Wow .. great facility.. such a diverse range of art exhibits. So accessible with great services. Also, went to view the Archibald exhibit.

Beautiful historical place with priceless paintings
Indigenous Australian collection is definitely worth seeing. The museum's physical space is impressive but the remaing collection observed is not worth a visit.

extensive collection of free permanent exhibits (there's an interesting collection of porcelain from England in front of the library that no one seems to be able to find), plus rotating exhibits. personally I think their rotating exhibits are a little better than MCA's. reasonable price.

Words cannot describe the beauty of this place! This place holds more traditional art but every room was a treat! The contemporary art side was really cool. I cannot say enough about this Art Gallery! Exquisite art and sculptures! I could almost live in a place like that!
Admission is free, and some special exhibitions require tickets. Close to the Royal Botanic Gardens, interested friends can play together.

It was magnificent. I Absolutely enjoyed it, the displays were wonderful.
Lots of free galleries and paid galleries. Constantly changing, so there is never a dull moment. The parking underneath is pretty reasonable price too
The art is incredible. One of the best art galleries I have ever visited. A must see! The walk through the Royal Gardens is a moment to remember. The art is lovely and historical.

Loved this Art Gallery. It's at the heart of Sydney's busy center surrounded by a big park and looking out over Sydney's skyline. The gallery itself is housed in a magnificent building. The art was amazing and it's definitely worth seeing
Definitely try to make a free lecture on Wednesday afternoon and stay for the free music Wednesday nights.
Although parking is difficult, it is a museum that citizens can easily enjoy. It seems that you are paying much attention as you look older. Although it looks old, recent works are also on display. However, Asian goods were not popular and not very interesting.

We saw the special exhibition of Dutch Masters. The quality of the displayed paintings was top notch. As always we wonder why such top shelf stuff is only afforded a rabit warren of a space. Due to its justifiable popularity it was often hard to veiw some of the paintings and the situation was made worse by the generous offering of free audio guides. Please place these sort of treasures in a more deserving space.
Always love to visit this place, however some improvements can be done easily. The foyer needs more lighting & locker area is dull. Best time to visit? Of course weekdays. Don t forget to explore the surrounding areas to complete your day out!
Large museum with varied collections and important pieces. Beautiful architecture of both the original building and the modern annex. Good restaurant and cafeteria
New exhibitions every now and again, creative activities for the kids, recommended!

For so long the poorer cousin to Melbourne and Canberra, the Art Gallery of New South Wales' collection has grown substantially in recent years courtesy of generous private bequests and the fundraising programme of the Art Gallery Society. A spacial reorganisation has resulted in a revitalised and visually spectacular gallery complimented by regular international exhibitions with minimal disruption to the permanent collection. Current highlights include 'Nude' from the Tate Gallery featuring Rodin's 'The Kiss', the Lewis collection which includes works by Freud, Bacon, Soutine and Picasso, as well as a significant and very recent Majolica (ceramic) bequest. There's never a bad time to visit the Gallery, but now would be perfect.

The art collection in the [New South Wales Museum of Art] in Sydney is rich and worth a visit. Don't miss the artistic literati.
Always a pleasure to have late breakfast and leisurely wander to AGNSW. Got to see the Archibald and Wynne and Sulman prize exhibitions this year. Love to visit the ATSI portion of the gallery every time just to get centred again.
The poorer cousin of the NGA & NGV, but still a sentimental favourite. Big plans for expansion soon, so we'll see...
Saw the Heaven and earth in Chinese art exhibit, had a glass of wine and sweet potatoe soup in the Cafe, struck up conversation with a Canadian tourist - what a GREAT day out!!

Fantastic building and location in Sydney...1st time visit (after living here for 6+ years) - will definitely go back. The current Hermitage collection is a real treat, but most impressed with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait artwork display

The building is beautiful and characteristic, the exhibition is spacious, and in some places you can sit down and enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window, and there is a restaurant. The parking space at the door is limited.
The Australian collection is rotated often enough to warrant repeat visits.

One of the best building in sydney .I go to the archibold every year with the same people every year it's great.
We visited the Art Gallery to view the Archibald prize winner. Very crowded as some had complimentary tickets. I enjoyed the Archies young finalists although the winner is not chosen until after exhibition. Could not get close enough to taste their cuisine although it looked good.

Great place to go, much is free. Art After Hours on Wednesdays is always a wonderful mix, often surprising, unexpected and fun. Highly recommend visiting and even joining.
I love spending time here. Its convenient to be able to choose either to pay for a special exposition or to stay in the free ones. Also having two options to eat its great!

Love this space, especially the Melanesian and Aboriginal artworks which are always on show. Gorgeous place to spend some time and a definite must for an art-loving visitor. Affordable cafe.
