I was here for a wedding rehearsal dinner and found it to excellent. The restaurant is in a converted home with lots of character and a lovely ambiance. As for the wait staff, they were very attentive and made sure that you did not want for anything. This would be a great place for meals that fall on a special occasion such as anniversaries. It would also be place for client meetings or interviews. I had the gnocchi pomodoro and the prosciutto wrapped filet mignon.

Service was impeccable. Britton. John. Frances. Wonderful. Food was over the top.
Owner was on sight and made us feel really welcome and special. Save room for dessert.this place has a pastry chef that rocks.

The staff was kind and the food was amazing. The environment was classy but not stuffy. I will recommend this restaurant for any friends who have anything they want to celebrate.

Probably the best dining experience I've ever had in my nine years living in Buffalo. My initial reaction was how incredibly polite the host was. When we were seated, our waiter recommended a few wines that would go well with the dinner I planned to order, per my request, and was spot on. My husband and I were feeling brave and ordered the raw oysters (both of our first time trying them), and they were delicious! We shared the ribeye (which fed us both for 2 days!), and it was absolutely beautiful. It was cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with a potato, mushroom, and onion hash. We also shared the raspberry torte dessert, which was great.

All in all, you can go to a lot of places for good food, but you're not always going to find good service. This had both. We LOVED our waiter, Adam. We had a question for just about everything we ordered, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. He shared our sense of humor while still remaining extremely professional, which just added to the experience (and let's face it - if you're going to spend a couple hundred dollars at a restaurant, you want it to be more than just good food - you want it to be an all around good experience!). Well worth it - would go back again and again.

On a quick business trip. Staying at a hotel 1 block away. Took a gamble. First the service is superb. From the moment you walk in. Cesar salad best I ve had in years and I was a chef in my past life who made them regularly with a raw egg. This was as close to a real Cesar down to the white anchovies as is possible. The shrimp Rissoto was perfect as well. I would reccomend Tempo to anyone wanting fine dining.

Beautiful and cozy romantic place for a night out with someone special. Watch the snow fall from the window as you sit next to the fireplace. The wine list is exceptional. The food is rich and not like anywhere else you have eaten. Wines from Europe are a treat to try and buy later. The service is upscale and dress is fancy.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here. My partner and I both agreed that their prosciutto-wrapped filets was one of our favorites anywhere. I can't believe I waited this long to try Tempo, but am so glad I did. The perfect spot for a special occasion and incredible cuisine!

For a special occasion or a memorable night out you can t beat Tempo. Service is the best around and each dish is special. The drinks- wine and spirits are perfect and the specials are to die for. Perfect for a romantic or a business dinner. Our goto spot for birthdays and anniversaries. Love it!

It was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience at Tempo, last night. Atmosphere was lovely, cocktails were delicious and food was very good. My filet mignon was exceptional... and better than the one I had at Morton s, recently. Our server, Jennifer, was a real gem. We will definitely be back!

Has to rank as the #1 restaurant in Buffalo ! Best foie gras I've ever had. Veal chop was wonderful. Superb wine list. A definite fine dining destination to include on your list. Easily competes with the more notable Italian restaurants in Manhattan.

Best meal I ve had in a while. Upscale, intimate setting. I ordered the maple brined pork chop with Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. I would come here again.

This is by far the best dining experience in Buffalo, the service is second to none, the cuisine is both creative and executed flawlessly. Fantastic wine selections, and the desserts, all made in house are absolutely sinful. Tempo always delivers 100%, every time.

Excellent service from seating hostess to waitstaff. The food was excellent also as well as the presentation. The appetizers to the entree were timed so there to enjoy each. Very attentive waitstaff. Would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

I was at your restaurant on Tuesday night with a big group and the waitress was very rude. I ask her for her recommendation on the main dish (which is not uncommon for customers to do) and she said "I can't help you with that. You should be able to order your own food". I never had something like that happened to me at a restaurant before. I was not expecting that to hear that from our waitress. We had also asked her earlier to take a picture of us and she said "no, I have to go to the kitchen now".

Food was to notch. Server was excellent. Front door greater was a bit snobby but I've heard that's the aroma of this place. Pricey but delicious..great for those extra special occasions!

Excellent dining and service. We had Joe for the evening and my sister and I were very impressed from the moment we walked in. The lobster bisque was amazing and the pesto and olives were equally delectable! I would recommend and return.

Love their food, ambience and quality service! I ordered the Steak au Poivre. Excellent! Every time we go to Hutch's, it's a home run!

Tempo is one of the last of the Buffalo culinary renaissance from the 80-90's. The owner/chefs have been around for a long time and were trained by some of the best owner operators, until going out on their own. All the food here is of the highest quality, and as well the service is very professional. What makes or breaks a great restaurant is consitency and Tempo can always be relied upon for a great meal regardless of the ocaision.

Went for my birthday! Best choice made ever!

I had the crispy octopus! Amazing combination of flavors and the contrast with the pork belly was very good!

Then I had the crisp yellowfin Tuna! Also amazing, not well cooked fetuccine and again the mix of ingredients favoring the lemon taste was amazing!

To end I had the tiramisu! It was the first one I ever had that wasn t not too sweet and you could enjoy the soft coffee flavor!

Definitely coming back!

I had the octopus starter that was awesome, my wife had lobster that was perfect but the highlight of the night was the salmon. Everything that came out of the kitchen had perfect execution and the service was top notch. This place just jumped to the top of my list

The host gave us a look like we shouldn't be in this restaurant when we walked in even though we had reservations... Everything else was fantastic as usual. I had the strip steak and we had the calamari as an appetizer along with the chocolate cake for dessert. Just a heads up if you get the chocolate cake it's about 5 lb and super rich but delicious & worth every calorie.

2nd visit and this time was even better. The food has been excellent both times and so has the service!

My girlfriend and I had dinner here while in Buffalo for a wedding a little over a week ago. It was spectacular. We had oysters and beef tartare for our appetizers and both were so delicious. The restaurant also serves delicious bread and focaccia with some picled vegetables and olives. Cocktails were delicious.

The place was packed full and the service was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Osso Bucco and I ordered the Filet wrapped with prosciutto. Wow, the gnocchi that came with our dishes was the best I've ever had, perfectly fluffy inside, it was awesome. The steak was rare just like I asked for, and it was probably the best steak I've ever had eating out.

Our server was friendly, dutiful and prompt. We had their tiramisu and homemade ice cream for dessert, which were both also excellent.

I'll be back next time in Buffalo for sure.

Food was great. Table ready when we arrived...right on time. Service was outstanding. Would highly recommend. Only complaint...room we were in was quite loud. Not sure what could be done about this.

Elegant, comfy, & intimate. Perfect for special occasion or a quiet drink at the bar. Great wine list with good selection by-the-glass at reasonable prices. Braised prosciutto tortellini special with abundant wild mushrooms was outstanding. Ubiquitous beet & goat cheese salad kicked it up a notch with cheese croquettes and 3 kinds of beets.

We were not expecting such great customer service, from the hostess collecting our coats to the detailed description of our meals by the servers.

For new commmers, I advice you that you dress well! The music, the interior and the service is all fancy! (Don't dress sloppy. You will feel out of place. )

Authentic Italian food. Buffalo's Best intimate dinning experience.

I was in Buffalo meeting up with some old friends. They chose the restaurant and said that they had heard good things. Those "good things" were spot on. The food was outstanding. I'm still having dreams about the lobster bisque. Service was equally good as all of our needs were tended to promptly. The waitress was a bit abrupt, but it didn't sour my experience at all. Most everyone working at the restaurant was friendly and helpful. I am looking forward.

Excellent dining experience, so glad we chose this place to spend our date night before the comedy show. Our service was great, the food was amazing. The specials looked fantastic but we ended up splitting a salad gnocchi and chicken Milanese. They even brought all the food out split into portions for us, so we didn't have to eat off each other's plates. Wish you guys were in Rochester.

Came in for a qucik meal, food and service were excellent.

Food and wine was excellent; upstairs is cold needed to wear my jacket; service was decent; New York City prices. we are not in NYC tempo...

A bit pricey, but most of the food was amazing. Chicken Malanese was decent but not great.

Delicious meal, horrendous waiter the one time I went (he interrupted my conversation to sit down in the booth next to me, put his arm around me, and criticize our food selections).

Good food. Ranking suffers from service. Waitress was great. Supporting service staff was poor. Young kid taking plates dropped dirty silverware in my lap and didn t even say sorry when it was clear food got on my clothes (as one example of the 3 poor occurrences that night).

I am from the Manhattan area and this was some of the best food I've ever had, everything was so fresh and paired extrodenarily, would highly recommend for anyone looking for an excellent meal and beyond accommodating service.

Had the bone-in ribeye, blackened/medium. It was melt-in-your-mouth good, and very very worth the price. The service was fantastic! The only downside is the parking, give yourself some extra time.

People who enjoy fine dining in Buffalo agree that Tempo is one of the best restaurants that Buffalo has to offer. Although not a steakhouse, their ribeye is always on the menu and is arguably the best steak in Buffalo. Second time in many years visiting here. Excellent service and dishes. Salads were ample an d my penne bolognese was great. Good wine selection and top rated service! Best place for a night out in downtown Buffalo.

A fantastic dining experience! Drinks, dinner, and dessert were all delicious. Mark was a great server and the rest of the staff was attentive as well. The venison loin was amazing!

It was my birthday so I decided to come to this resturant.I read the reviews about the amazing food and service. I must say it must have been an off night but my waiter was short of excellent, I have received better service at applebees. He did not apologize for charging us wrong and having to correct his mistake. He never acknowledged it was a group for a birthday. It would take a while before I decide to give it another try.

My mom, sister, brother, nephew, niece, and I ate dinner. We were there to celebrate my sister's birthday. Our server, Kyle, was great. So were all the staff. Our food was delicious. We shared the Carpaccio, Crispy Calamari, Chicken Milanese, and Sour Cream Chocolate Cake. My two rum and cokes were sublime.

We came in last night and had an AMAZING meal. Everyone was so friendly, the service was outstanding. The atmosphere is perfect. If you re looking to celebrate a special occasion this is the place. We were celebrating a special occasion and were brought complimentary Prosecco. Thank you for such a wonderful night!

So unexpectedly cool! The pirogies were the best I've ever had (we had the pulled pork, chicken wing, goat cheese and cookies and cream) and the overall ambiance is dynamite. Great local beer selection, too.

This will definitely be a regular spot for us.

The eggplant antipasto ($14) was excellent. It comes as a stack of slices of fried eggplant with goat cheese in between and topped with olive tapenade and sun dried tomato vinaigrette on a bed of baby greens. The eggplant slices thick enough not to be overpowered by the breading and the olive tapenade and sun dried tomato vinaigrette on top were delicious.

Had a business dinner here. Cuisine is top shelf, appetizers / bread very good. Dinners well prepared and timely, with appropriate portions. Fish, meats and pastas all came out perfect. Desserts, apertifs well done. Service was well done and unobtrusive. Prices as expected for this quality. Would certainly use this location for business or special occasions.
