Scenic Art Nouveau environment, worth a visit. Path to the East Seas excellent. The rest is a bit dated.
Scenic Art Nouveau environment, worth a visit. Path to the East Seas excellent. The rest is a bit dated.
Friendly operators. The place is always beautiful, the seas of the East sn my favorites.
A paradise on earth! Wonderful. Thanks for the kind hospitality!
The structure is a bit outdated, but it always has its charm
Historic environments denounce age, but the new part is very beautiful and comfortable. Impeccable equipment and staff. We come back regularly
An old glory to be resurrected !! Wonderful building but now become a visitable museum with guide by appointment, a real pity !!!
A place to relax and rejuvenate.
Structure a little decadent but, perhaps this has its charm.
Very friendly staff.
Very beautiful its air a little demode '.
Characteristic spas inserted in a structure dated but preserved in an optimal way. Many thermal routes to choose from and professionalism in aesthetic treatments.
Spa path in a splendid setting. To be done in half a day.
Small spas located in a wonderful period building. Excellent sensation left on the skin by thermal water.
Very nice staff
Place of art, health resort, place for relaxation in a word Berzieri spa. From the high Italian liberty heritage (Galileo Chini) to the magical property of its salsobromoiodic waters (excellent for circulation and bone pains) to the relaxing atmosphere of its wellness center with Roman thermal baths. I recommend coming to this place for everything. Also great for photos of your wedding.
Beautiful structure, with a guide we discovered the meaning of all the characters and animals depicted inside. To visit
is the second time I go there and I am always fascinated by the beautiful property, the routes and services offered are very valid, would serve as maintenance, I noticed a little something to fix the tanks and internal windows you see that the very visible part of the public of the stable need for several interventions, funds are obviously lacking ...
A magical place, a blast from the past, a sumptuous palace and exemplary treatment. Thanks of course to the very friendly and helpful staff.
Very charming from the outside. Unfortunately it was closed. I'll be back
Splendid and historic thermal building of Salsomaggiore, open since the Twenties at the height of liberty culture. Even today the most important facility for the use of thermal treatments, with a high level of comfort and a fascinating setting.
Excellent value for money, the Salsomaggiore water is the best tested in my life
Exceptional and one of a kind, an experience to live. Especially for lovers of Liberty. It is also the ideal place to relax, in total tranquility, surrounded by beauty and art. The staff is extremely attentive to every need.
Wonderful example of Art Nouveau. Historic thermal baths. Today with a beautiful Spa and thermal pools
By far the most beautiful Liberty monument that can be admired in Italy! A splendid work by Galileo Chini, already a set of many and famous films!
To visit!!!! And visit all Salsomaggiore Terme of course! And I add that you eat very well everywhere !!!
Stabilimwnto Termale Berzieri: a liberty jewel.
The structure is something unique, the management of the spa is improving.
Absolutely worth a visit and a tour of the Seas of the East
Beautiful to see and to enjoy all the hotels and the pro loco can inform you about prices, schedules, services.
if you want to pamper yourself a bit, surely a day at the spa helps in every sense, the place and the wonderful to be enchanted
Il Berzieri is a building of 1914-1923 following the discovery of the healing properties of salsobromoiodic waters by the physician Lorenzo Berzieri. The project was by the architect Ugo Giusti while the frescoes and decorations by the painter Galileo Chini, a Florentine who was inspired by oriental architecture as he studied in Bangkok. This building is a unique splendor if you think ke it took a very high amount of time x to make it happen and many masons, marble workers and so on were employed. For many years it was used x cures (mud baths) now there is a wellness center. Guided tours are available and I recommend you to fully enjoy the history of this wonder. A priceless value x Salsomaggiore.
A fairy tale the rooms of these spas, helpful staff, to improve some details (obligatory use of the cap in the pool, more detailed / understandable information on the wellness paths to follow) in general we relaxed in a relaxing atmosphere of other times. We will return .
The thermal department, especially the swimming pool area, is small and has some structural deficiencies. On the other hand, the liberty style building is truly a jewel. The staff very kind and welcoming. I would say suitable for 3/4 hours of relaxation.
I really enjoyed the place. The architecture is amazing, the baths are small but with lots of entertainment and the massage was good. Here and there you do see small areas that could use some repair but I think this added extra charm.
Location charming and charming ... certainly not lacking the charm .... but a bit 'of cleaning Yes .....
A magical place, where the perfectly preserved bathroom furnishings and the beauty of the Art Nouveau-style building restore the flavor of the early 1900s. An added value to the treatments of the Wellness Center.
The salsobromoiodic waters of the Salsomaggiore Spa are the richest in mineral salts known in nature.
They are waters of marine origin
with high anti-inflammatory properties that favor the stimulation of the immune system as well as a deep one
antiseptic action.
Beautiful experience. The place is historic and it shows. The reserved and elegant environment. Relaxation is absolute. The thermal waters leave the skin very soft. Too bad that having not booked before we could not do the couple massage. Next time we'll think about it first.
Wonderful! Enchanting building to say the least, really well organized wellness center, even now in times of Covid. Staff very kind. An experience to try at least once in a lifetime. Highly recommended
A delusion. Dirty.
We chose the water course from 36 each. , the place is triumphal the staff from Neapolitan comedy (we happened in the middle of an EMBARRASSING pun at the exit of the locker rooms).
At the beginning, bathrobe and towel cabins are delivered, too bad that the first towel was torn and the second DIRTY WITH BLOOD.
The aquatic path strong point .. 3 minimum dolls' house pools, overcrowded you risk not even enjoying the warmth of the water. Ridiculous for the structure and the price.
Il.palazzo is spectacularly adorned with marble and mosaics the structure is dated but has its charm
Art Nouveau baths with oriental influences. To be seen.
Beautiful salons .. new pools .. for all the rest my opinion is negative .. very expensive .. to offer tepidarium turkish bath and old and stinking emotional showers .. there is no sauna .. there are no snacks .. herbal tea corner is reduced only to the fishing and in any case far from the relaxation rooms ..
The staff, although polite, does not explain the routes ... nor does it recommend the methods of wellness treatments ... no explanatory sign ... moreover it is easy to get lost among the interlacements of long and dispersive corridors ..

Great Spa! Always pampered. Too bad that time seems never enough
Spa of rare beauty, with a sumptuous entrance, where it is sometimes possible to listen to classical music concerts on an exciting environment.
Too bad that the value for money is decidedly unbalanced with high costs compared to the offer.
Staff not always very kind
Very nice place a little retro. Too bad that some fashion has passed.
Beautiful historic building in the center of Salsomaggiore with the "old" part in full liberty style and the new part in a contemporary style. There are 4 pools with various water games: waterfalls, concentrated jets, sprays etc. etc. the wet area is pretty clean and tidy. Halfway through there is an herbal tea area but nothing special, it is a thermos with hot tea (for the place it is I would have expected much more !!! With the same price in Valle D'Aosta they also gave us a snack with typical local products) the only flaw is that the rooms are a bit noisy and the staff present should enforce the rule of silence, or at least not exaggerate in raising your voice too much, in the end they are called relaxation areas !!!! Apart from that it is sooooo nice !!!
Excellent value for money, the Salsomaggiore water is the best tested in my life
Splendid palace in liberty and deco style. It also deserves just a ride in the lobby
If I were to evaluate the building the vote would certainly be higher .. But the spa, although the water is beneficial, has a totally inadequate wellness center. The rooms where the Turkish bath and emotional showers are located are sufficient for up to 6 people without considering the two non-functioning showers. The dispersed structure and the indications on where to go and the use of the equipment were not understood. small thermal pools but with many whirlpools.
Terme in the center of Salsomaggiore, very beautiful building. There are various thermal pools, saunas and treatments
I highly recommend this experience for people like me who want to treat themselves to a half-day of relaxation from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The magnetic beauty of these spas with the atmosphere of other times, helped by the background music and fragrant fragrances, have pushed away the accumulated stress in just a few minutes. The courtesy and skill of the staff also do a good part of this pleasant experience. I have personally tried:
- wrapping in aromatic mud, with aromatic bath,
- relaxation massage 30 min
- mud mask on the face
- argan oil facial massage.
The only advice I can give would be even more appreciated and useful, if during the treatments they were specified by the staff, what kind of mud or cream or oil, etc ... they are being used, so that they can eventually be bought to re-appreciate them home.
I hope to come back soon!
Wonderful structure that should be better cared for and enhanced. You can see the signs of numerous rainwater infiltrations in the building.
On the outside, this building is already huge and breathtaking, but unfortunately closed until 1 August for viewing. Nice bales. Couldn't that be out of season? If you are in the area (at the Arizona campsite, for example), do not continue straight away, but just drop by.
a paradise to relax in an exclusive environment ...
Scenic architectural complex designed by the Tuscan architect Ugo Giusti and decorated by Galileo Chini (1873-1956) with oriental taste. The mixture of classical echoes and Thai references produced a unique style, in which we see Liberty, Art Deco and Klimt influences. Inaugurated in 1923, the thermal building immediately began its healing function and was dedicated to the doctor Lorenzo Berzieri, who first discovered the salt-iodic bromide properties of the waters of Salsomaggiore. The new Baths, intended for a widespread and especially elite clientele, arose on the former spa, which was surrounded by a moat on the Citronia stream, near the Saline. In fact, for centuries the presence in the subsoil of a "marine fossil mine" from which the precious salt was extracted was evaporated. The Terme Berzieri show external and internal symbols related to the waters and their beneficial therapeutic properties. At the entrance there is a coffee bar free to all, not only to the customers of the baths. Guided tours are made to learn about the plant's past and recent history.
I saw the Berzieri Spa just outside and the lobby. Very nice architecture typical of the beginning of the 20th century. The town did not seem at the height of the spa.
Fabulous, characteristics, a day of pure relaxation
Open only 4 days a week.
For a tourist city it is inconceivable.
From outside the structure is very beautiful.
Wonderful !!!!! At night light up, then, enchanting !!!!!
The building is a masterpiece of architecture, the finishes are of a priceless beauty, the pools have really effective whirlpools, the Turkish Bath and the emotional showers are really beautiful, the water is very good, you can feel it on the bones and on the skin, treatments with mud and baths and massages are excellent and the staff is prepared and very courteous and helpful.
Treating yourself to moments of relaxation is always a pleasure and this is the right place! Friendly and competent staff
The building where the SPA is located is knitwear and worth a visit. In the SPA the seas course of the East and air and water is really nothing special ... Especially if you have already visited the thermal baths in Austria or in the North. Here no outdoor pool but three pools ... Two very small and one larger but which cannot accommodate more than 15/20 people ... Which are already too many !! Same thing for the air / water route ... Indeed ... There 10 people maximum. In the 40 euro fee for this package they provide you with a bathrobe and slippers. The headset is not needed. No fruit and only water and tea but only in the saunas. Bathrooms too far away both from the pools and from the saunas !! Three hours is more than enough for the space there is.
Ideal place to relax. Wide spaces to rest and fantastic environment. The building is a beautiful work of art. Very clean environments and very kind staff.
Grand Hotel Salsomaggiore Terme. Hotel with wellness center included. Superb huge rooms, very kind and helpful staff. Beautiful very silent suite. The only flaw of breakfast in the morning coffee and cappuccino from company type machines, for a hotel of this level should do more.
Cathedral in the desert, a beautiful, little-frequented place
Outstanding. The building is rich of History and the different treatment you can do are all good. We went for the "Mari d'oriente - percorsi acquatici" one and it was so fun and relaxing!
The highest score goes to the staff, which is absolutely cute and professional. I also recommend the massage. The structure is very beautiful and refined, but the spa and wellness facilities are unfortunately obsolete and not very functional and functioning. The main problem remains that inside the different areas are separated by long corridors and this makes everything dispersive and cold, even thermally when it is humid. Too bad because in my opinion, by bringing together the different parts in a more intimate area, the result would be better.
Piazza Berzieri really beautiful, too bad that the baths were closed due to covid-19
