Specifically for children. Pretty disappointed to go there and pay $26 a person as a date day. The exhibits are built for children and there is very little to keep adults engaged in being there.

Compared to places like the Zoo, Drumheller Dinosaur Museum, or the Military Museum, this place is a waste of time and money.

Geared more for parents of younger kids.

Expected the whale exhibition to actually be a bit better. If I knew all it had I would not have paid the price for admission as nobody checked my ticket and I could have walked straight in.
Pay parking in Calgary is ridiculous, and paying to go into either the zoo or the science centre is setup only to deter people from parking for free and hoping on the LRT to go to work downtown instead of paying exhorborant rates downtown

It's alright, the Friday fivers are definitely worth it, everything for five bucks including entry. Would not be worth the full entry price though, there's enough to do to kill about an hour's time. But it's not really maintained well so stations are messy or out of materials to interact.

Excellent time. I have a three year old who will spend multiple hours in the children's museum at a time. Great place to go if you want to get out of the house but go somewhere indoors for kids to run around.
The annual pass pays for itself in around 3 or 4 visits. Great value!

We ve been to many science centers, and this is by far the worst. Don t waste your time and money.

There were many non-working and broken exhibits. The exhibits that were working were not explained well, and some not at all.

If you re at all concerned about cleanliness, this is not the place for you. We never once saw someone cleaning hands on exhibits, which has been commonplace in every other science center we ve been at.

I certainly wouldn t recommend this place to anyone, young, old, or in between

What a waste of money.

What a waste of money.
Might be ok for a school field trip but for a day out it was not worth it.
Spend 2 hours playing with foam blocks that we could have found at a play center for 60 dollars cheaper.

This place is great! So much to do for all ages. We went with our 2 year old and she did so much. There is an entire section for kids, and they always have some sort of traveling show going on. Lots of parking (10 dollars for parking), and all the staff are super friendly. We added our day pass to a season pass and it is very reasonably priced.

The only thing that was well done was movie on the big screen. Most of the experiments have been brought over from the old building. I won't bring my family back. No learning experiences, etc. It was a glorified daycare. No explanations on why things worked... Just lots to play with. Disappointing. No staff around to replenish materials at stations that needed them. The bubbles experiment in the atrium was neat but the girls that did it didn't explain why it worked, etc. Just asked... Who wants to see bubbles? The dinosaur exhibit was cool for the first couple and then got old fast... the dinos didn't really move that well and it was the main reason we came. The TRex even needed to have a staff member there to move the mouth because the controls didn't work properly. Lots of stuff was broken or not working as well.

It's a really nice and new building, but it doesn't seem to have much to offer. It seems to be more focused for small children, although I Haven been to the adult only nights. Good place for the family with young kids.

I enjoyed the Sparkle Sparkle event for this holiday season. The lights are stunning.

I wasn't so impressed with the limitations set out or used, however.
They asked if all in your group was from the same household and if you said no then no one in your group was allowed in and you had to get a refund for the tickets and parking cost.
We saw a number of families facing this problem as we went in.

I don't understand how this is different then the same people going in separately, either arriving at separate times or one after the other. It makes no sense. The same people are in there. We're around strangers, all masked and distancing. I don't get it.

And as far as I know, they didn't advise ticket holders/purchasers that they should only attend with people from their own household. Especially before buying tickets.

My only qualm with the place is the price. The entrance fee is hefty, especially for lower middle class families. Otherwise the place is amazing for families. Some of the toilets are toddler sized (and don't have a loud flush). The cafe has seating for people who bring their own food -- it has microwaves too! There is a huge room geared to under 7 yr olds.

A great place for kids to learn about science in a fun way! The temporal exhibitions are amazing and so are the movies they show at the dome, the price I think it's fine because it includes most of the things they have inside the place, right now the temporal exhibition is "Animal inside out" and it is amazing! I can't wait to see what exhibitions they will have in the future

I m always underwhelmed by the number of fascinating exhibits here. Very expensive, not super detailed, the architecture is poor, the space is not very inspiring and parking is mandatory paid. I want the old science centre back.

A really fun place to be to learn more about the world we live in. The human experience and whale exhibits were super fun and I loved how hands-on everything was. Well worth the price of admission.

Had so much fun with my Nephew. Lots to learn and see. My nephew is 4 and there was a lot he wasn't interested in and he was really upset he couldn't go on the big slide outside. I would have had a hard time getting up there as well.

It's such a let down. Feels like it is only geared towards children. You can see it all in 30 minutes as a lot of it won't be interesting to adults.
Other cities have such better science centre's it's a shame.

This place is pretty cool. Lots of little experiments and things to do. Seems to be more for kids so it can be quite annoying if you go while lots of kids are there. Coming from Toronto it was just a lesser version of the Toronto Science Center.

Great exhibits but don't expect to see it all in one visit. You'll need to go a few times to experience it all. Also skip the movie. Unless you are seated right in the middle the dome screen is not a great watching experience.

Membership is totally worth it! It pays for itself in a couple visits and we also enjoy it because we don't feel rushed to go through the entire centre each visit. This can be especially useful with little ones. After lunch my youngest is ready for a nap so we'd miss lots of the exhibits because they're occupied.

The volunteers are a great wealth of knowledge and the staff is wonderfully helpful. We were gifted memberships a few years back and had a miscommunication error from the gifter. The staff was incredibly gracious while our littles (along with their cousins- 5 kids under the age of 4... smh) were getting overly excited in the process of us scrambling through emails and frantic texting. I'm grateful for the staff courteousness not only in that event, but also for their pleasant demeanour with each subsequent visit.

Ticket girl was amazing, just awesome! Though very expensive for a family. Some cool stuff to see, for sure, but a lot of things not working and in need of repair The cafeteria was annoying, ridiculous, with lame menus that were hard to read with poor descriptions and the expensive food was a total let down---bring a lunch. Day camp supervisors seemed be on vacation with kids running rampent with very little supervision.

I went for a school trip and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The kids were kept entertained for the full 5 hours we were there with all the different areas, and a workshop put on by a staff member. It's a great place to let kids loose without worrying about their safety or interest. There is something for everyone to enjoy here!

I love taking our 18 month old son here. He can be amused for hours in the children's section of Spark. At the same time my husband and myself love exploring the many exhibits. There is definitely something for everyone and the clean and well maintained venue coupled with friendly helpful staff make memberships worth it.

It was a good visit, if a little expensive. Ample pay parking. Washrooms were clean. The day we went was quite busy and crowded but the people were handled quite well an we all flowed with little waiting or boredom. The displays are more oriented towards young children which is okay as long as you know. Adults can find things to learn about as well if you look. This has improved greatly since the last time I was there. We took in one of their limited time special displays on what animals (and people) look like without skin and layers of flesh. Creepy and kinda gross for me but fascinating for more of the biology oriented crowd.

Always something to explore whether a Star Wars theme, Whales Tohoro exhibit, etc. Open Studio s always fun with ample parking. Visit to the Zoo (in close proximity) can be planned as a whole day trip with kids.
