Best brisket you will ever eat. Beef ribs were also top shelf. I was also blown away by the remarkable sides. Potato salad was my favorite side followed by creamed corn. If you like bbq and don"t visit Terry Black's you will surely miss out on one of the best experiences available.

I have never had the pleasure of Austin BBQ.it was recommended that, if I wanted brisket go to Terry Black's. WOW That.was a great suggestion. We had beef ribs-wonderful, pork ribs-not as good as Memphis, sausage-very good, and brisket-OH MY GOODNESS. IT WAS AWESOME. I highly reccomend Tony Black's.

I've always gotten turkey sandwiches at bbq places, ever since I was a kid, and this might be the best bbq turkey sandwich I've ever had. I'll always prefer KC BBQ sauce, but the turkey here is outstanding.

An offshoot of the legendary Black pitmasters of Lockhart. This is excellent BBQ, rating up there with the best of central Texas. We had the brisket and pork ribs and they were delicious; moist, flavorful, the brisket with just the right amount of bark, the ribs falling off the bones. Sides were great as well, but you came here for the meat. Highly recommend. Paired it with a Peacemaker from Austin Beerworks and called it a day.

Long wait in line (about 40 minutes), potato salad was just OK, banana pudding used some kind of cream? Didn't taste like pudding to me. Mac & cheese was amazing and beef ribs was amazing as well but the dry rub was a little too salty for me but I enjoyed it.

Food was great. They had an excellent variety of barbeque sauces and hot sauces. Prices are a little misleading, as the drink prices were super high for a fountain beverage. However, if you get a pound of meat, it is enough for about six sandwiches with the sausage, so I split it with a friend and still had some to spare. Also has great seating for larger groups as the tables can fit four or eight. High chairs are also available for children.

Arby's doesn't have the meats....but Blacks does! I'm from Portland OR and this is my first time in Texas! Aside from ACL the highlight of my trip was to try Texas BBQ. Blacks was by far the best meat I've ever that in my life, plus the sides were absolutely mind-blowing! Blacks is where it's at!

This is still one of my favorite BBQ spots in Texas. The brisket here is great, and the pork ribs are some of my favorite in the state (and thus the world!). Both have the right amount of smoke, flavor, tenderness, and juiciness. The sides are pretty tasty too for a BBQ joint, which is an added bonus.

If you're in Austin, you can't go wrong with Terry Black's unless you arrive late in the evening when some meats have sold out. Call ahead if you're worried!

This place is so over rated. Very pricy. The food is so bland. The cream of corn is so watery. The brisket is bland. The turkey is dry. The string beans and potato salad was very good. I'll stick with Scottys bbq. Scotty has the best brisket and cream of corn in Austin.

Very delicious brisket and they cut it how we liked (lean). Their potato salad is some of the best I ve had, it s creamy and flavorful and definitely quality ingredients. My boyfriend really enjoyed their sausage and turkey as well, he worked in barbecue so he could tell the time and effort they put in! Everyone was very friendly and we loved the atmosphere and decor as well.

Every uber driver, coworker and just about every person recommended Terry Black's as the best place to get barbecue in Austin. We were not disappointed. Sure, it's a long waiting time, but it's all worth it. The food is out of this world, from the sides to the meat and the desserts. They have great beer selection and even souvenir sauces to take home. Totally recommend.

Had the beef ribs and the brisket with 4 sides. Fairly pricey compared to their competitors. Would of given 5 stars except the brisket wasn t perfect, tad dry and the price was about $10 more than what I would of expected. Still gets 4 stars because the sweet corn side and the beef ribs were perfection.

The barbecue is Great, but these guys need an app where people can order it to go and swing by and pick it up!! The app also needs to give a time for pickup!!! This place is BUSY and you can easily wait in a line that is 1/2 hr. long. I get that it's popular and that's great, but people also have things to do. Terry Black's needs to move into the 21st. Century with our Mobile App economy. Love the place though---Great, Great, Great Barbecue!!!

This was recommended to me by several co-workers, and friends. We ordered the brisket, and beef ribs. The ribs were salty. It was tender and fatty (as ribs should be). The saltiness could be because it was the evening, and last piece? The burnt ends part of the brisket was chewy, and not tender at all. But the slices we got was tender and flavorful. The sides we got was green beens (meh nothing special). Creamed corn, very delicious. And banana pudding for dessert (not too sweet, but more on the cakey side, not pudding). There wasn't a huge line. Service was quick. Seating was plenty indoors and out, with social distancing. All in all ok. I can check this off my list of bbq places to try in Austin!

This is hands down the best bbq I have ever had. Maybe I am a naive Californian, but we tried a few other spots around Austin and this spot was a home run! Get their early. Get the beef rib. Schedule some time for a nap afterward. (Sorry for the poor quality image. It's a screenshot of a video I took demonstrating the 10/10 fall off the bone beef rib)

I know this is an iconic place for BBQ but I was underwhelmed. The prices are high with a pound of brisket at over $21. The sides are always cold by the time you sit down because if you have to wait in line they get cold. My bill with a beer was $26.
I would appreciate them taking the fat off the top of the brisket before weighing. I had one spare rib to taste and couldn't finish it because of all the fat.

NOT WORTH THE HYPE. Don't get me wrong it was good. However, there are plenty of smaller joints putting out a equal or greater quality food with a more personal environment where you are not just a number through the door.

We ordered the beef ribs and moist brisket. Both were fantastic. The beef ribs were incredibly tender and had a ton of flavor. Everything is fairly expensive and it was really easy to over order since it was our first time. The sides were okay and also a bit expensive.
