The best part of the museum was the indoor section where you need to pay in order to enter. There was a very moving exhibition about the war in Crimea (didn't take pictures because it was some kind of disrespectful) and also the permanent exhibition about II World War (Eastern Europe). I am not very fond of War museums but it is always worthy since there is always something new to learn. The only disadvantage was that not all written explanations are provided in English so you have to do your own research if you want to go deeper in knowledge. After paying the entrance make sure you go downstairs to leave your belongings, otherwise it is not possible to enter the museum.

It is a bit strange to see at the entrance to the museum a semi-disassembled military equipment - an armored personnel carrier without wheels and so on. As if this is a dump of military equipment, not a museum. The territory itself is beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the Left Bank. Well, the museum itself under the roof is very interesting and informative, once worth a visit.

An excellent historical museum, for those who are interested in military equipment and history will definitely like it. There is also an opportunity to climb to the observation deck which is located in the shield of the Motherland Mother.

Very cool! Huge territory, nice to the eye! The child is really tired of walking. Don't do as we do - take a stroller !!!)))
The views are gorgeous. The monument near the motherland is worth it to reach! Well, and you have to look at the big aunt, because she's the only one like that. They didn't find where to drink and chew, so take it with you.

No photographs or programs will convey the atmosphere of this place. Visited 15 years ago, impressions remained for years. Majestically. The Motherland Monument is striking near. It seems to me that it is worth a visit for both adults and children. You need to allocate at least 3 hours for the tour, so be prepared to walk a lot. During the visit, we were especially impressed by the exposition, when there were glasses on a very long table and a piece of bread on them (the tears themselves came up). And the dome with the names of Heroes of the Soviet Union. The feat is priceless.

Paid entrance. Interesting exhibitions. It is much more fun with a guide, but you have to wait until the group gathers or pay for an individual excursion. Informative, especially for children.

This museum is just okay. Unfortunately it is not really interactive nor informative but just a gathering of things from the past. I felt like the structure was still influenced by Soviet times. I have seen more neutral museums before. Fortunately you can get student discounts. I would maybe recommend it for a rainy day but in general there is so much things in Kiew I would visit before.

According to the name, there should also be exhibitions devoted to time 39-41 when western Ukraine was invaded by the USSR.
It is not known why (I will remind you that it is a museum of Ukrainian history) exhibition of the blockade of Leningrad. With existing exhibitions, this museum should be called "Museum of the Patriotic War of the USSR"

This sits right outside of the Motherland Monument, with some interesting vehicles, art, and sculptures. Easy to get to, wide open spaces, very inexpensive exhibits, and... Just a really cool place. They did a spectacular job putting this together!

Large territory, sometimes at the memorial complex exhibitions are held. The museum has 3 floors, each of which displays the history of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. The museum is worth attention.

Awesome place, interesting and important exposition (on WWII and on the recent war in Donbas). Guides who speak very good english and used to work in the military sector are available. They have a lot of great info that foreigners will find interesting. Bonus: instagrammable views, and lots of tanks to pose with.
