We went for my birthday, which is near Christmas. The restaurant as all are that time of year was packed. It felt has if we were having lunch with the couple next to us. Then the waiter hit my husband with the dessert trolley and knocked into him we on 2 further occasions, no apology. While the view is lovely, the food ok the atmosphere was terrible. There are so many good restaurants in London my advise would be to go elsewhere! Very disappointing!

Excellent evening at the OXO Tower Restaurant this week which exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent, the service was very good and the interior was interesting and comfortable.

For a restaurant with a view, I would recommend the OXO Tower. Whilst not as high as the Shard, the restaurant is far better than Oblix, which is the Shard's modern European equivalent.

I was here on a work dinner so I cannot comment on the prices as I didn't see them on our menu. The drinks menu was relatively standard for a restaurant of this kind with a good cocktail and spirit list and an extensive wine list. The only negative is that they had ran out of the gin I wanted.

I will definitely return!

The food was barely ok.

The food was barely ok.
Though the view is magnificent it is better in the drinks area that in the restaurant one.
The service was ok but not top class.
Overall a good place but just for the view.

Went once last Summer and won't be going back. Staff seemed to have a problem with us wanting to sit outside on the balcony (which was empty bar one table). When we were seated they seemed to forget about us, and I had to go and find someone to take our order. Steak was slightly over cooked, which would be forgivable if they were charging Harvester prices, but they don't, and veggies were luke warm. We didn't stick around for dessert, so asked for the bill, and almost an hour later, still hadn't taken our money! Mediocre food, awful service and overrated venue.

Professional service, nice dining ambience and a great view of St pauls. Food and drink are both exquisite and delicious. Super tender pork belly, John dory and steak. Perfect for a romantic date meal or just for drinks.

It's a good restaurant with an average menu and great views. It's a bit of a paint to go in and out especially when busy as you need to take one of 2 lifts. I thought it was a bit overpriced but you do pay for the location. Not sure what the rooftop garden is like.

Great Meal and views, however, waiters always seem to be in rush.

They also presented a disappointing offering for Birthday guests: I visited to celebrate both my parents birthday's, one of whom had turned 60. Their gift of 1 scoop of ice cream fell extremely short of my expectations for such an occasion and expensive meal.

My expectations had more than likely built up over the years from the recommendations of the OXO Tower, but it just didn't quite live up to it.

We had pre booked and arrived and we were escorted into the already full bar to grab a drink and had to stand in the most awkward places. We then went back to the front of house asking why our table wasn't ready and we were informed they had a table at the back ready but we're making one up at the front which had better views. We decided to wait and when we were called for our table we realised it was NOT worth the wait. We were sandwiched in between so many other tables and were nowhere near the windows to see the "view" clearly. Please note this is about the Brasserie and not the main restaurant. It was very clostrophobic, extremely noisy because of the amount of people packed into the small area and the open kitchen and decor felt very dated. To top it off our table wasn't cleaned properly and still had the previous customers drink stains all over.

We ordered cocktails, one came with the set three course menu and was pretty nice. We then ordered a second from the menu and were disappointed, it felt like they had skimped on the alcohol. The starter then came and picked us up. Tasty-ish dish that got me a little excited again about the visit. The mains were also nice, my partners dish was great but mine was slightly on the small side. The desserts were the stars though and I wish I just had three of those.

We were lucky about the set menu and the prices. You get what you pay for, plus some. I would never order off the a la carte it's way overpriced.

Overall the food was good but the atmosphere and service do not justify the high prices. One to tick off the list but I won't be returning. (Visit - 25/01/2015 Dinner Service)

Came here with my partner and found the food to be really rich in taste and quite oily. The price doesn t match the food quality.

Really good bustling atmosphere and good to come here with a few friends but if you re looking for better food there s better places in London for the same price.

Celebrated my 40th birthday here and I couldn't have asked for more, everything was perfect. The staff are attentive and friendly, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere can't be beaten. We are definitely going to go back!

We only went in for one drink, but the views and atmosphere (especially friendly staff) meant that we stayed for another and then decided to have a meal.
Charging for bread and butter feels like a cheap move, but the two mains we had with sides were both excellent in every respect.
Coupled with the live music, it was a lovely, impromptu experience.

A bit noisy, but a great view, and they served us double quick before a show at the NT a few minutes away. Food and service fine. One grumble was finding your way up to the place if you've never been there before. Find the lifts half way down the building by the river.

We ate here Sat 27 June to celebrate my 40th birthday- Lady at the desk very pleasant and wished me happy birthday(we'd mentioned it in our reservation)- the guys behind the bar in the restaurant very very good- lovely cocktails- lady who showed us to our table said my dress looked nice- all good so far....unfortunately service not good. We had asked for one of the best tables but were seated next to the waiters 'station' where bread/cutlery/glasses are kept- -surely a best table is alongside the window with a view?? or outside on a lovely evening?? you'd think you would get better service being so near to the waiters but the opposite. The food was amazing and so sorry that front of house let the chefs down. We had scallops, monkfish, Turbot all beautifully cooked- But too many faults with service and I'm cross we paid the service charge

1) We said yes to still water- and were given a tiny bottle? We had to ask for a glass for my partner?
2) No waiter introduced themselves- no specials mentioned-were there any? no one ran through the menu/wine list
3) we were offered bread from a nice selection- but given one tiny piece- you had to ask for another !
4) Some waiters are in aprons, some in blue shirts and then a handful scurrying around in suits looking all important but actually not being attentive at all (well at least not us)- a lot of talking between the men in suits but no action
5) No one asked us if any part of our 3 courses were ok? -No personality at all from the waiters we had

Slight confusion in how to enter the building as not much signage up stating where the restaurant was. The customer service in there is really what makes the whole experience as well as the divine view, especially at sunset. Very clean inside with frequent deep cleaning of the toilets which makes you feel at ease. The food was very tasty, especially the Duck Breast. Not overpriced.

Impeccable welcome, refined dishes, superb views, impeccable service. The restaurants Toulouse can review their bases, I think Biben instead of the capitol .... who welcomes you by making you want to turn around.

I absolutely love the OXO TOWER which I have frequented so many times over the years just because of the excellent atmosphere.
The layout of this restaurant and often live music (Jazz whenever I ve been) and the people there, including staff, just make your dining experience all that more enjoyable.
I ve had an intimate surprise birthday held for me at OXO & the staff catered for it beautifully, I was so overwhelmed!!!

Although menu prices are a little high and food portions are quite small, which I did expect, as it is the OXO TOWER & does need to live up to its name. However don t let that put you off because it certainly hasn t with me. I love it here :-)

The periphery view from the top of the tower overlooking the glorious skyline of the Thames is breathtaking, or even dining out on the balcony on a warm summers night, whilst randomly being sent over a bottle of the most expensive champagne from a table of unknown lovely gentlemen, just made one of my many nights at the OXO perfect.

Visited brassiere on Tuesday lunchtime despite mistake made by friend with booking. We sat on veranda overlooking Thames and very nice waitress attended I had pasta dish from lunch menu delicious, rich, creamy, tasty. My friend had the sea bream beautifully cooked and again very tasty. It is quite pricey but food was good, ambience great and cocktails good. Lovely relaxing lunch. One blip garden type metal chairs on veranda not very comfortable.

This is a good place to take friends and relatives that are visiting. You can sit outdoors and look over the Thames. Admittedly not the most amazing view but still enjoyable on a sunny day. The food is very good (traditional English food with a bit of flair) and we had a lovely time. Friendly wait staff.

The restaurant has nice and cozy interior, very friendly and welcoming staff, an amazing view towards Thames river and St. Paul s cathedral and the food is delicious. I would definitely come again!

Fabulous food with friendly and attentive staff. I highly recommend Oxo Restaurant. Each time I have been, it has been well worth it. I don't give 5 stars lightly but the mixture of food, staff and ambience deserve it.

Very special treat but completely worth it. Try to get by window as view amazing but you're very close to next table and if they're in between you and the window it gets a bit awkward!! Fab experience though which I'll save up to repeat!
