Was super disappointed with the Sparkle event. Took no more than 15 minutes to walk through the whole event and that s with the dome video included. Definitely was not worth the $20 for tickets. I would recommend going to zoo lights across the street instead. This might be a good event if you have kids but a terrible idea for date night. Felt like a waste of money.

Great place to spend time with kids. The proximity to the Zoo makes it even more attractive as in case the weather is not nice, there is always a chance to spend time there. We loved the food in the cafeteria as well. Quite pricey, but tasty. The Dome theater was questionable. The movie was hard to watch and almost felt like it was 3d, but demonstrated on the dome-like ceiling. Overall, we will keep this place in mind for sure for future travels!

This is our third year having a membership here. It's a great place for kids! Huge space for them to explore and play. The presentations they have in the theatre room and the main area are very engaging and interesting. Since they have the large outside play area we can also enjoy the outdoors when the weather is nice enough. The circus that they have right now is very fun and educational. I really like that the dome theatre is now included in memberships. It can get very busy so I try to not go at peak hours. Its definitely geared more towards kids. I don't think it would be very worthwhile for adults to go alone.

We love to visit Telus Spark! The hands-on interactive displays throughout provide hours of engaged learning. The Inspired Stage, Dome presentations, and outdoor playground are highlights for us as well. We always learn something new!

The Telus Sparks Science centre is amazing and so interactive. Our kids had a blast exploring in several areas of the science centre.

We watched two of the shows including a show on fire which dazzled the audience and a show outside to launch some Rockets. The show was near closing time so they had to rush through it.

Great place for all ages. Very pricey in my opinion and not flexible in fees/memberships. Note: if you don't have a membership you pay $10 for parking.

But otherwise a great place for children to play, explore and learn.

I do not have kids, I simply enjoy science centres... most anyway. any time i visit a city I try to goto their science centre. so when my home city built a new one I was excited.

The building is amazing... the contents less so. Most displays felt cheap and out of place.
As is the norm most displays are aimed at children and although it was a busy day the vast majority of stations were empty with the kids instead playing in the water or wandering aimlessly through the vast amounts of empty space. $20 for an adult $13 for kids and $16 for youth plus an extra $8-$30 to see any of the shows is rather expensive considering it was a 45 minute visit and we saw everything! I am a zoo member and happily pay my membership year after year because I feel there is some value in it.

after one visit to Telus Spark I left feeling disappointed and ripped off!

I would not recommend Telus Spark to any of my friend with or without kids.

I bought tickets to Telus Spark Adult Only night, expecting to see the current exhibit. I had attended the adult only night before so I expected this night to be no different. The current website is misleading in that there were two purchase options, general admission and general admission with the dome show. I was not interested in the available dome show so I purchased general admission. Upon entry I was informed that my general admission did not include entrance to exhibit (this is not specified on the ticket.) Had I known, I would not have purchased the tickets. General admission included access to their standard displays which have not changed since the last time I attended, highlights include Lego and a sandbox. I m disheartened by the grossly mismanaged event, I feel as though I was deceived. What's worse is that had I been given the option to and purchased the extra ticket to the exhibit I would have been turned away due to the two hour wait, because the event was oversold.

Good for kids but could be much better. On the other hand the cafeteria food is the best I've had in any similar public place like this. Burgers are on the pricy side but they are really, really good.

Could not believe the reviews after visiting. Both adults had a blast and the 10 year old was fascinated and the 5 year ran jumped and played himself out! Totally worth it in every way. It will be part of my yearly visit to Calgary every time from now on!

The kids really enjoy spending time here with so many hands on experiences and live science shows. We been members since the place opened years ago. Fun activities for all ages of the family members.

Smaller than I expected. First time visiting at this building. Couple of schools where there at the same time but it wasn't too crowded or over booked. Saw 2 of the dome shows both were lovely. Exhibits were interesting, staff were informatitive. Animals inside out was incredible. Facility was clean. We didn't eat any food while visiting so no comment on that. Felt like a reasonable amount of entertainment for the price. Gift shop had some amazingly brilliant gag gifts.

Nice looking but way over priced for the experience. Expensive for a family of four to attend. This feels like an immature science centre and has a long way to go. Telus Spark in Edmonton is substantial better which is major disappointment for us Calgary folks and a missed opportunity. I think there are a series of poor decisions made where instead of focusing on science, engagement with the masses and getting children to fall in love with science they have focused the resources on a great looking building.

The science centers okay, but I definitely prefer the old one the best. This new science center is more like an oversized Daycare, after an hour or so of wandering around you've seen pretty much everything. There's definitely a lot to be desired and while its fun for kids I feel it's lacking for the adults or teenagers.

I definitely found myself sitting and chatting with other parents rather than trying to engage my niece of nephew because they were already busy playing in the big jungle gym or with the toys provided.

I would actually prefer going to the old one better because there was a lot more to interact with.

Spark has a fairly narrow age range that will enjoy the whole experience but there is lots of stuff for kids to do. Admission, parking and the cafeteria are particularly pricey but the building is kept clean there are often things going on for kids to participate in

We love the science center so much that we bought memberships. On our most recent trip we decided to add a parking pass for the year. We went to setup the account and were unable to because the number provided by the center had not been activated. After several emails and phone calls we were advised that they cannot fix it and we'll have to take it up with the parking authority. Parkplus cannot activate Sparks numbers and say they need to fix it. I'm writing this review to prompt Spark to address the issue further as we're currently not receiving any answers. We also have a parking ticket to look forward to because this issue has taken over 3 days to resolve and the account should have been active that day. Hopefully Spark will recognize the major inconvenience this has caused.

Charged us full admission, then we discovered the main exhibit was closed and the upstairs was roped off. What little there was to see was overrun by two large school groups. Called to express my feedback but they haven't got back to me in the month since.

So much fun to walk around and see new things. All the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Very impressed. I like how its full of kids playing but it still quite in side with no ecos.

My wife and I recently attended the science center adults only night and it was a blast! The exhibits were cool and interactive. Tip bring cash with you and possibly change for the lockers.

Not impressed after spending so much on a yearly pass. Our two year old became so violently ill (terrible cold and profuse diarrhea) for over two weeks after visiting. She was so sick we had to take her to children s hospital - whereupon the Physician said he sees so many kids get sick visiting there that he would never take his own children. He said they must not do any sort of cleaning of the toys etc. well, after six months we took her again and low and behold violently ill again. What a waste of a couple hundred dollars- not to mention the displays are sponsored by some of the richest companies but often lack appropriate descriptions. In the children s area there are no descriptions of content and exhibits do not change.

The exhibit was great. However some of them were not working. The animal exhibits were definitely worthwhile. Canteen food was good but costly. The theatre was also a great addition.

We went for an Adults Only night, which is held every second Thursday of the month from 6PM-10PM. There were several small interactive exhibits set up with the theme for the night, along with an excellent guest speaker we saw in a small theatre. We got to go to the main exhibits without having to worry that kids were waiting to see, it's a neat concept having adults only, it works really well. There is also drinks for sale, they aren't allowed in some areas but there is enough to see on the main floor that you can finish it before going to the exhibits. The tickets in are regular price standard admission, about twenty bucks, and drink tickets were $7.50. Parking is also $5.00, so I would advise heading there for 6PM to get your moneys worth and have time to see everything. There is also a small restaurant on the second floor, I didn't get to try anything but it looked to have several people eating.
