Loved, went on the guided tour in Spanish, almost 50min. The theater is beautiful, architecture sensational. Admission is expensive (equivalent today to $ 60), but well worth the visit. I have not yet had the opportunity to go on a show.

It is a jewel of Latin American architecture, built at the beginning of the 20th century. I was lucky enough to be able to attend a free piano and violin concert before the guided tour. The acoustics are spectacular and the music can be heard without any electronic amplification. It was recently restored. Guided tours start at 9 am.

We sat up high in Paraiso al Pie, sound was amazing! Saw the opera, Norma. Price very inexpensive, and sitting up so high, they also have bench seats if you get tired of standing.

You are very impressed with how beautiful it is, much more than any photo you could have seen.
