Nice place to watch a concert if you can avoid the bugs
What a good surprised. My first time here was to watch the Foo Fighters and was really not expecting much. The place is really cool, the waterfront view something else to enjoy and a very good atmosphere in general, I had a great time.
Great views from all locations with top-flight acts throughout the summer.
Amazing venue with an incredible view. Great Soundsystem. Contrary to what you read online, beer and wine is sold at the venue. Ample parking and a decent shuttle service to the LIRR for most concerts.
Amphitheatre had a wonderful view and surroundings. Nothing obstructs your views and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The popcorn was stale and when I asked for a different batch they kindly obliged but that "fresh" bag was stale too. The manager didn't even interact with me about it. Again, nice staff tho, aside from her
Always have a good time when I'm here. Helpful staff, great sound. Plenty of FREE parking. Clean facilities. Easy access to the beach and a great view of the water from the amphitheater.
Great venue for a concert. Beautiful, on the water.
A great venue for a concert! The music sounds amazing. The views of over the water before the sun goes down are incredible. And watching your favorite bands play under the moon is a really unique experience
Concession prices were too high. Video screen too small, no protection from the weather, and being able to bring alcoholic beverages back to your seats. Seating use an update as well.
The sound wasn't great and the stage is lacking for larger, more theatrical acts. It is a unique location though.
Nice place to see a show wish it was easier to get to!
Luv beach concerts! As long as weather holds up! No fee for parking but the drinks and merch will surely cost you! Great venue to enjoy your favorite bands! Skynyrd rocked...as always!
Has to be organized a little better for beer buying.
They are testing new airport stype screeners and the wait to get in is very long.
Clean, friendly staff, convenient free parking, scenic backdrop
The only thing is from NYC the transportation is really inconvenient, and expensive; but this place is the best and really beautiful. Would definitely recommend to visit frequently if you have access to a car and they have really good deals too. 100/100
Seen so many concerts here I've lost count. Always a great experience coming out here.
Sweet place to see a show but scumbag police kick everyone out of the lot maybe 15 minutes after show ends? It's not right
Loved the place.... loved the show.... Our first summer concert... memories for life... ..
My favorite place to see a rock show but don't get the mezzanine seats.
Excellant venue. Lots of parking. Close to highways
Great venue for shows but only if you have a car... Commuting there BLOWS!!!!!
Great place to catch a concert! Had a great time, easy to find, and plenty of snacking options, beer, wine, and the usual soda. Sound quality was awesome!!
Beautiful venue but they took an hour and a half to tell us that the concert was cancelled. Also i had to go to a separate area to get alcohol and i couldn't take it with me to my seat so i had to chug a lemonade that didn't even get me buzzed to get back to my friends.
Not the old Jones beach, concessions so much better than back in the day, try to get seats in the original orchestra, stadium 1 or stadium 2
Great summer venue when the weather is right. Skynard put on another awesome show.
The venue is set up perfectly! It's a great spot to tailgate, plenty of room for parking and always a great show. The best part for me was the range of sound you hear from their speaker set up. My girlfriend and I went to see Rascal Flatts last night and it felt almost as if we were in a room watching them play just for us! Ontop of all of that you also get to see all the beautiful colors in the sky as it sets.
One of my favorite concert venues, decent parking, seating is good, seats are a bit uncomfortable and everything is pricey inside but that's expected.
Staff was pleasant and courteous. The sound was a bit too loud for the first act, but the amphitheater was only a quarter full. We enjoyed the main act (Toby Keith) very much. The crowd behaved reasonably--it was a fun experience.
My only complaint is the seats. They're so close together and barely any leg room
Place is great to see a concert, if it doesn't rain.
When the weather cooperates, you're not going to find a better venue to see a concert.
Not a bad seat in my opinion, worth the exception of the upper deck...I've sat everywhere and if you're going to be in that location, why be that high and far from the stage.
Concessions have improved, but they are a little pricey and not exceptional. You can bring in ONE SEALED bottle of WATER, that'll save you between $5 and $7.
Tailgate before in lot 4, walk thru path and over bridge to the stadium, you'll avoid all the craziness and post show traffic leaving the Zach's Bay lot.
A nice venue on the water, and a generally fun atmosphere. Sound was good, seats were reasonable, and good views throughout the house. As others have mentioned, food and drink are extravagant, which is why so many get there early to tailgate.
One element I really didn't enjoy: the hoops through which you must jump to enjoy your criminally overcharged beer. You step up to buy a $16 beverage and you are ID'ed. Sure! It's a concert. Then they give you a wristband to show your id has been checked. Neat! Except as they give you the band, they explain you'll still be asked to show your id every time you buy a beverage. Seems redundant, but ok!
Then you step fifteen feet away from the beer stand and a security officer comes up DEMANDING to see everyone's license. Okay, here you go again? What really bothered me about this was the lack of respect we were shown: he interviewed us each to make sure we knew the info on our license, and bent them back and forth, again and again, clearly convinced we had all procured fakes. (We're all 30, and it was our first and only beer of the night since they are, you know, $16!) Finally, he was satisfied that the beer he'd watched us buy was legit. I've never worked so hard to enjoy a beer, even when I WAS an underage drinker.
Side note: the same guy chased me down about 45 minutes later because he noticed I had a glass bottle of beer (that the vendor SERVED ME) so he made me walk back with him to that vendor to verify I hadn't snuck that beer in, to get a cup, and to scold us both because apparently I was holding a weapon.
Made it feel a little hard to relax and enjoy overall, but it did remind me of my co-ed days. (Oh! I just realized why everyone tailgates.)
Excellent food selection nice clean bathrooms great place to see concerts
One of my fav concert venues and I travel a lot to see shows. Always friendly and helpful staff, not a bad seat in the place and getting too & from is extremely fast and easy. Plus concert parking is FREE!!!
Used to be one of the top concert venues in the in the country but unfortunately with live Nation taken over they have gotten greedy so everything is extremely overpriced and God forbid the weather is not nice they do not cancel or postpone concerts you are stuck even if there is a tornado. It stinks to pay $500 for a concert ticket and have to stand there uncovered in the pouring rain
Gorgeous seaside scenery. The music is loud, but not ear piercing like most venues.
I come here for many events, from concerts to running. I always have a good time. It's not too difficult to navigate usually and it's nice to be on the water when watching a show. It's a grest spot.
Big acts play here in this nice outdoor stadium in the Spring and Summer
Getting into a parking lot for a concert is a complete disaster. Wish they would prepare for all the cars and get their act together. Post some signs for traffic flow. Not one police car directing traffic. Insane.
Another Line Nation venue with over priced consessions. .beautiful venue right on the water of Zachs Bay and near Atlantic Ocean. ..parking is plentiful. .they sell beer and cocktails at extremely high prices. .
Loved the bar and the acoustic set by lolo shang solo
Best Cancer Walk at Jones Beach
Incredible as always!
Excellent venue for a comedy show, but the vendor prices were unbelievably inflated. Worse than a ballpark
I love a concert at Jones Beach
One of the coolest places to see a band you like
Food and drinks are very expensive but all venues are!
I love it there
A staple of LI concert going. Overpriced, but what venue isn't.
A great place to see your favorite artists/Bands perform live. I've traveled from CT to there to see Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac perform there live up to a few years ago as they stop doing summer touring. Also visit the beach there too.Nice and relaxing even your are in the big city..........
Attended 3 concerts this summer, two of which were great experiences (Goo Goo Dolls and One Republic). However, the third was the worst experience I have ever had to endure which was at the O.A.R. concert. As I passed the security check when entering the arena I had a bad feeling about this concert as they did not thorougly our bags or anyone elses as they did at the two concerts previously. My premonition was correct, young kids under the age of 21 were pulling beer cans out their bags and smoking weed in right in front of me. I had to ask the security guards twice to tell the kids to stop smoking, how ridiculous!
jones beach light show was nice with its winter vibes and just in time for New Years. it could be seen how much work was put in to make the drive through light structures appeal to all.
Awesome venue. Had a great time. The sound wasn't all that good though unfortunately.
Great lineup, but jeez, the echo-ee sound just doesn't do it for me. And the car lot when leaving is the worst. If you're not from here, you better map out your trip because there are no signs and very few lights.
Great concerts... Great sound quality! Lousy video and speakers block back screen. Dirty bathrooms with long lines. Poorly managed venue, but still a must for your favorite musicians.
"the good-you're outdoors (hopefully the weather's nice),sound is decent depending on where you're sitting . the bad- you can't get a drink unless you're in the ""corporate"" area, the prices for everything else(including tickets most of the time) have increased every year to the point where they are now ridiculous. we used to attend shows fairly regularly here, not anymore"
