Impressive opera house, the third biggest in Europe. It was built between 1875 and 1897. It can fit 1380 at a time. It has natural airconditionning and a beautiful accoustic systems. The visit is around 20 minutes and it is worth it. The architecture is beautiful and it is definitely a landmark of Palermo.

There are no words when it comes to this monument! Just looking at it from the outside is something extraordinary ... so I'm not talking about the inside! It is worth visiting.

It was not a play on but still we had to pay to have a look at the theater inside. It was not what I was expecting.

I loved the visit, but I thought the price they charge to visit the rooftop terrace is not worth it.
The real impressive part of the visit is the theater. You need to pay 8 euro to go inside it.
The terrace is another 12 euro. It's a very common panorama to pay 12 euro for 5 minutes at the top.

X the first time at the Massimo theater. ... a marvel

Impressive building, but sadly in worn condition. Furniture and paints need refreshing as well as repairs from water damage in the ceiling.

Magical atmosphere. Donizetti's Favorite has been set up in an excellent way. The cast consists of powerful and vibrant voices, elegant and evocative scenography, rich costumes and attention to detail, the body of dance always valid, the direction, as well as the direction of the orchestra, sober and elegant. 8 euros for a 30-minute tour. I took a simultaneous tour in English and Italian.
Unfortunately, when I ask a woman at the ticket office or tour guide, it's pretty bad.

Fabulous place, the biggest theatre in Italy I thought the biggest is in Milan, but I was surprised it was Massimo in Palermo! Love it and loved Palermo.

The theater is beautiful. Every time we go to Palermo, it's a mandatory stop. A work of art to be seen at least once in a lifetime. Unfortunately I have not yet visited the interior, but the exterior already leaves us speechless. To see absolutely in the evening.
