Absolutely smashing service. I grew up going to this Tesco's for 11 years and it has never let me down. The meal deals are 10/10 and are absolutely amazing. Not to mention the parking is always good. Despite the funny smell in the clothing section, this Tesco's is absolutely astounding. A+, would recommend.

SUNBURY TESCO CLICK AND COLLECT REVIEW

SUNBURY TESCO CLICK AND COLLECT REVIEW
Oh dear... What a terrible experience this was. Ordered via click and collect, thinking I'd save time on the weekly shop (as I'm a key worker). Couldn't get a slot at Brooklands, so ordered to Sunbury and will not be doing so again. My slot was 4-6 arrived at 4:05, signed in on the interactive screen and waited. I then I noticed the amount of other people waiting... I counted 12 other customers waiting for their deliveries! I waited another 10 mins and no sign of a member of the Tesco team. Someone then appeared at about 4:20, with 2 deliveries. Disappeared again for another 5/10 mins to return with another 2 and so on... It seemed that Tesco only had 1 member of staff dealing with their click and collect (C&C is very popular, so I find it hard to believe that Tesco Sunbury thought it was okay to have 1 person doing all the work - they also have booked slots), evidently this was not enough - at about 4:45 another member of staff did arrive but this still wasn't enough as more people were arriving to collect their shopping. People who came in after me and signed in were getting their food before me, it just seemed like there was no structure or organisation to the process. When my shopping finally arrived, it was 5:15... 1 hour and 10 mins after I'd arrived and signed in - I may as well have gone in the store and done the shop myself. I know the current situation doesn't help but every time I've been to Brooklands, they are quick efficient and have about 4 people dealing with customers and the Brooklands Tesco is slightly smaller. So it's clear the Covid situation shouldn't really be an excuse. To top it all off, the person who had packed my shopping had laid the eggs on their side in the box and subsequently one had broken, so I needed a new box. This then added another 5 mins on to the time I'd spent at the click and collect station - I could have taken the broken pack and got the money refunded but we needed eggs and I thought as my wife is pregnant and I have 2 year old also, I didn't want to take the risk of potentially given them food poisoning. That may seem a little over the top, but I think it's justified. Anyway, the long and short of it is this; I'd steer clear of Sunbury click and collect as it's quite simply a shambles. This has nothing to do with the people working at the C&C pick up point (who were clearly rushed off their feet) but rather a management/strategic issue. I have spoken to friends and they are having a similar experience at the Sunbury Tesco.
I ended up leaving Sunbury Tesco at 5:30pm an hour and 25 minutes after I arrived!

Reasonable standard Tesco, scan
while you shop checkout can be a pain with queues at times so the benefit of it is limited......

Which is a shortfall as due to its location could get good trade from motorway and local traffic

A large Tesco with clothing, electricals, computers and gaming, an opticians, a coffee shop, a photography shop, a timpsons key cutting service, a car wash, small household items and a huge grocery section. The only thing it doesn't sell is furniture, however it does have a Tesco direct desk where you can order and collect from the catalogue

Always struggle a bit after i've worked a nightshift when you want to purchase something from upstairs. Travelators are always barricaded across so you can't get up there. Had to persuade security man about a month ago that i only wanted to go upstairs for an iron. Sorry people of Tesco's but if you're open that is what it should be. Other issue this morning was at the checkout(self service) was it took a good 3 or 4 minutes for someone to come & help when there was a problem with a scanned item. Just to say though re the 1st floor being shut is the problem relates to New Malden & Brooklands too. Currently they are relaying floor at Sunbury so understandable today.

Standard Large Tesco Extra out of town shopping ...

Standard Large Tesco Extra out of town shopping facility located 3 minutes from junction 1 of the M3 designed to offer many services all in one place like food, clothing, pharmacy, opticians, Yo Sushi counter, car washing and petrol. No electric car charging stations here though.

The main observation with the place was it s generally filthy with an outside seating area presumably for there coffee brand in somewhat of an unacceptable state located directly at the entrance to the store. Covered with rubbish, cigarette butts with general mess and broken and upturned seating. The interior coffee seating area also look very worn and was in need of updating. The car park was also strewn with rubbish where presumably people had emptied rubbish from there cars and used the place as an open tip.

Changing my review now, after rubbish I found on the car park. These items could damage tyres. For the big shop like that it shouldn't be too difficult to maintain car park properly. The standards are going down, not only here, but it's time to start noticing these bad practices.

Prior to this second lock down this Tesco has gone downhill.
Self scan machines not working or scanners not charged causing queues. Also For self service and normal human checkout.
The new layout is confusing and lots of items are not in stock.
Now with lock down it causes more confusion and people are spending longer trying to locate their items which isn't ideal.
Personally I have made my decision that I wont be shopping in this store anymore and try another tesco who have an established layout or even try another supermarket.
Having a TV Non essential asile in between bread and food doesn't seem to flow.
Social distance doesn't apply in store.
You should really rethink your layout is it causing customers longer to shop? Is that why there are too many customers in one asile?

Really disappointed with the food shop today. I haven't done a Tesco shop for some months as I have been ill. Shop really nice and well layed out however dates on fresh fruit, veg, meats all today's and tomorrow's date. All reduced meats has a green tinge to them and should not be on display.
Won't be hurrying back any time soon.

I'm from Americans where we don't have Tesco Extra. I found it to be a very nice store with a variety of food items to choose from. It was also nice to be able to exchange currency at the store. People were friendly and service was good.

Love this Tesco. Been shopping here for about 14years and never walked out disappointed. The variety they stock here is astounding and there's often items of interest on clearance. Also very convenient that they have a petrol garage on site and a car wash. Loads of free parking and good proximity to A3 so easy to find.
