Sensational place. We sat 5 floor to the right, good place. Watch an opera in the theater, a great experience. If it's just to take pictures, pay for the guided tour.

I tried to get a ticket for the 15.00 tour in English today but did not realise that it had to be done in advance. When I arrived at the theatre at 14.10, all tours were fully booked for the day. As I am leaving Buenos Aires tomorrow at 07.30 in the morning and will not return, I asked the security man at the tour booking hall if there was any possibility of getting just one ticket. His response was "In English and in Spanish we are booked up." I then mentioned that I will leave Buenos Aires tomorrow morning and probably will never return. His response? "Good-bye". Such nastiness and arrogance was in no way necessary or deserved. I suggest the security staff start having courses on how to treat clients with respect and kindness. Fortunately others working at the theatre, notably on the catering side, are much more respectful and friendly. A bad experience to finish what otherwise was an enjoyable stay in Buenos Aires.
