THE LONGEST WAIT TIME! I waited an hour and a half to get in, was told to wait another half hour for a blood test, wait another 20 min for the results, then wait another 15 min for the pharmacy! And this wasn't a big enough deal for all the trouble. Be prepared to take three hours to get done.

NEVER VISIT a sports medicine "doctor". they got all the fresh grad interns coming here to see you, most of them arent experienced enough..i went there 4 times to see sports med doctor, all gave me total bs, then i saw an off campus doctor who completely healed me..

Go there for basic lookup such as cold, flu, fever etc only...

I've done walk-in appointments both times I've gone and was always seen almost immediately. The doctors I saw were REAL doctors, idk what some of these reviews are saying? They were very experienced, easy to talk to, not intimidating, and completely helpful. I needed blood-work done on my second visit, and this was done quickly too. The prescriptions were filled quickly and overall I think they have a great system going on, and the staff really seem to care about the students!

Incompetent, unprofessional, and uncaring staff. My daughter was told she didn t need an antibiotic. Her condition worsened, and she ended up needing a strong antibiotic and steroids. She got that from an urgent care where she was seen by an actual doctor, not a nurse practitioner. In addition, even though she had an appointment, she had to wait for two hours.

terrible doctors! Went in with an ear infection, I've had them dozens of times I know when I have one, they told me it was just allergies. Suffered for 2 weeks until I could go back home and see my regular doctor and what do you know... had an ear infection. Ridiculous is all have to say

Not accommodating at all. Walked in 4 minutes late due to traffic and was told I had to pay a late fee on top of having to wait in the triage for a "walk-in" appointment. I really do not think it was necessary at all for that when any other clinic off campus wouldn't even think anything of a 4 minute delay. Not worth the absolutely horrific wait times and passive aggressive staff. Not welcoming and not understanding at all. So disappointed with my experiences here and I definitley will not be coming back. Save yourself time and hassle by going literally anywhere else.

To shine a spotlight on a particular staff member: Claire Kolb is top-notch. I've never had a more caring and attentive healthcare professional. She's on of those rare ones that always seems like she genuinely cares and has your best interests at heart, and is willing to really work with you to figure out the underlying problem and not just slap a band-aid on and call it good. The healthcare field could use more people like her. She's a 5-star provider for sure, and I can't recommend her enough!

Overall my experiences with Beutel have always been fairly positive. The staff members are nice; wait times can be a bit long on certain days but that's to be expected with how many students they serve.

Went here twice, saw different "doctors" both times. First occasion was for the flu. Second occasion I had tonsillitis. Both doctors insisted it was just allergies, even though I had chills and a fever both times. Don't waste your time here. Go see a real doctor off campus.

I ve been going to SHS to see Dr. Skaggs for the past year and she is absolutely amazing! She really goes above and beyond for me and I m so grateful.

Just a note about her personality.. she s kind, caring and just has this motherly vibe!

I waited 2 days for my appointment while I had mono, which i still have, and they did absolutely nothing for me. At first they told me i probably don t even have mono AFTER telling them my roommate had mono and explaining to her all my symptoms. I have all the symptoms so i don t know why the doc was so unconvinced i had mono. The worst part is that she did absolutely nothing for me aside from charge me for getting a blood test to prove i have mono. Now i m in sever pain with nothing to relieve it. Go somewhere that ll actually prescribe you something rather then telling you go sleep it off, good luck next time bud.

Scheduled a travel consultation for a study abroad field trip in Africa I m going to. I got everything I needed (typhoid vaccine and malaria prevention pills) and great travel advice from the RN and NP! Definitely coming here again for more abroad or general health needs.

I don't understand all the negativity here. I came in for a chest problem, waited for about 5 seconds and was led in a room and checked. The people here are very nice, accommodating, and professional.

Schedule an appointment in the morning if you can, and according to my experience, you'll be seen basically right away! I've been there a couple times, and especially was impressed with Megan Cullers. She was probably the nicest health practitioner I've ever been seen by! All the staff there were great to me.

Nurses: phenomenal

Nurses: phenomenal
Front desk staff: great
Insurance/check-out staff: awesome
Doctors: awful

I scheduled an emergency appointment because my allergies had gotten so out of hand that I couldn't function -- everyone, with the exception of the doctor, was very helpful and kind. My doctor, however, was only interested in whether or not I had a fever -- when i did not, he told me i was fine and to keep taking my anti-histimines. He then prescribed me something (not available in the pharmacy at Beutel) to dry my eyes up -- on top of the mucinex that already had my eyes in desert-condition.
The next day I went to a real doctor, where I was told that she was surprised that I was even able to get out of bed and given antibiotics (for the biannual sinus infection I told the doctor that I had) and steroids.

If you just need a flu shot, Beutel is fine, but please, if you're sick, go see someone who cares about whether or not you get better

I have read a lot of complaints about this clinic, but I really think that just depends on where you go. I have been seeing the same nurse practitioner since I first went to this clinic, and I've always had a wonderful experience. Deborah Motley has always been really great at listening and receptive to my concerns. When I have been referred to an M.D., I've also received respectful treatment. I will say, the wait times can be pretty bad, and I often have to plan for a large open window around appointments, but I honestly think it's because the health center doesn't receive enough resources, funding, or space for the sheer volume of students they see. With the amount of revenue the school takes in, they could do much better by their students medical needs.

VERY disappointed with beutal. I went on 12/08/17 with flu like symptoms and a fever. I was seen by William Vota who very quickly turned me away and told me to go home and to take Tylenol and fix it . The following day I went to St Joseph urgent care clinic and it took them exactly 5 minutes to be convinced that I had the flu. Turns out I had type A and type B flu viruses with a 102 degree fever. I have a final on Monday and every day that I could have taken tamiflu would have made me feel slightly better. Waste of my time and money.

I arrived 1 minute late and was told that I would be charged a $25 late arrival fee and that my appointment with the Women's Health Clinic was cancelled. They told me that I would have to go to Triage as a walk in and have them send me up to the Women's Health Clinic. The Triage called up to the Women's Health Clinic to ask if they could still see me and the nurse practitioner I had an appointment with said that they were "too busy" to see me....5 minutes after my scheduled time and you are too busy to see me?! More like you are ready to go to lunch and would prefer not to see me. I completely understand a late arrival fee, but if you are "too busy" to see me 5 minutes after my appointment, you should schedule less appointments.

The online appointment system is so easy to use and get in pretty quickly! I have seen a variety of great providers from MDs, NPs and PAs here and would definitely recommend them all :)

I really don t understand all the negative reviews in here. If you show up 10-15 minutes early to your appointment, the doctor will very likely see you on time. I have been here numerous times and every time has been a breeze. The doctors and nurses truly care about your health and they are so kind. Also, I should note that almost no where else compares to the price of medicines directly through the pharmacy here. I have had amazing experiences with Dr. Skaggs and Deborah Motley, but I am currently with Dr. Ponder and she is a DREAM. She is attentive and she works so hard to figure out what is best for you. I think Beutel does an awesome job with the resources they are given.

I never recieved an email letting me know that I needed to be at my appointment 15 minutes early. I walked in and they told me my appointment is cancelled even though I was on time. Their text reminder also DID NOT let me know I needed to be there early. I was standing there crying letting them know that I really needed to see someone. Literally this is the only place I have been to that provides medical care, where they will CANCEL your appointment for not being early.

Students ALSO have busy schedules so someone who turns up ON TIME for the appointment time should not be turned away.

AND THE FACT that I was told I could sign a waiver and pay a late fee and then I would have my appointment back, shows they don t care about a student s wellness and just wanted money. It s pretty obvious that if I paid, then someone would have time to provide care for me. Which I was told later that this is wrong and I was misinformed? They really need to make sure their staff know their information.

The least they could do is a better job of notifying students that they need to be there early. Don t understand why that wasn t stated in the text message reminder I received.

I've been going here for years and have yet to have a bad experience. They've seen me for immunizations, injuries, illness, and blood work. The staff is always professional and courteous. I'd just as soon see them versus going somewhere else for any routine work.

If you are going to use your insurance to hopefull...

If you are going to use your insurance to hopefully cover the costs of the visits and exams you take, contact your insurance and make sure this clinic is within their system. Otherwise, you will be stuck paying full fees for visits and exams you take.

I had been filing visits and exams with my insurance, assuming I was just paying co-pays and adjusted fees, but after months of going and eventually getting charged excessively, I was not informed AT ALL that my insurance was not covering any visits or exams until I called my insurance as to why I was getting charged so much.

These people want their money, and will keep their lips tight and not inform you when insurance doesn't cover fees just so they can keep their clientele from going to other clinics in the CSTAT area that ARE within your insurance's system. It doesn't hurt to inform students, "We've been filing visits and exams with your insurance and it appears that they do not cover fees in this clinic." We already pay a lot to attend this institution, and even then we surrender a 70-dollar fee every semester to access Beutel regardless if are even attending appointments.

Don't waste your time, just go to a real doctor. These people can't do anything for you, not even a simple influenza or strepp test. And like everything provided by the University, the quality of service is absolutely horrific.
