Wonderful hotel. Perfect location. Only place you can take a water taxi from the airport, train station, cruise port directly to their dock. No lugging suitcases up and down Venice bridges. Very expansive breakfast overlooking the Grand Canal. Gracious service.

The one and only bauer Venice. It gives you a trill all the time you walk trough it. Does not matter if you stay there it just has a vibe. Check out the grand canal facing terrace. Enjoy the bartender specials. Be ready to party in the small nigh club if its open for special events. Enjoy the luxery of the hotel and of the rooftop...if you are a guest

This luxury hotel is just a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco. The bar on the 7th floor offers a wonderful view over the city. Breakfast is served overlooking the church of San Gregorio. The gondolas depart directly from the house. The interior impresses with Art D co furniture. All this has its price.

Excellent service, according to the level of luxury. We were in the Casanova apartments, in a building separate from the Hotel. They are very well pq even have a small kitchen-office. To find a catch: if you wanted to go to the gym you had to cross the street to go to the main building, and pay 25 euros per day

What to say of this hotel that is impressive the views especially in the breakfast that are practically on the Grand Canal the attention to the deralle from the first moment that you enter even my girlfriend they gave him a bouquet of flowers typical of the area for being the day of the woman whenever we return we will repeat

Wonderful hotel. There are two parts of the same hotel, Bauer and Palazzo, the interiors and the views of Palazzo are better. In the "new Bauer" part the rooms could be very small. But the most important that if you stay at Palazzo part your breakfasts are held on the top floor with great open air terrace with breathtaking views . Nevertheless the terrace on the ground floor where every guest could take the breakfast or visit the bar with Santa Maria Salute and Guidecca panorama is very pleasant as well.

We just returned from three days at the Bauer Palazzo in Venice and will certainly be back. Our room was incredible facing the Grand Canal and the service was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The location seemed perfect for what we were looking for as I was out early almost every day to photograph the city. Loved this hotel and highly recommend.

Great hotel that has retained its old stately charm without patina.
Rooms in sensational condition, best breakfast in a long time and the whole with a view of the Grand Canal. Certainly one of the three most beautiful breakfast terraces in Venice.
Great concierge service with great restaurant recommendations.
A trip through a hotel couldn't be better accompanied. Therefore, without hesitation, 5 highly deserved stars

Beautiful old style hotel, conveniently located a short distance from St Marco Piazza. Also right next to the gondola launches so very easy to get that romantic ride. Lovely designed suites, very comfortable beds. Highly recommend

We stayed in 552 and the room view was excellent. The location is the key for this hotel. Cookies, wine, and fresh fruits welcomed us in our one night junior suite. The concierge Angelica was very friendly and resourceful. You can t get closer to the heart of Venice than this location. My favorite was the mattress! After jet lag and over 8 hours travel I did not expect the mattress to be this good. Book your water taxi in advance and you will receive pick up from a closest venue to this hotel.

While I would normally rate this higher, as everything except the air conditioning is absolutely deserving of 5 stars, I have to take off 2 stars because of the insufficient climate controls.

Our room had two temperatures: uncomfortably hot, and utterly stifling. We were unable to use the thermostat (which didn't even show temperature, just "relatively cold" and "relatively hot") to lower our room temperature to something reasonable.

The beds are luxurious, the hotel is creatively socially responsible, the staff are wonderful, the rooms are uncomfortably hot.

Really as a five star hotel!

Really as a five star hotel!
It has a lot of variety s at breakfast and staff is helpful. When you eat dinner outside, you see water and boats until it is dark Very good Seeing. You can get gondola rides at the hotel and the places are 10 minutes walking. Very good experience to tryout. Room is beautiful and all supplies is provided. If you sleep in the afternoon, the come to clean your room while you are out in the evening. Food and coffee are at the hotel and easy to get. It is a 15 minute walk. Very good 2 night experience in 2019.

Rude, entitled staff- zero customer service. An arrogant member of staff who felt he was superior to anyone within the hotel and a surely attitude when putting down at 50 bill for a single round. Steer clear!

The charm of these historic hotels is beyond doubt. What is certain is that the years are felt for this structure.
In my humble opinion the price of the room is 95% paid off by breakfast on the terrace overlooking the grand canal.
Always attentive service and very kind staff.
For those who love the style of the past, I would say an unmissable structure.

Magnificent service, a team very attentive to its customers! American comfort in a legendary Venetian palace! The room on the grand canal was perfect! The view over the Ghent canal also and the terrace on the top floor offers one of the best views of Venice! The can lunch on the other hand is not of much interest but the Restaurant and the bar are fantastic for spending some time outside! I highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing Hotel, and the staff even more!!!. Had my wedding at the Bauer Hotel last month, the views from the Settimo Cielo can't compare. The Staff, especially Anna Fogo, was more than helpful and accommodate my tight schedule and my painful wedding planner.

We stayed at the canal suite, even tho not the exact room we had booked (sadly for the photos), was spacious, immaculate clean and just beautiful. Even tho the not the modern building that some people complaint (hello is venice!!) all works including the AC and great water pressure in the shower.

The dinner of my wedding was amazing and the cake a beautiful surprise. Can't recommend enough the Bauer Hotel for a special occasion, or to make any holidays special

Nice hotel, right next to Piazza San Marco. They have a main building, and a building around the corner. The on around the corner is a little noisy. But the staff is very friendly, and the hotel is nice.

Way too expensive for the offer. Booked through Amex so was expecting a luxury experience. No spa. No immediate gym access. Limited view of a small canal and a small balcony but it rained in December so we didn t to out there. The concierge was deceptive. When asked which restaurant we should go for dinner he suggested the hotel restaurant with a view. In the winter you see nothing but your own reflection. In the summer you May get a nice table on the terrace which overlooks the canal which could be nice. But small pasta dishes go for 28 euro here. Made it seem like we needed reservation and we were the ONLY people in The restaurant. And there is a reason: the price to product ratio is bad. You can better food for les elsewhere. My 10th anniversary ruined by bad lighting. If you have money to burn on bad facilities come here. If you want a chic place that hop and caters to couples under the age of 60, I would recommend another part of town or at least another hotel. The only silver lining is its proximity to San Marco, etc. But for us any nice hotel on the Grand Canal would have been fine and I would have expected a view of that canal for the price we paid to stay here. Overall the hotel is here to get as much money out of you as possible without offering any of the modern amenities a hotel of this stature offers anywhere else in the world.

Great location in the center of everything. Our room was spacious and had beautiful views of the city. Breakfast was delicious every morning. You can choose to take it in the canal-side restaurant or the rooftop lounge. Both have incredible views.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. My only complaint was that we did not find most of the concierges' restaurant suggestions to be good. That said, their suggestion of Vini da Arturo, was our favorite meal.

All together, it was a great home away from home for the week and we would recommend it to our friends and family.
