Fantastic brewery. Great tour. Loved it. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit.
Wonderful place to drink and relax. Awesome beer too! Olga was very welcoming and a great asset to the business.
Great, relaxed environment. Delicious beer. Get the taster. I had to take an uber and received a free glass
Great brewery with great events and great employees. Never had any complaints here
I just bought a 6 pack after a long day. I have to say that I have been solely a dark beer drinker but I seen this sitting in a cooler and thought meh last pale ale I had was well tasted watered down. So I continued on my search for a familiar brand I liked and low and behold they was out so I walked back by the cooler this 6 pack was in and said let's give it so glad I did. It has been placed in my top 6 fave beers to buy (was 5 lol) Thanks for a great brew. (HI-5 IPA) *
Atmosphere is ok, but last time I went I poured more beer into the bushes than down my throat.
A perfect place for a date, a night out or whatever excuse you can come up with. The staff was helpful and friendly. It's a place you should seriously consider visiting.
Terrapin rules! Their new tasting room is beautiful and has an indoor stage for entertainment. Great atmosphere, great people, and great beer! They now have a Sunday Funday tour at 1:30pm- Check it out!
Really subpar beer these days. Anecdotally, I've had very bad experiences with rude volunteers. I dread having to go there when friends pick it
Always loved their beer, and their brewery was a blast! The tasting package is a great deal; so many brews!
Terrapin beer is excellent, and Athen is a cool town if you can ignore all the University of Georgia fans. Take the tour, it's worth your time.
We've visited many times; this is a mandatory stop when hosting out-of-town guests. Good beer, a friendly, quirky crowd, and usually some good live music and/or food trucks on busier nights.
I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Terrapin makes some of my favorite beer, so I didn't hesitate to drive the hour and a half to Athens while we were staying in Atlanta a few weeks ago. But I wish I had.
The experience was not what I'd expected at all. While the facility itself was well-maintained and inviting, the clientele wasn't what you'd imagine for a place with such a good reputation. The grounds outside were filled with loitering, spitting chain smokers (many of whom didn't look old enough to drink) and rows upon rows of souped-up trucks and cars bearing Confederate flags. Some were even cussing around children and communicating threats to one another. When I asked a staff member what was going on, he said it was a "car show." I tried to give Terrapin the benefit of the doubt, thinking this was an isolated instance of unprofessionalism rather than an indicator of a bigger problem. That's when I saw one of the bartenders (unsuccessfully) trying to sneak sips of a beer. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but this isn't the look you want to create for yourself when you're such a well-respected name in the craft beer industry.
On the whole, I was disappointed. I may buy Terrapin's beer again, but I won't be back to their brewery.
Great beer selection, awesome environment to hang out and enjoy, will definitely come back again!
Now that they have the inside refinished, you have a great place to drink and stay cool. One of the coolest brewerys to visit, and a great selection to sample.
Beautiful place and great food and drinks and very friendly employees
Love the atmosphere. It is a great place to spend an afternoon catching up with friends. However, I wish they would brew more light beers. Golden ale is bland and unoriginal. Occasionally they will have another light beer available but it is never amazing. The quality of their beers has diminished since being bought out by Coors, too.
Great environment, delicious drinks, fun atmosphere
Now offering curbside pickup. Very busy but worth the short wait.
Have their best beers on tap with generous sample pours. The tour is cool too. They have some high quality equipment.
Drivers beware!
Shipping and receiving for terrapin beer co. is across the street from the actual address one street sign facing one side so you can t see it from sides orange construction sign that says new truck entrance I have a screenshot attached with the new location
