals with great views, a cocktail and my better half! The staff are very polite and professional, the room was quite small but that wasn't a problem, the room had great views of the city!

Centrally located with a terrace restaurant by the waterside. Really delicious food and I would say make sure you have sunglasses as although it's not so warm in October, the sun was shining! The hotel bedrooms splits into two sides, one is very traditional Venetian style and the other is modern &a contemporary style. There's also a rooftop bar here that's only open in the summer which has gorgeous views of Venice.

We had the pleasure of having lunch and enjoying an amazing tasting menu !! In closing, instead of the classic lemonchelo, they gave us a unique house vodka!

These people from the front desk to the breakfast help to the bartender are so helpful and great. They go out of there way and treat you like family.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the service is very intimate and the dining venue is very beautiful.

Everything is perfect, from service to the bedroom, if indeed it can be defined, given that everything there amazes, even the rich man at the most accustomed luxury, who experiences contempt in silence, must remain in silence, if the nervous host does not wants to wake up.

Magnificent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast on the Roof top very abundant and varied, the only flaw is the TV too small !!!

Impeccable! We couldn't believe that we had a room that size and quality for the low rate we got. The staff paid attention to every detail and were warm and friendly. The complimentary breakfast each morning was fantastic and the location was the best. Off the Grand Canal and right by St Mark's square and high end shops such as Dior and Prada.

The breakfast was the most delicious hotel in Italy, so I couldn't eat it outside because it was winter, but when I went out, I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery with the cathedral right behind, and the staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. It was spacious and comfortable with a bath.

We booked for our 10 aniversary a superior suite with view to small "canal". Specially the Il Redentore weekend. We rent a boat-taxi to arrive there. When we arrive to the Bauer Palazzo dock, the counterman said me that we dont have booking on the palazzo. We have to go to reception of the hotel.More than 100 meters ago.

When we ask at counter the kindly counter woman said us that dont worry that we will be hosted at palazzo. She gave us the room 557 at hotel. A old decorated spacy room, with a view to small inner courtyard.(see photos) With a very big structure over my window that make the room really dark.How can become a new decorated venetian style room in a old decorated and dark room with this criminal view.

We booked in advance and I presume that they book our room higher price and gave us this one. Staying in Palazzo you can access to diferent parts like settimo cielo restaurant on this way we can not access there.
A important celebration becomes in a not confortable accomodation.

Paying 600 euros night you should give the accomodation booked. Please dont do this, the 5 starts hotels dont do it, it is more typical for a small town road motel.

We chose this hotel to end our honeymoon. For price we thought it was expensive, but it was a 5 star and the occasion deserved it. When arriving the hotel hall is unpredictable and we were impatient to see our room. What an unpleasant surprise, they took us to a building called Casanova to an apartment overlooking a wall, upholstered from the 2nd century and very old and old furniture. We claim that it was not the ones that sold us and they told us that if we wanted something better we would have to pay a supplement. We feel cheated and cheated. Necessary attention, cleaning, facilities and service. I do not recommend it or as a passing motel

Classic Venice hotel 2 minutes from Piazza Sant Marco. Very spacious family room with 2 bathrooms. Venetian style. The staff is attentive and friendly. A good option if you travel to Venice.

"Going to Bauer" it has always been synonymous with Go to Venice. Campo San Moise, is literally a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco and when you get lost around the streets is a relief to be in front of the baroque church rampant. As it happens everywhere in Venice, before you get to the rooms you walk endless, but exciting, galleries. The corner room on the second floor offers a dreamlike view of Punta della Dogana and the Palladian Chiesa della Salute (Opera del Longhena). Breakfast on the terrace is the most important event of the day. Unparalleled panorama. Fresh salmon and fruit, always our favorites, while you have the opportunity to live fully with the small and diverse and international community of hotel guests. It deserves all possible stars.
If you have time (at least one more night) and want to have a rather different experience, you can orient yourself on the Bauer Giudecca. They think of all them and you find yourself immersed in an environment almost cloistered. Hotel motorboats come to pick you up.

Beautiful location in the center of Venice, a few steps from Piazza San Marco and the ferry stop. Clean and welcoming room. Friendly and qualified staff. Definitely come back.

Great rooms, nice old hotel. Very quiet on a small island with a shuttle boat. Food was not quite ours.

Luxury hotels a little decayed ... would need some tweaking

Very poor customer service. It was just awful hotel staffs to deal with. The worst ever experienced. We checked out and realized that we had left our belonging (no monetary value) in the room. We called in 3 hours and asked for help to retrieve it. No one seemed to care about it and the concierge doesn t even respond to us after numerous email and phone request to check on the our belonging. 5 star hotel? I am not sure how that possible

An excellent Venetian hotel steeped in history. The room itself was stunning with a separate sun terrace and rooms over two floors. It also had a small kitchenette (which was unused), no bottle opener in the room however so bring your own corkscrew/beer key. Breakfast was well done each day with a large buffet selection of continental and cooked options. The hotel itself could not be more ideally placed and is literally a stone's throw from St Mark's Square and all the tourist hotspots.

Fantastic location, friendly stuff, breakfest in front of the sea, as well as the church is breath-tacking. Small gym with stepper, cycle & treadmill, as well as sauna is great.

The wifi didn't work 90% of the time. It would work intermittently on floor 2 and didn't work at all on floor 3. Service was sub-par.
