We have stayed at the Alexander before so it was a no-brainer to use it for our wedding block! The nice thing is they on't charge you for rooms that don't get filled! Many other hotels will make you pay for the rooms that didn't get reserved! They allowed us to do pictures around the hotel after the ceremony and they are gorgeous! They even made sure myself and the groom were on different floors to minimize the chances of us seeing each other! The night before we rented the Platt99 bar for a Welcome Party. The food was delicious, the cocktails were refreshing and the beer was ice cold! They were a pleasure to work with and everything was fantastic!

The Alexander is an incredible hotel for great art and atmosphere. The food and kitchen staff are the best in the city. It's a quick walk to just about everything and guest services staff is incredibly helpful. Beautiful lobby.

The Alexander Hotel is magnificent. I would advise anyone considering an upscale Hotel in Indianapolis to consider the Alexander Hotel. The staff is very professional and friendly. The facilities are immaculately clean. The food every corner is amazing. I have seen the rooms and they're very nicely decorated with comfortable beds. If you're coming for an NFL game make sure you book early because it's the nicest hotel nearby to Lucas Oil Stadium.

Great staff. They are very friendly and helpful. Their restaurants aren't the greatest compared to other hotels but there is plenty of other places to eat.

Rooms are modern feeling. Free wifi, nice bathroom/shower. Bed is on the firm side.

The Alexander is by far the nicest hotel downtown. It's not the most expensive nor is it the tallest oh, but it has the best staff, amazing artwork, Immaculate restrooms both public and private. The food that is served there alone is worth the trip. And it's not in the middle of downtown so you can exit downtown without too much hassle if that's what you want to do but it's only a couple blocks from the middle of downtown if you need to go there. And it's right across the street from the YMCA so you get a nice workout. They're developing more stuff there now so who knows how big is going to get. I probably won't even be able to afford to go to Alexander soon it's going to be so nice.

The hotel atmosphere when your first walk in is perfect. There are beautiful decorations in every corner. However, that s where the beauty ends. The room we stayed in was disgusting. The were stains on the sink, in the bed, and on some of the furniture. The bar service was extremely slow. We waited over 30 minutes for two glasses of wine. I was no where near pleased with our stay. The only reason I m giving two stars is for the people I met while waiting forever for our drinks. Thank you to those people that made our expensive stay a little bit enjoyable. Nonetheless, you pay $200+ for a dirty room, poor customer service, and beautiful decor.

I was at the Alexander to attempt to resolve an issue someone was having with their wifi and using our VPN. The staff was very friendly and fully engaged with assisting the customer in finding a solution.

Very nice the only down side is the parking fee 28 a night and the breakfast buffet is overrated and experience (go to Yolk instead). As the hotel goes it is very nice the beds are a little firm but they feel really good the rooms are very nice waterfall showers I will definitely stay again I will just find somewhere else to park

The rooms are very nice. They were spacious, the bed was comfortable. Room service did an excellent job cleaning. My only complaint was that they took a key that I left in my room to keep the power running so my electronics could charge

I stayed here and it was the worst hotel stay ever. Bath towels had pink gel fingernail polish in them. Toilet was broken. Toe nails in a pile on the night stand from the previous guest. Drinking glasses had not been cleaned as both of them had heavy toothpaste stains in them. The shower had a barcode sticker in the shower floor. If the shower had been cleaned. No way anyone could have missed it. The most sickening is that they don t use mattress pads like other hotels. The mattress was urine soaked all over. Most upsetting is that when I got out of the shower a man was walking into my room. His response was I thought nobody was in here . Make me wonder if he was coming in to see what he could steal.

I stayed at this hotel for one night. Nice room with a full set of kitchen appliances. The space was clean and well maintained, and the staff helpful. An attached parking garage made getting my luggage into the building a breeze. I forgot to print out an important document before the trip and the hotel provided me with a computer and printer which was a huge relief. A very good experience overall.

The Alexander seems new to the neighborhood, but it stands out for the better. All of the hotel is full of art and modern decor, which is stunning. Friendly staff and accommodations made the trip very enjoyable, especially paired with a lovely room. While it's a bit away from the heart of the city, it's close enough and worth the stay.

The location is ideal as it is located 10-15 minutes walking distance to the city center. The hotel's interior is beautiful (or I should say colorful). I was staying at the extended stay room type, so the room is spacious. It even has a washing and drying machine in my room. This makes the stay more comfortable/convenient.

The downside is that it is closed to the railroad, as such sometimes will woke up by the train. Also, the weather is wet and windy during my stay, perhaps the management can place an umbrella in the room. The breakfast in The Market is good but with few selection. Hopefully can have more variety.

Overall, I am satisfied with the stay. Oh ya, the staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Friendly and helpful staff, well decorated lobby area. Nicely located to get around downtown. Unfortunately the rooms themself were disappointing. The towels were dirty and the shower head was broken, spewing water everywhere. The shower door didnt seal and water got all over the bathroom. The ac was really loud and kept me us at night. Attached coffee/cocktail bar has good drinks and the deck is nice in the evening.

The selection of drinks were nice, but the service was mediocre. They didn't seem to like that our group was having a good time. She couldn't handle our willingness to talk to her. It seems our questions about the different drinks annoyed her in a way.

We had our work Christmas party at the hotel. The staff was courteous and the building was very clean. The food was also excellent. I would recommend the Alexander for many social events.

Fantastic service, beautiful artwork, clean sheets, and great scenery. Came here to get laid but left here with wonderful memories. Will definitely be back if I ever need a last minute place to have drunk sex comfortably.

I just spent over an hour and forty five minutes trying to book a room for me and my wife's 20 year anniversary using our rewards points and got the complete run around with the hotel staff.
If you go to the web Site for The Alexander it clearly has the locations to sign in to use your rewards points. When I first called the hotel, a woman named Tonya told me I had to call Wydham in order to use the rewards points, that she could not do it. I call Wydham, and they get everything booked gave me the price and then they had to call the hotel to get them to release the room. They would NOT release the room. I called back to the hotel and spoke with a women named Dominick? I asked for the manager, she stated that he was out, and that they don't honor rewards points. I asked her they why is it on your web site, she asked me was I on the correct web site, I told her yes, then she asked me to send her a screen shot of the website, so she can see what she can do,( by the way Dominick is NOT the manager) gives me the email address, so I send it to her, mean time she is checking to see if the manager is back, by placing me on hold, every five minutes and coming back with a different statement. when she saw that I was not giving up on the fact that it is on the website, she asked me, would I like to speak to the Manager! HUH!!! yes maam, I sure would. needless to say, he was the one telling her what to say the whole time. His name is Jason.
I don't think I will ever be able to tell you how my stay was at the Alexander because, I never got to stay... oh by the way, this is my 1st ever review, I just could not let this go, and will be seeking further justice.

The hotel is beautiful with spacious rooms. Excellent experience at this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was centrally located. Visually very nice and welcoming environment.

Was in town for business and was completely caught off guard by the construction across the street. At 5:50 am i was woken up by construction workers cutting metal pipes which was right outside my room. I can not understand why the concierge would put me in a room on this side of the building. I called front desk and was told they would move me to an other room. I let them know that this was not necessary as it was my first and last night. The lady then stated to mention this at check out and they would take care of me. Upon checkout the girl asked how my stay was and when told, she could care less and couldn't have been less interested. Ill be staying elsewhere for my next visits.

My mother and I totally splurged on a 1 night stay. We paid $200 a night for 2 nights in June. I wasn't sure it would be worth it. But it totally was. I actually felt this was a LUXURY hotel. Not just in price, not just in furnishing and design, but service and ambiance. Room Service was really good. Loved the menu. The bathroom...omg loved the shower. Loved the furniture. And we had a great view of downtown. They were proudly supportive of Pride (which happened to be during our stay) I like that they celebrate diversity and inclusion. The lobby had a cell phone charging station which I think is very thoughtful and a must in a modern hotel. I find myself looking for charging stations in other hotels but they're not the norm standard yet. I couldn't afford to make this my regular hotel but I'd stay here for special occasions.

Several months ago - around April we stayed at your hotel and had a terrible experience. The issues were very long - from the garage ticket system not working to the staff being unhelplful. Each time we left the garage we had to call your front staff to let us through because the tickets wouldn't work. This was 4 out of 5 days. It was awful.

Next multiple times we asked for coffee mugs calling the downstairs service several times. Not once did we get any help until I went downstairs and asked myself.

Next we asked for wine glasses that were never delivered and went through similar problem as the coffee mugs.

Worst of all we realized on the last day that the room had not been properly cleaned with half eaten food found near the bedside that we had not ourselves eaten earlier. It was absolutely disgusting to know how unclean the place was.

Finally, when we called to complain we felt that our complaint had been heard and that things would be made right by the manager. He initially promised one thing and it turns out that after a week or two it was a bait and switch and he reneged.

I find it offensive and will not plan to come back.

Very expensive. Not even close to worth the price. Furniture is worn. Didn't have toiletries in room and they took their time getting them restocked. Nothing special about rooms Honestly not even in the same league as the Conrad, embassy suites and the Omni in the same area.
