A wonderful place absolutely natural and open to all. To visit
Very suggestive place. Nice and pleasant. The water is quite hot. Both in the water and off the ground it is very uncomfortable and steep. Recommended rock shoes. The whole place is exposed to the sun all day, at risk of insolation.
Thermal water that comes from the depths of Monte Amiata .. And after a long journey it gushes in many areas including these wonderful thermal baths and descends from 2 beautiful waterfalls at a temperature of 37.5 wonderful experience despite a few people ... Tuscany you can not go there .. Fantastic experience
Magnificent, very beautiful view. Thermal water at 38 degrees. To do.
It is only to prove how fantastic this place is ... Relaxing, beneficial, wild and so much more
We were in the camper. Good parking area (only slightly sloping) with free shuttle
A beautiful place not private but public and therefore accessible to all
Fairytale place, .. enchanted, free and unfortunately free !!! .. because therefore civilization is entrusted to education, respect and common sense of the people ... I leave you to imagine in time of immediate summer post Covid 19
By now it's a carnage, I would pay entry (not that it must be an expensive ticket) and with limited numbers.
So it is impossible and they are also ugly to see so crowded.
SO worth the hike! I believe it costs 3 euros to get in, and it was one of our favorite parts of our whole trip. The views are amazing from up there, and they let you climb up to the roof of the castle. There was also a hawk show, and you can explore these caves that go into the side of the hill.
Beautiful experience. If you like mature you are in your element here.
Really nice experience! A natural thermal pool in the woods.
Ample parking and, amazingly, all free.
Nice place even if there is a lot of people you are 'equally well, the only flaw is found the parking for disabled people not really comfortable too far from the entrance
if you want you can improve!
The place is magnificent, an earthly paradise immersed in nature, in August a bit crowded, the water is of a very pleasant temperature and has beneficial and healing properties, I recommend it to those like me who have acne problems and impurities on the skin, in two days the result is amazing. It is essential to equip yourself with the right shoes, towel and umbrella ... The place in dim light is relatively little! We would have appreciated more maintenance in general, from shrubs to rubbish ... However, this does not interfere with the splendid panorama ... The whitish rocks and the blue color of the waters make it very suggestive. We are very pleased to have chosen the mill waterfalls.
At the expense of what one may think as soon as they arrive (too many people) it is a very relaxing place. Really fantastic!!
I personally liked them very much, well organized even though they are freely accessible (and it is not cheap, given that in Italy you also pay for the air you breathe), parking for motorbikes and cars free but organized too. Cascades of thermal water and pools in which to lie comfortably chatting or doing natural hydromassage ... the only small flaw is the presence of small red worms that those who were with me (and had already been) told me to be normal. 5 full stars.
Great thermal springs, bring beach blanket, umbrella, and your own towels. Sulfur smell washes out of bathing suits and red fly larvae in water minor inconvenience given beauty of location.
Natural pools of sulphurous hot water that give a sense of belonging to nature
beautiful place and moreover totally free.
I strongly recommend that you wear rubber shoes before entering the water, although the bottom is full of pointed and slippery stones.
On the other hand the water is warm and clear to visit.
Wonderful place too bad there is always a lot of people !!!
It is just amazing and perhaps do also good for my neck ...
Le cascate del Mulino (o del Gorello) sono le terme "libere" che si trovano a Saturnia. Parcheggio libero esperienza bella nel weekend ovviamente affollato, ma ne vale la pena. Consigliate scarpette da scoglio.
Nice and above all free place without anyone telling you what you can or can't every 10 minutes ...
Suggestive location, thermal water that flows impetuously from the rock and forms a thousand waterfalls, delicious natural massage. The only precaution, in the moments of greatest crowds, to attend early in the morning or late afternoon. Open 24 hours a day, free admission and free parking, adjacent refreshment point. Not to be missed!
I arrived today 10/08/2020 in the b & b 8380 in advance of check in, I found maximum availability and welcome, the place really deserves my opinion and I recommend it, a stone's throw from the waterfalls and the equipped spas within walking distance. . The waterfalls of the mill are scary, warm and with natural pools that make you relax.
Beautiful, worth a visit. Rather crowded, but given the popularity and beauty of the place it is foreseeable.
Stunning place! We got up early to visit them and it was worth it, after the very crowded eight
Heavenly place! Hot water running naturally through a landscape carved in the form of natural pools. Impossible to pass and not visit. It has structure for meal and bath and ample parking.
A marvel of nature, carved in the rock with the passage of time, one of the countless wonders of our unique and beautiful Italy. It is widely worth a detour, even just for a simple visit. If you have time to stop, then the magic is complete. And, what is most surprising, is still finding such wonderful places, with free entry. I don't put a picture, because it doesn't do justice at all. Simply go there and enjoy what nature offers you.
A special experience. We were there at sunset in August. But even then it was totally overrun. It's no longer an insider tip. The long journey was worth it. Tip: put on your bathing suit beforehand, there are no changing rooms. Breathtaking natural spectacle. The drive back north over the mountains at night was very winding and exhausting.
There are many people but in any case every one finds its place. Near the waterfall there is a bar-restaurant where you can buy food, good food There is a parking lot but it is usually always full, you have to wait a little to park the car. Near the there are no showers, on the other hand there is a public bathroom.
Natural pools and waterfalls with hot thermal water but not hot, very, very pleasant and clean. Absolutely free. Possibility of showering (for a fee) and eating in the bar at the entrance. Ample free parking.
Let me get this straight. These are some of the most beautiful hot springs you will ever have the privilege of seeing throughout your life. They're just beautiful, surrounded by rocks and waterfalls, immersed in the Tuscan hills that harbour the finest wines and nicest views, in a rural Maremma that's so magically preserved in its purest and most untouched manner, regardless of the many tourists that visit it and keep it dear in their hearts as they leave.
With access to the private beach and the possibility of having pedalon and canoes .. clean sea .. free wf a lot of kindness from the staff .. access to the swimming pool .. entertainment for children
Revelation warm water and massaging waterfalls. Some people even after the season but definitely worth a visit.
Didn't like it. Way too many people, and the sulfuric smell is repulsive.
Just great !! Went twice in November, and great both times. Lucky with the weather, but waited for sunny day. The cafe is good (good basic food), and has toilets/shower. The waters are what you go for and it's well worth it. We also went to the Spa, which is also very good, had nice food, and well worth a visit, but this is more natural. We stayed in our motorhome in the local sosta, and could walk to the Cascade easily via pavement (10-15 minutes), and also up to Saturnia via footpaths (about 25 minutes) opposite the site (and down via road). We were going to stay for a day or so, and stayed 6 days. Would be happy to return.
Picturesque waterfalls !!! You can not but go for a refreshing bath! Take a bath in these spas is free! Also free parking! And right at the foot of the falls there is a Bar with everything! From typical foods to everything you need to immerse yourself in the spa if you do not have it! Sheets, slippers, possibility of a shower!
Beautiful and suggestive poato in the heart of Tuscany. Very crowded on feast days, but it was still possible to find a relaxing corner. I recommend going there in autumn spring because the cool outside and the warm water are a winning combination.
Lots of people, but in any case a truly unique and still free place! I had a lot of fun under the jets of water that descended heavily from the floor above! To be repeated perhaps at another time.
I think we need more safety with regard to the glass bottles in the entrance, but otherwise certainly to be replicated!
Very busy and parking is tight nut worth while. Allow time to park and to find a good spot. Smell wasn't to bad.
Beautiful hot sulphurous waterfalls from a natural spring. Unfortunately not organized properly and also for this reason they are free. Parking spaces only for cars and there is no real loading and unloading for coaches done in safety. Then the coaches must necessarily park on a private area equipped but with the payment of 5.00 euros per hour..The only bar that does a bit of restaurant has the prices a little Carucci even though it does not have a large choice of food. The showers after the natural pools are obligatory so as not to incur a small tingling on the skin due to dryness. The showers are available for a fee just from the only bar in the area
Stupendous! Natural and vast. Breathtaking scenery with many waterfalls of hot thermal water. Very nice neighboring village to eat and buy local beneficial products for health and beauty.
I think you can make a stop, I expected more and with more space, I'm overcrowded things with people ready to do anything to take a place I do not understand
5 stars for the location and experience.
1 star for non-existent services. I understand that the place is surrounded by nature and that it must not become a commercial opportunity, but there should be an entrance limit or a stay limit and above all there should be toilets such as showers and cabins.
Heavenly place. Complete relaxation and total regeneration. Completely free, ample parking and a good restaurant.
If you arrive in Saturnia, Tuscany will recommend the waterfalls of Mulino
First, free parking, free parking
if you find a good and cheap accommodation it is worth coming here as it is free
do not look at hotels that cost 450 euros, it's not worth it
there are 80 euro accomodation and go with the thermal water car as it is nice and it will cost nothing
is a unique, beneficial and unique experience
I recommend !!!!!!
Nice place in the middle of nature
But it could be a little more taken care of
A little chaotic even in September, but enjoyable and exciting
An infernal group. If you like chaos and incivility it's the right place. To forget.
Idyllic place, surrounded by nature, it maintains its wildness and despite the free access 24 hours a day (even the parking lot), it is kept nice and clean. An oasis of relaxation. Sulphurous water at 37 degrees, in the summer I would recommend visiting it at night, at sunset or at dawn ... otherwise so warm .... I naturally add: to respect and maintain for how nature has given it to us. There is also a bar equipped for coolness and refreshment. Exciting.
very beautiful waterfalls, free, also free parking, there is also a bar that makes sandwiches etc, and there are showers (fee). Consigliatissime shoes for rocks, and in summer the sun umbrella and sunscreen.
NEGATIVE side the scorn of the common scum able to park anywhere and block you, to not take two more steps, and to physically sit on YOUR towel to have some shade (but there is also the risk to the sun) that you you hard-won starting from home at 7 (if not before because the seats in the shade are few) morning.
Unfortunately, when it is free of this it happens, sometimes even if it is not, but if it is, it is safe ...
A spectacular place out of time, too bad that the waterfall is getting smaller every year. I definitely recommend a visit. The water that flows at 37 and a half degrees facilitates the visit of this place even in the coldest periods. A word of advice, a swim in the middle of December, perhaps with snow!
Fabulous place, relaxing, free access, possibility to bring lunch or snacks from home, possibility to take a shower at the entrance bar buying the tokens, the only precaution if you wear silver objects remove them before entering the water since being sulphurous it ruins it. For the rest I highly recommend
Years Ke I come there ... always pure relaxation .. I love them
Fantastic thermal bath. Admission free. Very full in the sense. It's worth getting there early. Allow a minimum of two hours. Great for children too, but you have to take care of the little ones.
Wonderful place. Lots of people but well distributed. It is really worth it.
You have to go at least once because it is a wonder of nature, a unique place. Too many people are present, but choosing the right times avoids excessive chaos. We went in the evening until 9.30 pm (but when it comes out of the water it's cold and then you have to go with torches) and in the morning at 12 o'clock when many people were arriving, some even too intrusive. At the end of the day the area around the bins is dirty, but the next day everything is cleaned up. Remove rings and bracelets, especially silver, because the water ruins them.
Thermal springs. The place is beautiful, there is parking nearby and a bar with food, drinks and services.
It is advisable to come in advance with a swimsuit because the options for replacing the clothes in a confined place - only in the bar.
A strong smell of sulfur in the air that stays with you at least until the shower.
It's pretty full of people but you can still find where to go and dip.
There are small red worms in the water, I do not know what their nature and nature.
Very nice. Not overcrowded in the off-season. There are no parking spaces with the motorhome, there is a paid parking space approx. 500m away.
Beautiful, natural, inexpensive. They sin the rudeness of people who leave waste around
After many times I went to the factory I decided to opt for the free external ones. Sensational, lively and fun, I highly recommend that you go there as long as you do not look for comfort but want to enjoy the hot thermal waters.
Fantastic place to relax in the middle of nature! The hot water falls are truly a fantastic unicum for a day full of beauty. The only flaw, if it can be defined as such, is the fact that in the summer it is literally stormed and it is difficult to move from one tank to another without bumping into someone. Of course, it's not a place without crowds ...
Really very cute and picturesque. Place to have a nice bath with thermal water and to get to know other people. Also nearby is a bar where you can have a snack and drink a drink. Pay-showers are also available
Eh ... Eh .... You see it from above, immersed in the hills ... This white spot! And when you arrive and you dive ... 38 degrees of well-being ... Ah! To do three times a year
Rare mother nature product that can be used for free (apart from those unreachable by the economic system). The waterfalls are widely frequented and exploited by the mass; this can horrify avid environmentalists and environmental lovers in general. The sulphurous waters here "are the capital of all and certainly some benefit is given to those who can frequent them regularly
Awesome place !! A must if you are in the area! 37 degree hot water bubbles through the cascades! The smell of sulfur is not as extreme as some have described. One should think of bathing shoes ... Free gravel parking above the cascades. Even bathing there costs nothing. Just change under the towel There are no changing rooms. Unfortunately no toilet either. But ask in the adjacent restaurants ....
Beautiful experience in a fairytale setting, I suggest you visit them before sunset, when there is less crowding and the temperatures drop so you can benefit from the hot water that flows from the waterfall without suffering the heat.
Absolutely to see and try
Nice area, beautiful view, the water is a nice, warm temperature -being warmer nearest the waterfall and cooler down the stream so try to get as high up as possible but the waterfall is VERY STRONG so the splashing in your face might not be as enjoyable as you'd like. It's not one of those with mud underneath, the floor is made of small stone pebbles so bring shoes for underwater and don't expect to get a mud mask.
During the Summer it gets quite full with tourists so try to come off-season, it is always warm and there is a small shop next door with a bathroom and even a shower.
Parking is free and on site. I recommend you bring shoes you can use inside the water as the stones inside the water are uncomfortable and sometimes there is broken glass outside the fall. Bring a towel and maybe even a bathrobe if its colder out.
The only this I didn't like was that there were these little red larvae which stuck to your skin as if they're eating off your dead skin cells! You can't see them outside of the water but as you get in and look at your surroundings you'll notice them very quickly as there are millions of them EVERYWHERE! After further research I've gathered that they are from a type of fly that is local and that they are harmless but it is a shock at first and takes some getting used to.
If you want to take Instagram-style photos I suggest you go early in the morning as most people start to come in after 9am.
You can bring food and drinks and make a day of it, and if you want a spot all to yourself you can go up the waterfall and pick some more private, cozy pools upstream or even downstream for even more privacy.
