Although it's a landmark in Buenos Aires, very very beautiful inside with superbe acoustics and the excellent concert presentation, service was disappointing. Some ushers on the ground floor were not polite at all. On the second floor balcony level there was just one lady to open the balconies' door and usher the guests to their designated seats (she didn't let people get to their seats on their own). As there are 35 balconies imagine all the back and forth walking she had to do to take care of all the costumers and all the waiting we had to endure. This could have been avoided with better management of human resources.

We arrived at 4:00 PM for the guided tour and we could not do it. It seems unfair because it is not our fault that many people have gone. Employees in these cases have to extend their schedule, to comply with the established. Apart we already know that it is the best theater in the world, and for that reason they should have allowed us to make the visit. And if not change the schedule

The theater is wonderful, but the use that the city government gives it, which does not understand anything about culture, is painful, they called a drawing jam, without musicians, or music in general, and without models to draw.

It is a beautiful place, a piece of Europe in Argentina, the story told by the guide serves to understand its complexity and magnificence, everyone who has the opportunity should visit it at least once.

The guided tour lasts approximately 50 minutes.

Needless to say, it is well cared for and is the best place to witness a play, ballet or concert.

Beautiful theater, sorry not to have seen any show here, not to do as I did see the programming on the site of the theater. If you can't, make the guided tour that is already well worth it!

Beautiful opera house! We don't speak Spanish so we had to sign up for the English tour, and they only offer it by the hour. So prepare amble time if you want to go in. The inside is gorgeous, especially the fasade and the golden room. Highly recommend.

The Colon Theater in Buenos Aires is one of the most important opera houses in the world. Its rich and prestigious history and the exceptional acoustic and architectural conditions of its building place it at the level of theaters such as the Scala of Milan, the Opera of Paris, the Opera of Vienna, the Covent Garden of London and the Metropolitan of New York. It is a mandatory stop on your visit to Buenos Aires, keep in mind that there are free events and I highly recommend that you pay the guided tour, approximately 700 Argentine pesos.
