We had a very beautiful time, moving, buzzing, running, sweet, and God is necessary to visit

Great price and great entertainment for an hour.

If you are in Amsterdam you would be foolish not to try it.

If you are already in a dungeon, the visit is only partially worthwhile. The shows are at a good level. The entrance is quite expensive.

Really good! Such good actors and as all rooms were good!!

Great "Interactive" attraction. Had an amazing time and a lot of laughs. All narration was in English. You should check out the online discounts or the Hop-on, Hop-off discounts (you can get at the bus starting point as we did) to find ticket combinations for other museums/attractions you may want to see. We also went to Madame Tussauds.

Is a cool attraction it is not too scary but with a group definitely exciting! I can only recommend to anyone.

I expected more from this visit. I paid 22 and sure the life actors did play in a good way to create an interaction with the audience. Maybe I expected sth more thrilling.

Very highly recommended. Its price is high 22 with 19.50 discount. But it should be said that the visit lasts almost an hour, you get scared and laugh alike and they are quite careful. Of course, if your English is not very fluent, save yourself going, if you don't find out, you won't laugh.

Great way of learning the story of Amsterdam and some of the cruelties that happened there.

The Amsterdam Dungeon offers a guided interactive tour through the different historical periods of Amsterdam. It is mainly actors telling stories with minor interaction from the audience. Most interaction is verbal.

They have created a very gloomy and dark atmosphere, which suits the storytelling and the different periods well.

Come alone, with a friend or two or a larger group. You will be sent in groups of around 15 people.

It is a great time with lots of fun, storytelling and occasional jump scares.

Woooow! This is a must visit for anyone who comes to Amsterdam!

Not as scary as we imagined, but well designed. Unfortunately, my partner couldn't understand much because he doesn't speak English well.

A scary-beautiful tourist attraction in Amsterdam. Unfortunately everything is told in English only. Those who do not master this language at a high level will not be able to follow the action in some places. One more reason not to bring small children here.

Creepy ... but most planned jump scares predictable ... cool experience but not really creepy!

Good fun! Been to a few of these attractions now, always worth a visit.

Any ... I had presented it to me much more interesting and complex according to the information and pictures on the net. Only in English was not so cheap for the younger children (10). Would have translated, but the actors quickly get down to their text and pay little attention. Only the "judge" was really good and responded individually to the different people. Overall, too expensive for what is on offer.

A wonderful, very frightening but fun experience, a very beautiful memory

It's not one of the most scary ones. But, if you're into this kind of things...

Ha! If you like campy fun, this is the place. The sets are done very well, the actors are actually quite good - not horrible at all - and the show lasts well over an hour. There are several good scares and truly creepy moments to be had. There are a few flights of stairs - down only - strobe lights, and moments of total darkness - if any of that is a concern for people in your group. Plus frights of course. But that's all I'm giving away. Enjoy!

Different experience, but with a high cost for what one has ...

We were satisfied, the showmen were highly motivated and committed. The effects were really great! Fear and terror are guaranteed!
However, if you already know the dungeons (in our case, that in Hamburg), this will reduce the horror and surprise effect a little!

Well, this is a spectacular show. Unlike the other Dungeons, here the focus is on the theatrics. The actors are absolutely wonderful and very very talented! It's more about the hilarity of horror than horror itself. Great way to kill some time.

That's fun!
There are great similarities to the dungeon in Berlin, so I would have liked a little more individual horror. But overall very successful and the employees are apparently also very motivated to bring the show across as intensively as possible (in this case in English). Definitely recommendable, especially if you are going to such a dungeon for the first time.
Note: Switch off your mobile phone, smartwatch, etc. so that the display does not disturb the mood!

Awesome experience. Even though some actors its pretty obviously a dutch/english accent instead of a good english one. I very much enjoyed their dynamic and the compliments i received at times on my outfit

Nice place and very friendly ... explains the history of Amsterdam in the historical period of witches and black magic ... there is a path to follow with lots of explanation and fearful effects
The team is very competent and explain everything in detail ... (explanation in English)
I recommend it to all tourists who visit Amsterdam ...

This was awesome, it's an interactive theatrical tour through the seedy history of Amsterdam. Loved it.

Initially hesitant we decided to enter. Having the I Amsterdam city card we received a discount. It was a wonderful experience. All the very talented actors especially the judge. The journey lasts more than an hour and is told in English. Try it .... to break museum visits and do something fun. Suitable for young people.

Great acting. Discounted tickets if you visit madam Tussauds just up the road. Highly recommended visiting this if in Amsterdam.

Super nice scenery, the acting is top !! On the other hand, my boyfriend doesn't speak too much English and I had to translate a lot of things for him. Not always obvious. So if you understand English it's to do otherwise go your way.
Getting people involved is super cool too! So again if you don't understand any English ...
No big scares if some cowards like me would like to venture there !!

Great acting a lot of fun not as scary or jumpy as I thought it would be but there were some moments that do make you jump

If you are in the mood for this, you'll enjoy it. It's mostly 'kinda scary-ish' historic theatrics for youngsters. But adults can enjoy this too, so don't be scared! The design of the rooms was always cool. Best to not look up what this is about... It's more enjoyable if you don't have any idea what will happen... staff at entrance, photo shop and souvenir shop were friendly. The 'confusing' room is supercool btw! And the actors were pretty good... I'm from Belgium, my friend is from the Usa and we entered with a friendly Chinese woman (who we talked to in the waiting line). I realized only after leaving the dungeon, why we were grouped in a jail in the beginning, haha, so weird I didn't realize that... Wanna know why ? Come try the Amsterdam Dungeon! For fans of the theatrics of the Tower of Terror in Disneyland Paris....Thats all I'm going to say! Oh yeah, the full experience takes about an hour, be prepared for that...

Actually, there are only 2 points we did not like. The long wait despite ticket purchase online and that it is in English and Dutch.
But that was to be expected that it is not in German in another country.

Nice place to visit with friends and family too. Fun time..

Had a fun visit at the dungeon. Teaches history of Amsterdam through plays with real life actors.

Good actors and actresses that interact a lot with the public. Interesting scenarios about Amsterdam history with a lot of fun. Is not 5 stars because I was expecting it longer.

Had experience in English, which added to the atmosphere. Actors were fun and everything was well thought out. Too bad the rollercoaster was gone.

It's OK if you have time to kill but wouldn't be top of my too list. For city so old there wasn't must history despite the advertising. Acting was good through.

Very well thought out, great actors with good improvisation skills. It's a fun and interactive experience, would recommend to everyone.

Very nice set up outing. With coupons, it was also very affordable. Definitely fun to do when you are in Amsterdam.
