Spectacular Opera house. As travellers from the USA, we were fortunate to be here during a production of Don Pasquale. It was a modern interpretation and extremely well done. And because of the currency crisis in Argentina, our 4th row tickets were about $US150. Wow! This hall is storied and a sight to behold. Highly recommended if you are on Buenos Aires.
One time I went to a choral concert and was delighted with the place and its acoustics, but the most magical experience was once, during the week, I went through one of the side streets of the Colon and found an open door that opened onto a wide hall. I entered, out of curiosity and climbed a side staircase that took me to the entrance hall. Rarely was there anyone to guard. When I turned, the central entrance of the stalls was open. I entered and walked calmly until the beginning of the audience, almost to the stage. I turned around and I could appreciate the majesty of the place in the silence. I was very impressed and it was an unforgettable short experience. When they can go to the Colon. I think there are guided tours. Safety pin!!
Visiting our son in Buenos Aires, we took a tour of the Teatro Colon. An absolutely incredible opera house and performance venue. There is probably nothing like it in the U.S. Amazing architecture and decor! We heard a mid-day rehearsal of a contemporary music performance sitting at the very back of the hall on the third tier. Beautiful acoustics!
Amazing auditorium, the tour was fantastic and it was from this, we found out that one could go to a concert for a fraction of the cost for the tour. The acoustics are so good at this theatre that our tour guide was told off for speaking too loudly, his voice was heard on the main stage from which rehearsals were on. One can also go to these rehearsals for free by getting tickets the night before.
EXCELLENT THEATER. One of the best in the world. Or the best one.
After a renovation work that lasted for years, his condition is excellent, wonderful.
Guided tours are made several days a week and at different times.
There is also the possibility of getting free tickets to see a work.
One of the most beautiful theaters I have ever visited.
Extraordinary place. Sensational guided tour. I just think we could walk a little closer to the stage and the audience.
Hallucinate In Argentina we have the theater with the best acoustics in the world. At the level of Vienna and Milan. Unmissable experience
An architectural marvel, the best opera theater in the world
All an experience! I recommend doing the guided tour. It is very beautiful, beautiful architecture, ornamentation and the main room at the height of the best in the world.
Wonderful experience of lavishness and an incredible feeling when trying one of the best acoustics in the world !!!!
It is a very important theater worldwide and our excellent national pride.
It is really beautiful ... but short visit ... I wanted to go and know much more ...!
Beautiful everything, but the security curtain was closed and we could not see the original. The guide is very educational, pleasant and very predisposed to answer the questions
Beautiful Theater. Always with some presentation in the poster. Super vale. It is right in the center of the city. It creates the contrast of the old with the new. Old and modern ... Well cool this game. Oh, there are guided tours .... they are very time consuming ... kind of like 2h30 / 3h ...
It has in Spanish and English.
A big surprise was these visits. End.recorrido with guide and at night to a function. DO NOT STOP GOING. There are functions for all hours and pockets and all are good. And not to mention the beauty of the theater itself ..... do not stop going
The most beautiful in architecture. Quality of shows
Beautiful theater with many activities and tours to do, I still need to know much about the Colon theater
High prices. The menu is incomplete and unclear, the beer is not waw and you are screwed serving yourself in small glasses. The food is quite tasty.
It was a shame the entrance. Slow, disorganized. 1 block from row, I sat down and the recital began. Behind me was 50 meters in a row, many people entered during the 2nd song. A disaster. They made an impeccable recital. If they reported that the doors opened 30 minutes before, I went 20 minutes before and entered the room together with the singer. Already, there was the orchestra and the musicians. Just as I entered I was late. A shame.
I participated in the guided tour of the theater. A true lesson in history, art and culture!
Imposing and very beautiful theater. Although relatively expensive, the guided tour is a must in Buenos Aires.
With tickets starting at $ 150, not knowing him is almost sin. A beautiful place where sight and hearing receive pampering
It is a unique, great place; Superbly maintained and guided tours extremely punctual and with very good technical level. Safety pin
One of the most beautiful places of Buenos Aires, there are works for everyone liked, there are also for children I also find it excellent when they take the works to the street and for free
Incredible facilities, very well preserved, the guide who made the tour very well prepared and who answered all the questions in a friendly and loquacious way. A place with a lot of history that should be known and enjoyed
Is incredible. Magical. Unmatched acoustics ... UNICO
Beautiful theater but from the side Paradise locations you can't see half the stage
The teller told us the guided tour started at 3:30 but when we got there it was at 3:00. She was rude and told us we had to buy tickets again. If you are an English speaker watch out they take advantage and are rude about it,
Incredible experience, I went to the "Standing Paradise" which is the most economical location and I could see the function well.
It is a wonderful place, the guided tour is very cheap ($ 150 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. costs a little less). Very friendly and knowledgeable guides. The tour is very short, you want more
Incredible, spectacular, amazing ... Without a doubt, the best theater.
It is stunning spectacular very well maintained is a unique place in the world
Must visit !!
Guided tours take place until 17:00.
The place is impressive, a mix of architectural styles that characterize the eclectic. The guide's details make it all the more interesting, it's really worth it!
Next time I have to go in !! I still did not have the privilege !!! It is an icon of the city of Buenos Aires
Incredible place with a very fascinating history. Unlike all the other buildings we saw around town this really charmed and surprised us because we did not expect so much beauty. The guided tour is worth doing a lot. We paid 800pesos per person. It depends on the time it gets 650pesos. If you can book a show even better.
I did not do the guided tour for lack of time. The view from the outside is already worth a visit and Lavalle square, which is in the back, is very worth knowing. There is the Palace of Justice which is also beautiful!
First level theater Recently renovated and excellently maintained. Guided tours and coffee shop. Recommended jacket / tie for them and length for them in the galas.
The guided tour is quite limited but the theater is beautiful and fabulous conditions
One of the most stunning places I had the opportunity to visit. Worth the queue and the ticket price.
Beautiful, worth visiting completely, absolutely stunning.
The staff is super friendly and the prices are good

The guided tour is very complete and they have an option in English and Spanish.
It's very beautiful, great.
It is a very beautiful work and the decoration. Wonderful.
One block from pure luxury
Congratulations to Buenos Aires.
It is wonderful, from my point of view it is the first in the world. Sobriety, and its acoustics are unique .... it is worth a guided tour ....
It is worth visiting, I would return without hesitation
I really recommend it. The guided tour costs $ 150 and lasts approximately 50 minutes. The guide who played us was very good, he explained and told the history of the theater in an excellent way. It is the 2 time I visited and I like it more and more
It is wonderful, one of the most beautiful theaters. Complete for everything you have. Excellent conservation. Perfect acoustics I have participated in great and the best shows: dance and concerts.
Amazing Symphonic Star Wars experience. Impeccable. It was worth every $. The perfect organization. The staging, the musicians the director, everything! Tickets from $ 400. The stalls are very expensive, but I know it's worth it.
One of the best theaters in the world, for its acoustics, emblem of the national culture, do not miss visiting it in Buenos Aires.
Excellent design and acoustics. Very well maintained.
Too bad they don't have more stars to rate. It is magenous
It is no news to say that it is one of the most important music and dance theaters in the world. Having him in Buenos Aires and in the state he is in is really a pride. You have to look for excuses to visit it. And excuses are left over
I have to explain why I liked and like the Colon theater
An incredible building, the restoration work of recent years was fantastic.
Gorgeous inside and out, didn't have a chance to see a performance but beautiful
