To be seen definitely. The theater is beautiful, and is a piece of Italy's history. It would be nice to train the guides that accompany the visitors in more detail and tell a little more about this theater.

It is the symbol of an illuminated era. Piece of history of Palermo and the Europe of Liberty. The stage was traced by the most important names in music, ballet and opera. It is the right place to feed the soul. There is the possibility of taking season tickets to the theater season.

Impressive opera house, the third biggest in Europe. It was built between 1875 and 1897. It can fit 1380 at a time. It has natural airconditionning and a beautiful accoustic systems. The visit is around 20 minutes and it is worth it. The architecture is beautiful and it is definitely a landmark of Palermo.

I loved the visit, but I thought the price they charge to visit the rooftop terrace is not worth it.
The real impressive part of the visit is the theater. You need to pay 8 euro to go inside it.
The terrace is another 12 euro. It's a very common panorama to pay 12 euro for 5 minutes at the top.

Wonderful place! A must see with a guided tour. The third largest opera house in Europe, after the Paris Opera and the Vienna Opera House. One of the many flowers in the eye of Palermo, a beautiful city with a unique architecture on Italy!

Magical atmosphere. Donizetti's Favorite has been set up in an excellent way. The cast consists of powerful and vibrant voices, elegant and evocative scenography, rich costumes and attention to detail, the body of dance always valid, the direction, as well as the direction of the orchestra, sober and elegant. A wonderful evening. Money well spent.

A theater that should be visited if you come to this city.
The theater is nice.
8 euros for a 30-minute tour. I took a simultaneous tour in English and Italian.
Unfortunately, when I ask a woman at the ticket office or tour guide, it's pretty bad.
So it s 4 stars.

Completed in 1897, it is one of the largest theaters in Europe. Beyond the monumental entrance, the hall has five tiers of boxes, decorations and frescoes. It hosts theatrical and musical performances and can also be visited outside the shows. To live.

An artistic place, where music is pure art, where you can immerse yourself in the imagination and remain equally in the real world. A well cared for environment both inside and outside. The Teatro Massimo strikes you for its architectural majesty: arriving outside you have the feeling of entering the spa or in an ancient Roman temple; as soon as you enter ... WOW! The interior is meticulously decorated: the horseshoe-shaped hall, the compositions of the stages and furnishings, the stalls, each element inside is designed to live the work and not simply look at it as a simple film. If you love music, opera, and you want to immerse yourself as if you were the protagonists, I recommend it !!!

I could not visit it, but even in the evening looking at it from the outside leaves you in a state of admiration ... above all it makes you reflect the sentence on the pediment: Art renews peoples and reveals their life. Vain of the scenes the delight where you do not aim to prepare the future .

We are in a very popular place in Palermo ... come here in the evening if you want to walk

Wonderful theater, but a 15 euro ticket .. in practice only a few can visit it! Do Palermo's know their theater? No, and few tourists also want to visit it because they are expensive. The positive note is therefore for those who want to visit it: it must not do any queue! Too bad, this is not the right way to disseminate art and to increase tourism!

This is a must-see landmark in Palermo and it's one of the most important ones in Italy: it's the biggest theatre in Italy and the second one in the world. Located in the heart of the city and built in the late 1890s, this is the best that a neoclassical and romantic theatre can offer. You can usually visit it normally and there are of course plays that you can attend to.

Beautiful and evocative, to pay attention to the smallest or largest details that escape at first sight. This kind of works of art must be observed carefully to grasp the most hidden secrets from a rough look. Magical and suggestive!

It is the 3rd biggest theatre after the one of Paris and the Opera house in Vienna

The theater is beautiful. Every time we go to Palermo, it's a mandatory stop. A work of art to be seen at least once in a lifetime. Unfortunately I have not yet visited the interior, but the exterior already leaves us speechless. To see absolutely in the evening.
