The American Ale House Review

Great food and drinks. Pricey for State College, but worth it.

I would rate 5/5 for just the food and drinks and the ambience. However, service time was so slow that by the time food arrived at our table, I wasn't sure if the food really tasted good or it was out of sheer hunger that I found it good. It took them a while to take food orders and even longer to serve the food.

I would have gone there again had it not been for the excruciatingly painful wait time. :(

We love seeing Dom on Thursday nights and the atmosphere in the piano bar is awesome.

Fantastic atmosphere, excellently eclectic menu, live jazz is phenomenal. Can't wait to try out the piano bar. This place is a gem!

The food and beer in this place is absolutely amazing. It can get pretty busy in the weekends. I also like their Sunday brunch menu.

Wings were great. Service was great. Cowboy sandwich and Bison burger were also very good. Also had the potato soup which was good.

Love the Ale House, it's our favorite local restaurant and love the atmosphere. Highly recommend it but get a table in the piano bar area so you can order off the seafood bar.
