After so many years of hearing of others experiences we finally made it up to the Eyrie. All over the purposes of this review we only went for dinner although we had tried to reserve a room for our particular night it was booked. This really wasn't such a problem for us because we're used to places with good views and more so we were looking for the enjoyment of a good meal in a nice setting. That said we were presented with a front row center seat to a wonderful view of Finlayson arm.
The beverages, appetizers and dinner were wonderful! For our dinner we enjoyed steak with the most amazing roasted potatoes ever! The staff was great and very attentive to our needs without being too encroaching. We were delighted to have a relatively new waitress named Molly who did a spectacular job at making sure we had a wonderful evening! You can tell a lot by an organization by the type of people that work within it, so in our case it speaks a lot for what the Eyrie has to offer you if you come spend a wonderful few nights, or simply dinner at the villa.
Enjoy!

I think it s important to understand that the resort is eclectic and beautiful. The views are breathtaking and the staff we dealt with checking in and out were friendly, professional and understanding. However, I feel like it is important to help others understand a big downfall of the resort which is paper thin walls/ceiling and a night clerk that is not sympathetic or helpful. We came here for my husbands birthday and ended up leaving after the first night because we could not sleep. I want to be clear that there were no parties keeping us a wake just a simple late check in. That s how non-insulated the rooms are. The people above us were just walking around and sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. A call to front desk would offer no solutions but a response of to be honest I ve never heard this complaint before but I guess I ll give them a call . This response is surprising because a simple search of reviews shows others having this same experience. For me, this was a dealbreaker and warrants 1 star because my expectations of a resort experience is peace and quiet; this is nearly impossible when you can hear the conversations above you. There were issues with the restaurant service as well but not enough to go into detail. I will say that the front desk supervisor did sympathize with the experience when we explained we would be checking out early. She did offer us a complimentary upgrade should we ever want to come back (we respectfully declined). We utilized the restaurant, spa and stayed for one evening which turned into $720 for a restless evening, mediocre food service and unfortunate customer relations.

Delicious brunch and an amazing view, what more can you ask for? Fireplace kept us cozy. Excellent service. I had the steak hash and my wife had the pancakes. Both amazing! We will be back for sure.

My company was hired by Villa Eyrie. This was my first time to the resort and I was amazed by the view, scenery and the high level of customer service from every single member of their team. I had the opportunity to eat at their restaurant. I had a hard time choosing because everything sounded delicious. By the time I left I enjoyed quite a few menu items and everything was superb. I can t wait to come back with my wife as a guest of the resort. Thank you all very much.

The moment you walk, in the place is clean and sparkling. The staff at the front greet you and are so personable. The rooms are the perfect romantic escape, that would allow you to stay in all weekend and attain ultimate relaxation or walk the gardens and feel renewed. The food is prestige, with flavours fusing from west to east and the ultimate balance of fresh, clean greens. The staff go out of their way to find out what you specifically need to enjoy your experience. Shout out to Jack in the restaurant for going above and beyond for us during our stay! From the coffee to the robes to the sheets, village Eyrie holds the subtle details to make you feel pampered!

The most amazing views that I've ever seen! Impeccable service, to my great surprise was upgraded to the penthouse suite and that was simply amazing! I would have loved to stay there longer the experience was great. Loved the views from tub!

The small attention to detail is, in my mind, what makes this resort standout from the rest in the region. Nice touch with the coffee and tea selection!

Will definitely be back there next time!

Fabulous views, friendly staff, a gorgeous menu...The Villa Eyrie Resort is a new favorite gem on Vancouver Island.

It is the perfect distance to escape the city and close enough to travel from Cowichan for a picturesque brunch. HIGHLY recommend for a weekend getaway or a wonderful meal for any occasion. You won't leave disappointed.

Keep in mind that some portions may be smaller than you might typically expect as you are paying for quality, flavor, the chefs skills, art, local ingredients and an unbeatable view. Though you will leave satisfied and full, this isn't a cheap meal at Mr. Mikes to gorge yourself. The menu pricing is totally accommodating to all budgets. Take a peek at their online menu!

The Eyrie is a place of relaxation, refinement and passion. Expect to be blown away by good food, wine and an outing to remember.

Our stays at the Villa Eyrie are always so memorable and special. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is delicious and views are stunning. We've enjoyed every stay and every room has always been clean and inviting. It's the perfect getaway that feels like you are at a destination resort far from home. I highly recommend a visit!

5 stars indeed! This little gem of a private resort located in beautiful southern Vancouver Island is worth every penny. The staff were found to be friendly, helpful and professional at every encounter. The room was spotless. The Master suite was spacious and beautiful, and boasted a gigantic deck with amazing view. The "view room" was certainly nicer than a standard room and came with a comfortable deck. The views are truly extraordinary throughout most of the property. We were lucky enough to dine at the in house restaurant, which was spwctacular. The roasted mushroom "benny" was alone worth the trip. Ejoyed a New York strip steak off the dinner menu and it arrived to the table flawless. The drinks are on the higher end of the price range; however, they are masterfully poured and you will not be dissapointed. This "resort in the clouds" is high on my list for a repeat.
